Doris

  After spending quite some hours in the sky I finally got back to Nigeria, I can't wait to meet my dad and tell him everything that happened back in the state, especially the part of me meeting Chris Walker the most popular person in the world of fashion, his brand had made it to the top two years ago and if you get to meet him and then get the opportunity of him being interested in you wanting you to become the model for his designs then bitches you are lucky and lucky is what I am. My dad will flip, not being able to wait for him to get home I decided to go meet him in school, I met Temi and Seyi who must have been waiting for me at the airport and went to school together, I told them a lot about my adventures and even how I met Chris Walker.

Temilade has always had a crush on Chris who is just 3 years older than I am and two years older than both of them, I happen to be the youngest among us, I'm just 18 years of age but in 6 months I will be 19. She screamed when I mentioned meeting him and even sharing a kiss with him, Seyi felt really happy for me while I saw something like jealousy in Temi's eyes but it disappeared quickly that I began thinking I probably imagined it.

We laughed as we walked down the school heading for my dad's office but some noise coming from his office brought us to a halt, we glued our ears to door to find out what was happening. I heard Tolu's voice explaining how his mom was killed by someone, he talked about how I don't know who my mother is and how my dad probably lied to me.

"I don't even expect you to be able to talk right now, remember the things you did in the past? You deserve to be jailed. I don't care if your life gets ruined you killed my mother and abandoned your daughter, I bet Doris doesn't know you bore her and I guess her dad told her some bullshit about her birth mother" I heard Tolu said and everything went silent, my birth mother is in there and not dead like my dad always told me? He had always said she died giving birth to me making me hate the whole world and universe for taking my mother from me, causing me to grow up with hate, I felt my tears roll down my eyes. My dad is a liar. I heard him continue speaking

"Leave your seat or tell the whole world what you and your mistress did out of gree....." He said but instead of continuing I heard something that sounded like a slap, someone slapped him.

All the happiness that was in me while I came had gone down the drain and right now all I feel is  the pain of betrayal, I feel hurt and hate. I hate my father for lying to me and now he has to leave his seat? The school? Is that what Tolu meant? Of course they probably conspired to kill his mom, two months ago I would have been hurt as well that he can't love me since my mom killed his mom but then something must have changed, I realised I felt absolutely nothing for him anymore but pure human love.

"How dare you, living with me for 20 years and you feel no love for me? I guess if I was dying you will just watch me die" I heard another voice shout, it must have been the person who slapped him but if he lived with her for 20 years? No way, my mom is Aunty Lola, Tolu's mother well apparently no his mother.  

"No, I won't watch you die cos guess what? I am not heartless" Tolu said by this time I was tired of just listening, I left my friends out there and went in, Tolu turned and our eyes met although his widened and mine was filled with tears.

Tolu's dad was there, my dad and like I guessed aunty Lola and Tolu, I guessed it all right!

"Shit" Tolu said, making everyone look in my direction, my dad eyes fell probably disappointed in himself. 

"The hell are you guys talking about? Who the fuck is my mom, dad? A dead person or a murderer? I hope you all rot in hell, that is where you belong!" I yelled and walked out, knowing my friends they definitely will be waiting at the school cafeteria so I went there, I wanted someone who will comfort me a shoulder to cry on, everyone kept staring at me as I passes by probably cos I've been away or cos my eyes were teary however the case I didn't care.

It worsened when I got to the cafeteria, all eyes were on me and I started hearing people talking in houses voices but I caught something.

"Her mom is a murderer" shit, how come the whole school know already? I looked over to my friends and they pretended not to see me, opening the school broadcast I saw something that totally broke me.

It was found out that Lola killed Tolu Adebayo's mother and no Doris is a Francis, a result of Lola's infidelity therefore a bastard it is no wonder she was able to seduce Chris Walker while she was in the state and gets to be his new model.

Like mother like daughter, I regret ever knowing someone like her seeing how she had been bullying students and making their life miserable she then is no different from her mom, for all I know she could murder as well.

In one day I realised something, my entire life has been fake. Not everyone smiling at me actually loved me they all were there for one benefit or the other, life is fake and everyone are betrayals they just don't come out at the same time. It hurts when the person that once comforted you and lent you their shoulder to lean on is the same person after your downfall. Temi happens to be T.blaque, my very own friend. I launched at her ti hit her but guess what? The person I least expected was the one who was there for me. I felt like shit right that moment. At first I wanted to trash her, for all I know she could be pretending but she was here having my back. I learnt something that moment, anyone can be there for you all you have to do is give them a chance, yeah many people out there love you.

While eating breakfast with my dad, you get that? My dad! My phone beeped, it was a school broadcast message so I decided to check, it is sometimes useful, I gasped on seeing the broadcast. How can friends do this to each other?

"Is everything okay?" My dad asked me, I loved that he was concerned, is this what it is like to have a dad?

"Yes, something came up and I really have to go, it is nice to actually get to meet you and I hope we redo this, probably with my mom" I said quickly and he nodded, I gave him a quick hug and dashed out. Uncle Sola drove me to school and I quickly made my way for the cafeteria, that is where those idiots spend their time but what I met was not so good, Doris was about to hit Temi.

"Don't do it Doris, they don't deserve you wasting your energy besides you doing that will only prove her right about what she said about you and you are not like that. Your parents mistakes doesn't define you, there is no one here whose parents has never made mistakes, look at Charles Nwachukwu his dad is an exconvict, used to be an armed robber but then after he was released from jail he made money in a clean way, married and had children that doesn't mean his kids will be thief, no, in facet Charles is in charge of Finances in his department, when his dad did that shit he has not been born in fact. Same with you, she did it before you were born and in fact she never raised you. So all of you are just hypocrites, assholes and bitches for saying shits about her and you Temi, just say you are fucking jealous she will be modelling for Chris Walker, you think you have everything? Hell no, you need a heart bitch!" I know I gave a long speech and for the last person I should but no one is worth this amount of disgrace. I was shocked when Doris gave me a tight hug while she sniffed.

"Thank you so much, I was so crazy for picking on you" Doris Francis thanked me and apologized at the same time, so un-fucking-believable.

"It's okay, no one deserves that" I told her, my phone beeped and I realised people took videos of my speech and her hugging me with different tags.

I noticed everyone focus their attention on me, I wished the ground open up and swallow me but something happened or do I say someone showed up and if not the real bitch walking out of the cafeteria.

"Bimpe" I yelled making her turn, I walked over to her and surprised her with a slap on her right cheek, everyone gasped while she held her face 

"What the fu...." I cut her off with another slap but on her left cheek, causing people to start whispering. 

"Shit Ali...." And then another slap on her right cheek, she was going to talk but I shut her up raising my hand.

"Before you speak bitch, one was for me, the other for Biola and the last one for my boyfriend" The whispering intensified as I mentioned boyfriend and I could here whistles and some people saying stuffs like.

I love you Alissia, go Lissia, yes babe, way to go and stuffs like that.

"Think twice, no, thrice before spreading shits about others. You can tell the world Tolu impregnated Biola but that doesn't make it true and for fuck sake the poor girl can't move in peace and has to be home schooled, don't you have a conscience? You can't break us bitch, know that!" I turned to leave but I was shocked, it was like a celebrity was in school, almost all of the students occupied the cafeteria that they had to push each other for space.

"And your boyfriend is?" A guy asked an obvious question which I planned on ignoring but I heard someone's voice, it was Tolu and guess what he said "I am" he then grabbed Doris and I not leaving us until we got to Francis's offices but guess what? No Francis.
