Walking away from Natalie hurt so much after sharing such a passionate kiss between us but what disturbed me is the way Dana talked to Natalie it pissed me off, so I back tracked and went directly up to her face and spoke what I have never said to someone.

“Natalie is perfect for me and she doesn’t need your unadvised opinion on who she ends up with after that asshole leaves her. I will not put up with homophobic idiots like you in our life. Now, take care of her before I make her come with me.” I said as my temper flared.

I knew Sheila wasn’t going to hold me back as Dana stood her ground.

“Natalie is for Jesus not for you, lesbian bitches. I will see to it that she finds a better man than her man. As for you, never come back to New York for her, she will always be a part of my Christian life.” Dana replied fuming.

Before I could say anything else Natalie turned Dana around and slapped her across the face so harsh that it left a red mark. I was surprised that Natalie had it in her to slap someone like that. Natalie grabbed my hand and we went out of that airport quick, not sure where we were going as Sheila tried to keep up and get answers out of Natalie but it took everything we could to keep running out of the airport. We finally stopped once we got far enough from the airport that Natalie turned me around.

“Damn that felt good to slap Dana, she has been needing it for as long as I can remember. You two better head on home to Texas, and Sheila keeps her out of trouble while I am here for a little while.” Natalie said.

“You are still going to stay here after Dana said all that about you?” I asked my eyebrows raised.

“I have other friends and they don’t know my whole life story but do understand that I have privacy that is respected.” Natalie replied smiling.

I couldn’t believe that Natalie knew so many people in such a big filled area. I kissed her passionately once more as Sheila tugged me away from Natalie. We got back in my truck though I didn’t want to leave but she knew this would fly by faster if she went back home and took care of her babies that needed her badly. It took us a whole day and then some making our way back to Texas felt like forever going back home but we needed to be there.

Soon as I walked in the door, my home phone went off without warning and I ran over to it when I finally calmly breathed.

“Hello?” I said into the receiver.

“Amber, please tell me this is you.” The woman replied on the other end.

“Yes, yes it is.” I responded unsure of who it was.

“Thank goodness, this is Natalie’s mother, I do not approve of you and my daughter making out in public and I forbid you two to be together. If my daughter comes back to you, I will make sure she isn’t allowed to return here. For right now she is staying with us until her divorce is final from that asshole.” The woman replied sternly.

“Excuse me, I don’t know who you are exactly but me and Natalie love each other and it is her decision to come back to me. Goodbye.” I hung up the phone with force that I almost knocked it off the wall.

I hated the way people treated LGBT community, granted, we still aren’t the greatest community but we love one another dearly before I could finish my thought Sheila came in with the keys to the truck and gave a look of uncertainty.

“What is the matter?” Sheila asked.

“Natalie’s mother called as soon as I stepped in the door and demanded I stay away from Natalie in which would be impossible since Natalie will be back before I could tell her what is going on with her own mother.” I said pacing the kitchen.

“Calm down, it’ll be alright, if we have known Natalie for that week she will return, especially the way she kissed you, my goodness that was hot.” Sheila replied smiling.

“You always think something between two women is hot. You do need to head home to your girlfriend though I am sure she is excited for you to be home, finally.” I responded by biting my lip thinking of Natalie being excited to see me.

“She left me months ago, I have sold the house and actually live on the streets. I didn’t want to bother you by living in your parents house again.” Sheila replied looking like a puppy with sad eyes.

“Sheila, I would never deny you staying with me. It will be good to have a roommate. So, go get your things wherever they may be and come grab a room.” I responded by punching Sheila playfully on the shoulder.

“I don’t have anything left besides what I am wearing and what I brought with us.” Sheila replied fidgeting with the keys.

“Go get undressed and in the shower, I will get you clean clothes. We will go get you more in a few days. You should have told me that she did this to you.” I responded.

I watched as Sheila made her way upstairs and I followed getting her some clothes from my drawers then realizing Natalie left hers behind too. I went to rewash Natalie’s and then waited in between to do up both clothes. I checked in on Sheila to find that she fell asleep after a nice hot shower in her room, she felt eased having someone in her home again. I went back downstairs and headed outside to take a nice calm sit on my own porch watching my horses run around wild while enjoying the fresh hot Texas air. Being able to breath and relax without a worry felt like heaven though it never lasts long when someone randomly pulls up in your driveway with a shitty ass vehicle and this she assumed is Sheila’s ex Jolene, they both hated each other and this is to prove it by standing guard on her porch. It took everything inside of me not to walk over to that bitch and punch the shit out of her for hurting my best friend.

Journey Harper has always been full of life even when we dated back in High School until Sarah destroyed it to have me. It took me several years to get over the fact that Sarah had ruined my love life but she ended up being all I had left.“Hey Amber, it is so good to see you. Where is your new woman? Somehow or another the driving didn’t phase Amber making their way back as Natalie thought it would but once they arrived at their home it looked untouched but then you could see clothes on the lot and priceless items that shouldn’t be there. Natalie didn’t understand what Sarah could be doing by taking out everything that Amber has owned for years. Natalie watched as Amber stormed up to the house as Natalie followed behind her as quickly as she could.“Sarah! Get out of my house!” Amber yelled as loud as she could.

Natalie headed inside to the hotel, made her way to the front desk and made her room arrangements. It took thirty minutes to find her room then getting her bags as she settled for the night. Natalie couldn’t believe that she is left alone in her world with no kids, no man or woman, now lonely as tears flowed down her eyes. Natalie slowly drifted off to sleep on the bed that is only for her as she heard pounding on her door, it startled her completely since she wasn’t expecting anyone, and as she slowly went to look through the peephole she noticed it wasn’t a joke that Sarah Starr is still alive and pissed off.

Natalie didn’t know what to do with herself once she left Amber. It broke her heart that she still had to be caught between her dead ex wife and herself to meet Amber’s attention. Natalie pulled the car off to an empty lot and cried her eyes out, also slamming her hands against the steering wheel, she hated everything at this point and wished she could fix it all with Amber. Natalie decided to turn the car around and head back since she wasn’t far at all, punishing Amber for holding onto Sarah is a bad thing since their love is much more stronger than a ring. Sadly once she got into the driveway she saw a car that didn’t belong there and Natalie’s fears crept up into her throat. After delaying thoughts of going inside Natalie grabbed her purse then made her way in

We had finally reached our destination in the middle of the night, a desert like area but you can see the stars and much more of the horizon. I couldn’t believe how Natalie had found this place with driving to wherever they may be. I climbed out of the car the same time Natalie did as we met in front of the car then leaned against the hood.“This is my dream when being out here. I love where home is too that we can see the stars but this is amazing for the middle of nowhere for miles on end.” Natalie whispered.

That next morning, I woke up extremely early to make breakfast for both ladies and made sure to have juice, coffee, sweet tea, and water ready at the table along with toast, creamer, sugar, and grape jelly. I couldn’t contain my excitement on making Natalie and Sheila feel happy for once without being judgemental on my case. As soon as I saw Sheila though that certain look where she is disappointed made me feel the same. Sheila also had her luggage ready by the door.“Dana, will be here in a couple of hours and we are going to the new house. I don’t expect you to show up and put
