Chapter Eight

EVELEEN'S POV

    He didn't doubt and agreed. I wanted to jump in happiness. I rushed back in my room gleefully. I donned black jeans and white full sleeves top with blue flowers printed on it. I picked my phone and small purse. I rushed out of the house. I saw Mini from a distance. She was waiting for me in the car. Thomas was on the driver seat. 

     Shi*! I didn't want to involve him. If something wrong happened, it didn't matter to Duante. He would punish Thomas. He had already suffered a lot because of me. I don't want him to get hurt again. 

   I sauntered toward the car. In my way, My bodyguard joined me. It was really making me tense now. But I was relieved about one thing. They were going to watch over me, not Mini. She could easily meet Rose. 

    My bodyguard opened the door for me, " I don't know your name. " I said to him. 

    " Lee Zhang. " he said. 

    " Lee... Nice name. " I said to him and boarded in the car. Mini came from the front seat to the back and sat with me. 

     " Did You invite him? " I asked her, a bit rudely. 

     " Like you came alone. " She said, returning the rudeness. 

    " Huh? "

    " Jiju sent Tom with me. " After a pause, she replied. 

    " Duante... " I motioned at Lee, " But he did not mention it. "

    " Yeah, " She grimaced. 

    " I hope, they'll not pay any attention to you. " I whispered. 

    " First time and last time, I hope so. I agreed on it. " She murmured. 

    We reached the address. Rose picked a Mall for the meeting. My eyes were going on her phone again and again. Her phone vibrated. Slow smile crept on my lips. 

      She's on the third floor of the Mall near an ice cream shop. As I thought, they were not giving any attention to her. I was praying this plan would work. 

     We reached the third floor. I was running my eyes around.

     " I can't see her anywhere." I told her. 

     " She will come in black cloak. " She replied. 

     I know this. Indeed, I know a lot. It was Mini who didn't know anything. 

    " Are you joking? She's pregnant. She may fall in her veil." I said, giving her my angry glare. 

    " What are you two cooking? " Thomas asked, grabbing our attention. 

    " Nothing, we're discussing. What color we should pick. " I lied. 

    " Yeah, She wants to buy white. I want cream white. " She said. 

     I stared at her. Was she really serious? ' Doesn't matter, cream white or white, all are white for boys, they don't know the difference. '

     " All are white. What's the difference? " He shrugged his shoulders. I could see his leery eyes on us. 

     " Let's buy white and cream white. " I said to her. I took hold on her wrist and led her toward the near store. We could see an ice cream store from here. We were shuffling hangers of clothes. 

   " I saw her. I saw her. " She jumped in excitement like a kid. 

    " Shhh.. " I shushed her, " You're inviting them." I said slowly, pointing at Thomas and Lee. 

    " Oh, I'm sorry. " She whispered. 

    " You go and meet her. I'll tell them you are trying dresses. " I said to her. 

    " I hope this will work. Otherwise, we both are dead. " She whispered. 

   We were careful about our surroundings as we didn't want them to smell our plan. Duante would not forgive me this time. I would never forget who he was. 

      ' Doesn't matter how good he is to me. '

    " Good luck. " I said, showing my both thumbs up. 

    " Same for you. " She smiled and turned in that direction. 

    I took five random dresses. This time I was cautious, it to be of my taste. 

     " Thomas! What should I tell Mini to try from these dresses? " I asked him to keep him busy. 

     " Um, I like pink on her. " He said, plucking a pink dress from my hand. He started to walk toward the changing room. 

    My eyes widened," Where are you going? " I asked him, running behind him. 

     " I'll pass her the dress. " He said. 

     " She is changing. You can't go inside. " I said, stopping him. 

     " You girls are planning something. I could feel it from your expression. " He asked. 

     " I'm just asking. You can't go in. " I said with confidence. 

     " Okay! Not a big deal. " He said. 

      He strode away from the changing room. I was relieved. Abruptly, he turned back and reached at the knob of the door before I could stop him. He pushed it open. I knew he wasn't getting anything in it. 

     " It's empty. " He said loudly. 

     " She must be in the second room then. " I said with a smile. 

     " Where is she? " He asked strictly. 

      I was praying to God to help me. Suddenly, his phone started to ring in his pocket. 

     " Brother. " He whispered and answered it instantly. 

     It strained me more. I was biting my nails. 

     " What! She's in front of me. She's fine. Mini is missing. Eveleen knows where is she? Don't worry. We are coming back. " He said and looked at me. 

     He stared at me with cold expression, " Where is she? " He asked rudely and angrily. 

    " You can't talk to me like this. " I said, although he was angry but still was talking to me nicely. I just wanted some time, so Mini could get time to return back. 

    " You know how I talk to criminals. " He took a deep breath, " She's my girlfriend. " He said, bending himself down to glare in my eyes. 

    " She's my cousin." I snapped back, staring in his eyes. 

    " If something happened to her. You'll be responsible for it. I'll never forgive you for this. " He sadly said. 

    It actually hurt me. Tears were pinching me on the verge of my eyes. No one talked to me like this nor Duante in a threatening and hurting method. I turned away from him to put the hangers in its place. I stopped and blink. Tears fell down from my eyes. 

    " Surprise! " Someone shouted from the other side of the clothes queue. 

     I squealed aloud and clothes fell on the ground from my hands. A rude and big hand covered my mouth. He pulled me hard, tugging me toward his chest. I tried to shout. His grip was firm. My voice was muffling. 

      Thomas and Lee were pointing their guns above my head. 

    " Let her go. " Thomas said it loudly. 

     " ********** I've a gift for you. " My captor said. 

    My body shivered. It took me back in the past. I was trying hard to remove his hand from my mouth. It was getting more tight. 

      My eyes widened with fear. A bad guy was holding her arm and his gun was pointing at her. 

     " Mini. " Thomas said. 

  He was looking distraught with pain and anger. 

     " Let her go, man. " Captor said. 

     He let go of her hand. She sprinted in his arms. Thomas hugged her tightly.

    " Leave her. " Lee said, still holding his gun. 

    " Hello assassin, I'm shocked he didn't kill you. The bullet which will kill you. It will be from my gun. " He said to him in anger. " I'm not interested in your girlfriend. I've my diamond. " He said to Thomas, crawling his hand on my waist. I could feel his hot breath hitting on my ear. 

      " Keep your filthy hands off of her. " Thomas boiled with anger. Holding a gun at him and with a second hand, he was pulling Mini behind him to save her. 

     " You wanna shoot me. When I will get your bullet. My men will shoot this Queen of your brother. Put your gun down. Throw it on the floor." He said, nuzzling his gun on my cheek. 

      Tears were rolling down my eyes, " Don't cry, baby! Smile, It's just the beginning. " He said. 

      Thomas and Lee put their guns on the floor. They placed there's hand behind their head. 

     " I'm feeling bored. " He said to his men. 

    His five men stepped toward Thomas and Lee. 

    " Only one rule. If you will hit my men back. He will hit your girlfriend. " My captor said to Thomas and smirked. 

     They started to beat them brutally. I was struggling in his strong hold. Tears were streaming down incessantly. His men were bulky, more than six feet tall. They were beating them with there's kicks and fists. I was hitting him in his stomach with my both elbows. Mini's shouts were wrecking my heart. I closed my eyes. 

      " Stop! Stop..... " He chuckled, " You don't like this." He asked. 

   I shook my head, " You don't like it. We'll not see it baby. " He said and picked me up. I startled and shouted, it couldn't come out of my mouth. His hand was on my mouth the whole time. He started to walk toward the elevator. I was kicking my legs in the air. I was scratching his hands on me with my nails. It wasn't affecting him a bit.

    People were hiding themselves and peeping from their hidden places. I was still holding my purse. I opened it. I called on Duante's number. I was watching its display. He picked it up. I tried to speak. His hand on my mouth didn't allow me. 

      I could see time to running on the screen , ' 00:05'

      Tears were making it blur. I hoisted it up to my ear. 

      " Eve! Are you okay? Eveleen! Speak up life." He said to me. My heart was sinking. I could feel his frustration and pain in his words. I wasn't bothered about me. Thomas, once again he was suffering because of me. 

     Ricky grabbed the phone from my hand. 

     " Your king is not coming for you. He can't help you baby. You are mine now. I'm your real king. " He said and threw the phone on the road. I saw it shattered in pieces on the ground. It was frightening me. His words were scaring me. Powerfully, I hit him with my elbow. I heard a pain from him. 

     " This is not gonna hurt me." He smirked. He was taking me toward his car. He got in the car with me, still holding me. I was in his lap. His man sped away his car. I hit my hands on the glass for help. No one came to help me. 

     " Welcome to hell. " Familiar female voice came from behind. 

     I swiveled my head to see, " Rose. " I said in my mind. 

     Duante's POV

     I made a call to the cloak girl. She didn't pick the call. A message cropped up on my phone's display. I snapped on it. 

    Ricky is coming to the same mall. Where your wife is visiting. - Cloak girl. 

    I rushed out of the library. I instantly issued the orders to my people. I moved into my car. 

    " Drive fast, Rocky, " I said to him. 

     He hit the gas. I called Thomas. He picked it up quickly. 

    I told him Ricky is there. I asked him to Get out of there. I asked them to come back immediately. I tried her ( Cloak girl's ) number to get more info. She wasn't picking it up. Car stopped at the front door of the mall. I scampered inside. I hit on Tom's number. He wasn't picking it. My heart was hammering in my chest. I gripped my gun in my hand. I reached the third floor. 

     Five bulky men were beating them up. One was clenching Mini s hand. I took out my gun. I charged my gun at them. Few seconds and six gunshots. They were on the ground. Rocky helped Tom to stand on his feet. I could see her around. 

     " Eveleen..... " I shouted. 

     " Ricky forcefully took her with him. " Mini said, her face was washed with tears. 

    I descended the moving stairs and hurried toward the entrance. I found her clutch on my way. After a few steps, her phone was broken lying on the road. 

    I couldn't see her anywhere. It was quite frustrating, " They have taken her away. " Rocky replied, hanging his head. 

     " No! Eveleen....... " I shouted. 

       I raked my hair. I wrapped my four fingers around my curved thumb and smacked my fist in the window of a nearby standing car. It broke into many pieces, and began to beep loudly. 

      I took his nape in my hand, " Two hours! Within two hours, I want my wife in front of me. Gather all. I'll annihilate that m***********... " I boiled in anger. 

   He nodded in fear. I glanced at the road. 

    There was no fu****g place where that bastard could hide himself from me.
