Chapter eight

Taria" Julia screamed, asking for help from the guards,  they carried and placed me down on the bed. 

I laid there oblivious when abruptly sir Warwick ordered the guards to hurl me off to the dungeon but was halted by Micha, who clearly instructed them not to lay a finger on me. 

"Stay away from this" sir Warwick let out, giving Micha a stern warning not to get involved.

Meanwhile, the guest at the ballroom became anxious, as it has been a while, thus the coronation was meant to commence.

The news reached sir Warwick, as he went to meet up with that guest, notifying them that the coronation will begin in an hour. But was halted by Micha, announcing to the guest, that the coronation would not be taking place, as something else came up, with will warrant them not crowning the prince. 

They were chaos amongst the guest, as all were shocked and confused either to believe sir Warwick or sir Micha. 

When Micha, clearly told them the second time to take their leave and celebrate the festivals with their families instead, ushering them out the door. 

Sir Warwick, fumed with angry asking Micha what he meant by what he said.

" Can't you see the handwriting on the wall" Micha replied back to him, trying to make him understand, what arose was meant to be. 

" No way" sir Warwick altered, shaking his head in disagreement as he went to assemble the cabinet members.

" I want an immediate removal of sir Micha out of the cabinet" he yelled fluttered with anger. 

"Why," they asked, as sir Warwick explain all that occurred concealing some information from them.

"It's clear you forgot to tell them some details" Micha altered, staring at him.

"What do you mean " sir Warwick answered back, stuttering with his words, thus Micah told them all that transpired.

Impossible" they altred with sir Warwick heeding to their surprised expression.

"We would like to see this person you speak off", they said reaching to a consensus. Thus Micha informed them I would come as soon as I  have regained consciousness, fleeing from there.

No, no, no, no, no " sir Warwick altered, angrily hitting his hand on the wall, with queen Eliza standing behind him.

"What do we do," she said, waiting for a reply but sir Warwick didn't listen to her.

"But, can't we kill her" the queen suggested, as sir Warwick retorted to her that it will be impossible killing me with the cabinet members and few people witnessing her gaining control over the crown, Killing me would spark lots of questions. Thus declining her suggestions.

Then prince Liam came in, giggling at the entrance of the door.

"Stop it" queen Eliza requested her son but still he couldn't control his laugher.

" Shut up" sir Warwick replied back with an angry voice, throwing a vase at his son.

But the queen begged him not too, hence begged her son to leave.

Furthermore, I still laid on the bed, with Julia by my side, when suddenly, I woke up puffing hard.

Where's Mom", I asked Julia, glaring at her.

Erm, erm, erm, she stuttered, figuring a way to tell me what happened.

I couldn't take any more of the stillness, I ran out of the room, shouting her name with Julia running behind me. 

Taira" she shouted my name but I didn't pay scrutiny to her when she yelled.

"She's gone" thus Making me stop In shock, as I whirled back facing her.

When you say gone"

Do you mean she went back home or she's dead"? I asked her hoping she would say what I needed to hear, but unfortunately, she mumbled something else. 

Hrrnnggh", I gasp for air, holding my hands on my mouth.

" He killed her" I mumbled, resting on a pillar, mumbling the same words. 

Ahhhh", I shouted, sloping on a pillar, with my hands on my ears. 

No, no, no, no, this isn't real" I muttered, pulling away from Julia. 

"Taria pull yourself together" she mumbled, hauling me back to her, as she hugs me tightly. 

"Am sorry" she muttered, running her hand on my hair, as I laid down on the floor with my head on her lap when a guard came forth notifying me, I was being summoned by the king's cabinet at the throne room.

" Welcome princess Taria" Micha altered, thus it made sir Warwick annoyed. 

" Why am I here," I said, as Micha clearly explained the reason why but I blatantly told them, I wasn't interested in taking over anymore. 

"Okay, that settles it " sir Warwick altered but was halted by the leader of the cabinet, who implored me to take a stroll with him, which reluctantly I did, heeding with the signal of Micha. 

"My name is sir Scott len" the head of the cabinet," he said, as we kept on walking at the castle hallway. 

"I am," I tired uttering  but was halted by him, who replied that he already knew who I was. 

"Oh okay", I mumbled facing the other way.

" You must be wondering why I  asked you to take a walk with me" he let out, spotting a smile on my face. 

"Yes, but giving the circumstances am in, I really don't care about taking over anymore", I replied back to him.

He shocked his head, heeding to my griefs, then he let out 

"Truthfully, I had no idea what happened, but we can't predict the future"

"Maybe, in order for you to be who are you meant to be, your mom needed to pay the price", sir Scott altered, attempting to make me realize that it was the plan of the gods. 

Abruptly, I declined his logical way of seeing this, as he kept supporting the gods.

" This can't be the plan of the gods" 

"And if the gods were to favor me, they wouldn't have permitted a power possessing sycophant drive a knife through her. I confessed with an angry voice. 

"I know how it feels losing someone you love, but you know in life, you can't change the inevitable" he altred staring at me.

"I know," I said, resting on the wall. 

"Listen to me," Scott mumbled, standing in front of me.

"It's is your destiny to take over, from your father, your people needs you, we need you" he announced to me. 

"I don't know" I replied, shaking my head, in tension.

" Ready or not this is your destiny," he said, as I gazed at him, recollecting the same thing begin told to me before. 

"Fine, I'll do it, for the people of Valtora and for my Mom", I replied giving him an assurance, I will take over the throne. 

Meanwhile, oblivious to everything, I was begin monitored.

"Well well well," Aldridge grinned, witnessing all that took place through a magic mirror, thus he asserted.

" Dear future queen of valtoria you not only signed your death sentence by disobeying my command but that of your people". 

"This is a blood bath, dear Taria, only the strongest of heart will come out victorious". Aldridge said, as he angrily smatched the mirror into pieces.
