Chapter Eleven

"Bhai when are you coming back??" Avni asked immediately once Ayaan answered her call.

"Avni, relax I’ll be back soon. You know this Ranbir, who asked me to come here, has disappeared himself. So it will take some time to wrap up the work. If things had gone as per our initial plan, I would have been back by now" Ayaan explained patiently.

"But Bhai that's not fair you promised that you’ll be back in a week." Avni nagged like a child

"I remember my promise darling, but I don’t have any other option now. We still have so much work pending. I can’t come leaving everything in middle like that right..?" said Ayaan trying to convince her

But Avni was Avni..

"You know what, I am super angry at you. As a punishment I’m not going to talk to you until you come back. Now you have to decide, what is more important. Me or your work! Bye" Giving him an ultimatum, she hung up without waiting for his reply.

"Hello..Hello..Avni listen to me just once. Hello you there? God, she hung up! This girl I tell you. She’ll drive me crazy one day" Ayaan murmured to himself. He knew talking to Avni at this time would be waste of his energy, as she’ll definitely not listen to him. Suddenly an idea stuck in his mind and pulling out his phone from his jeans pocket he called his most trusted man, Aryaman, his secretary.

"Its me Ayaan. Yes I am fine. The work is little delayed due to some stupid reasons. I hope everything is fine there in my absence… Good. I need you to do something for me. Before the sun rises I want Avni’s gift delivered to my house. Do anything you want, pull all the strings, I don’t care. I want it in my house first thing tomorrow morning. Pay twice the price if you have to, but I don’t want to hear anything else. Get it done and let me know” Ayaan spoke to Aryaman in his bossy manner and hung up.

"Lets see how long will you not talk to me” Ayaan smiled to himself and got back to the television watching his favourite team playing football.

"This Ranbir issue has to be fixed as soon as possible. I can’t upset Avni every time" thought Ayaan "but what about…" and again got lost in his chain of thoughts.

As soon as Ranbir dropped her home Myra immediately ran to her room. Thankfully her chachi was not home then. She placed the muffins box on her table and started running towards Vihaans room

"Bhai..!!!" she shouted as soon as she opened the door

"I am here cupcake. Tell me." Vihaan said working on his laptop and immediately he put it aside as he was surely expecting some reaction this kind. Being completely aware of her sisters craziness he knew what was going to happen next.

"Bhai!! thank you thank you sooo much" she said as she jumped on the bed and hugged him as tightly as she could. Vihaan fell back on bed due to the intensity of her hug.

"Mayu I can understand your excitement but let me breath." he said. She immediately left him and sat on the bed showing him her 32 teeth.

"So tell me. Why is my sweet cupcake so happy?” even after knowing the reason he purposely asked her, pinching her nose lovingly.

"Bhai pinch me once again. Am I dreaming or is it true?" she asked in an excited tone.  

"It is as true as my heartbeat my doll. Aren’t you happy?"

"Bhai, I’m feeling out of the world. I mean how do you do this. Like seriously. How did you find a person who is just the person in my imagination...?" she spoke in complete excitement.

"Why wouldn't I. After all it’s a matter about my sisters happiness. So I found him out. Now you tell me. Did you like him? How was he with you?" he asked curiously.

"He is a decent guy. But how can I decide if he is good or not in just one meeting. But he’s quite good for now. I don’t know why but I have a mixed feeling towards him" she said thinking

"Why are you feeling that way. Did he misbehave with you when we weren’t there? Did he do or say something that made you feel so” Vihaan asked worriedly as this wasn't the answer he was expecting from her.

"What! No. he didn’t say or do anything. He was really sweet. I mean I cant decide about a person in the very first meet right ? That was the reason I said like that. And you don’t have to worry about me, Myra Murthy has the talent to handle things her way" saying this she winked at him.

Vihaan sighed in relief, he was sure about Ranbir but wasn't completely sure if Myra would like him or not. His first priority was Myra’s happiness and nothing else.

"You know what Bhai, he asked me to come with him out tomorrow. Can I go with him tomorrow?” she asked him, because for her, her brothers opinion and choice was the first priority.

Though she liked Ranbir as a first impression, she didn’t want to jump into any conclusion.

“Of course, you can go. You need not ask me for that. And remember this, I trust you and your decisions." Vihaan replied casually though he knew as why she was asking him. He knew what he meant for her in her life.

"Thank you Bhai..." she chirped happily

"Now can I continue with my work ?" he asked pointing towards the laptop she nodded her head and got up to leave the room. Vihaan called her "Miss Murthy, wait!"

"What happened?" she asked totally confused

"Don’t finish off the muffins in one go. Share them with me and Vaibhav. If you eat them all alone, then you’ll become a beach ball and your Ranbir will not recognise you and run away for his life. Then don’t come to me complaining about him” he said and winked at her.

She ran towards his bed and started hitting him with pillow, he tried to escape which wasn't possible. He knew but still he tried

"I will become fat?? Beach ball seriously? Call me fat once again and see what I do to you" she spoke while hitting him with pillow.

"Just listen to me once. I was kidding for heavens sake. Stop hitting me you monkey” Vihaan said running around in his room with Myra chasing him.

"I will stop hitting you, but on one condition" she stopped running, both were panting heavily

"And what is that?" he asked after gathering some oxygen to breath "I want and ice-cream treat and I want it now."

"What now? No I have some work now. I will take you out tomorrow without fail" he requested 

"No, when I said I want to eat ice cream, I want it now. Are you coming or should I leave alone?” she knew he wouldn't let her go all alone and would definitely accompany her, and her guess was right.

He immediately straightened himself and spoke "Fine, we will go but after sometime. I have something very important to finish. I’ll complete it asap and then we’ll go, promise. I’ll take you before mom comes back. Now please, let me finish my work." he pleaded and she accepted.

How could she deny her brothers cute request, when she knew that if it wasn't that important he would have surely not denied her.

"Fine, I’ll wait. Finish it off soon " saying this she left his room and Vihaan resumed to his work.
