The Mafia Emperor

EVELEEN'S POV

      Turquoise water looked amazing as it merged with the deeper blue water showing the perfection of the beauty, blue lagoon, clear blue sky and powdery white beach was lying before my eyes. Every Sunset was different here showing blue, yellow, pink and orange colors. It's an exotic and beautiful place created by God. Lush green palm trees could be seen, standing tall. It could turn every fret face into a gleeful smile.

       I was in a green white Floral printed skirt and deep blue blouse. I was standing near the window and staring out with a cheerful smile that couldn't be ignored. Breeze was brushing my long hair away from my shoulders. I heard the creak on the wooden floor. He's behind me. He wanted me to know his presence. His scent filled my nostrils. I could feel him around me. His strong hand crawled on my belly. His touch always tingles my skin, compelling me to close my eyes. It was sending shivers down my body, flashing our ecstasy moments as it engraved behind my closed eyes. Although it has been almost a week to be here in this beautiful extraordinary paradise with him. I always wanted him around me, more of him, giving all mine to him. Per day is making our bond deeper than before. I turned a little. He did not say anything, just stood there, staring at me with his glory amber eyes. His lips twisted in a killer smile. He must be thinking the same. Without any warning, he tugged me more closer to claim my lips. 

       Every morning, I woke up with a huge smile on my face. When early morning Duante dug his fingers in his laptop for hours. His adorable smile welcomed me when I opened my misty morning eyes. He had given me his undivided attention, time and more than anything love in this entire week. These are the memories we were creating for our entire life which would always cheer us up. 

       My thoughts went back to my family. I'm genuinely a happy bride. My father's words still sting me. Duante told me that my mother was asking about me when he went to rescue my cousins. I was missing Rose, Mini, Thomas and home. But right now Duante is important. We didn't talk about why we were in Maldives. How many days we'd stay. I shook my head and pushed away the unpleasant gloomy feeling. It was not time to get sad over things. I wasn't sure when Duante would give our bond such an opportunity next. Most importantly, I'm glad being in his arms. After all, precious happiness matters the most in our life. I didn't miss home that badly. I was thinking, perhaps I had over reacted that day. I was sure about one thing, this paradise would be colorless and boring without Duante as well as my life too. 

       He rested his chin on my shoulder, tugging me back from my deep thoughts. His hard toned chest was touching the skin of my back. 

     ' He is dangerously handsome. I haven't seen anyone like him and haven't any desire to see someone else. I love my man from the core of my heart. My world revolves around him. I see my life with him. '

        " You like this place? " he whispered in my ear. His hot breath was brushing my neck. He knew my answer. 

       I crawled my hands on his muscled skin of arms, " I love this. Thank you. It's truly heaven on earth, especially with you. I never thought such a place can exist in this technical world. '' I said, darting my eyes out. My eyes were wondering to see such beauty.  

      " Technical world, han? " he huskily said, pulling me closer to him and wrapping his arms more securely. He ran his two fingers on my belly. His touch tingled me, making me jump and squeal. I hopped away from him. 

  I giggled hysterically and tried to catch my voice, " No! No! You can't tickle me. " I smiled gleefully, almost making it reverberate.   

   His face lit up with mischief and an adorable smile, " It's one of my rights, you know. " he smiled and came toward me, showing his moving fingers in the air. His eyes didn't bulge for a second from me. 

   " No, it's teasing." I dodged myself from him. I ran out of this enormous bungalow. I rushed toward a wooden bridge. I could hear my own giggles. I spun on my feet and he was walking behind me. His lips were spread in a huge smile. His shirtless body was slightly tanned. His mountains were gleaming under sunlight. I whirled and ran as I knew he could catch me easily. I crossed the wooden small bridge. My eyes rushed up. Sun was shining brightly in the clear sky. I tried to block the sun with my hand over my eyes. I kicked out my flip flop and ran. Sand was scrubbing beneath my feet. 

       " You can't run away from me. " He said out loud. I giggled and turned around. He was running behind me. I knew he could run faster than me. He was making it interesting for him or he was teasing me. He covered the distance in a blink. He caught me by my wrist and pulled me behind. I staggered and fell behind on my back on the white sand. I was shaking with my hysterical laughter. 

     " Please, no tickle." I told him through my laughs. 

      He covered my body with his. He hit my nose slightly with his nose and kissed on my forehead. He sat on the sand and tugged me up at him. I wrapped my arms around him. It was a private place. No one was visible around us. Turquoise water, white sand, dark green trees were surrounded us. He rested his hand on my back and second on sand. His bare tan chest was shining with sunlight making him hot like hell. He was looking like some goddess. Sun was kissing his muscular well built body. My eyes stopped on the mark. I touched it with my fingers. When I did this, I never thought him to be my everything one day. 

      " Ain't you planning to bite me again. " he smirked. 

     I laughed and shook my head little, " No! Thank you. " I smiled. 

      " For let you bite me. " He mocked and raised his eyebrows. A smile was tugged on his lips. 

     " Um, bringing me her and.... " I beamed, " Um, yes for being my husband. Nobody can love me like you do. " I smiled gleefully. Happy tears welled in my eyes, making their way down my cheeks as I never thought he'd rule my heart one day. 

    He brushed his thumb under my eyes.

   " Happy tears." I said.

   He shook his head, " You aren't allowed to do this. We can spend another week on honeymoon, if you like. " He wrapped me in his arms. 

     " I love you. " I whispered, embracing him. 

    " Te Amo. Te necesito, cariño. " He pecked on my cheek. 

    I gazed up, " What did you say? " I asked him with confusion, looking at his face. 

    " I love you. " He tightened his arms in his comfortable embrace. 

     ' He could be a cruel, ruthless, callous mafia for his enemies. He is the most loving and caring person for me. I love him more than anything else in this world. This place is heaven, only because of him. I was looking at him as a beast in the beginning, Whenever I saw him. Now, I see a different person. I placed a kiss on his neck. '

     He cursed under his breath. I laughed, understanding his need. He quickly left a kiss on my forehead and broke the hug. He naughtily smiled and extended his hand. I giggled and lifted my hand to put it in his hand. I halted my hand. When I saw Tann coming toward us with Duante's bodyguards. I opened my mouth to say it to him. But he was already on his feet, striding toward them. His jaw was tightened and his hands clenched his side. I could tell from his grim expressions. It was something serious.

       Loud noises crawled in my ears. It was the helicopter's sound. That chopper's whoop whoop was overwhelming. I put my hands on my ears. I turned my head toward the clear sky. It was a few feet above my head. I was wondering, where would it land as this place had no land, only water. Shore wasn't enough for it's landing. It was hovering in the sky, making my skirt, my hair, and sand flew away. The gust of wind beat at me, shoving my clothes against me. Water was sending waves around it. Sand's little particles were hitting my face. 

     " Ew I hate it. " I blurted out.    

       Duante held me by my waist. I rested my hand on his hand and smiled. 

     " You have to go home. " He almost shouted. 

     My heart gave a loud thud, "What's your meaning, You? Let's go in. What's a helicopter doing here? " I said loudly. 

     I tried to walk away. He didn't allow me. He turned me to face him. He held me tightly wrapping his one arm around me. He had done this before when he jumped with me from the railing. I looked down. Abruptly, land seemed to be going far from me. I couldn't feel it beneath my feet. I shockingly stared at him with wider eyes and then at my feet. I squealed aloud and clung to him. I kept a firm hold around his neck, enveloping my arms around him. I looked up in the sky. Duante was gripping the ladder and his feet were on it, which was attached to the helicopter. Assassin was in the helicopter and tightly holding the ladder. With the second hand Duante was clutching me steely and strongly to his chest. He was climbing the ladder at the same time. 

      " You are scaring me. I truly hate this. Put me Down! Put me on the earth. " I shouted and tears were covering my cheeks. He kissed me on my cheek to placate me. I was ogling at him with teary eyes. He locked his eyes with me.

    He is so brave and fearless, but I wasn't, I thought. 

       Two hands pulled me up in the helicopter. I looked up. It was Assassin. I was on the helicopter's floor. I glanced down and extended my hand for him. He smiled at me. I wiped my cheeks with the back of my second hand. I smiled back at him, extending my both hands to hold him and pull him up. But I was really fearing from inside. 

         " Take care of my wife." he shouted to the Assassin. 

    It perplexed me. He smiled at me and left his grip on the ladder. He was falling. My heart stopped in my chest. Fear of being without him started to creep in me and dug its claws in my mind. I opened my mouth to shout, but my vocal cords seemed to paralyze. It was a new kinda fear that held my body. My body was shivering badly. My heart beat fastest. I tasted salty water of my own tears in my mouth, which were silently falling down. He was falling, taking everything of mine with him. He fell in the water with a loud thud, spreading water away from his body. I felt my voice, " Duante....! " I shouted loudest as my vocal cord would burst. It was the worst kind of feeling. I hated to feel without him.

     " Duante! Duante! " I was shouting his name continuously. I got up on my feet to jump in the water to help him. I took my step to spring from the height. Unfamiliar hand was holding me tight to stop me.  

     " Boss is fine. Bose is fine ma'am. " someone said loudly. 

     " Let go of me. He needs me. Let me go let me go.... " I was sobbing and shouting. 

     " See it yourself. He's swimming in the water toward the shore. " he said, clutching my arms tightly. 

     I bent down to see him. He was right. He was swimming. He stopped and waved at me like I waved at him when he went on a business trip or office. Abruptly it was getting dark before my eyes. His sight was getting blur in the darkness. It was only my heartbeat which was drumming against my chest. I wasn't mentally strong enough to take this trauma. Darkness swallowed me and I collapsed.
