Chapter Five

DUANTE'S POV

     Arsh told me the plane was ready. Uncle had been boarded in the plane. I've sent him in another plane with a team of doctors. I was surrounded by my bodyguards. They were walking with me. I was on my way back to the plane. I heard loud steps coming toward us. I gazed at my right. Men were coming at us, holding guns in their hands. All were in black suits. They pointed there's guns at me, including my men who were around me. 

   Her last third message flashed in my mind, - Tann is the mastermind. He's the father of Ricky. You and your family are in danger. 

     Tann emerged himself from behind his troop. " You must be thinking, what's happening?" Tann asked with a vicious smile on his face. His gun was pointed at me. 

    " Why do you think? I asked your old coat pants to give it to me as my coming birthday gift. Which you wore on the wedding anniversary of my parents. " I smiled wickedly. 

    " Because, that reminds you of your parents' killer. " He said wickedly. 

    I removed my hand from my pocket and threw his unique old coat's button at him. Which he catches instantly. 

       " I got it near the dead bodies of my parents. He is the killer of my parents who owned it. " I glared at him deadly. 

       " You knew! " He winced and covered it instantly, " Yes! I killed your parents. " He grimaced first and then smiled. 

       " Your fake love and care can't save you ." I retorted. 

      " All guns are pointed at you. You are still showing your attitude." He picked up his gun to shoot me. My men, Who were pretending to be his side. They killed more than forty men, within a few seconds. Entire place reverberated with gunshots. Now all guns were pointed at him. He was enclosed by dead bodies of his men. 

      " It was a nice plan to attack my uncle and separate my wife from me. " I said calmly. I wanted to finish it. But I wanted to hear his last words. 

      He was glaring behind at my men, " You fuc****. " He enraged . 

       " Why do you think they are called the best men of my team? " I raised my eyebrows. 

      " You don't know anything, " He replied with the same tone. 

      " Know what? Ricky is your son. You poisoned my coffee today. You sent Assassin to kidnap my wife, so I could appoint him as her bodyguard, so you could easily reach her. Tell me something new, which I don't know. " I snapped. 

       I was walking to and fro but my eyes and ears were fixed on him. He reached for his gun. I grabbed my gun before he could charge it at me. I shot him in his bicep, pain and anguish covered his face. My parents' lifeless bodies flashed before my eyes. I emptied the whole gun in his forehead. He fell on the ground almost instantly with a thud. blood was oozing out of his forehead and making a pool around him. 

     I squatted down on the ground. Glaring at his dead body. Why did he do all this, just to grab the power?! He kept his marriage secret, his son. It was his plan to kill my parents, my best friend, and attack my uncle. It was he who set the assassin to kidnap my wife. He was the mastermind of all this shi* I felt like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. I was always thinking they died in a car accident. 

    " Plane is waiting, Sir. " Arsh said, breaking the silence. 

    " Send his dead body to his son. " I ordered Arsh. 

    " Yes, sir. " he bowed his head. 

   I stood up and walked toward the car.

   ( A week ago - New York) 

     My phone rang, flashing her name on the screen. I ignored it as my family's safety was on the peak right now. 

     " They are planning to break your family first and then kill you all one by one. You know the master mind. " Lady in black cloak said. 

     " Who's the first target, if you know the plan? " I asked. I didn't trust her. My phone pinged again, popping up a message from my wife again. I swiped to open. 

        ' Are you busy? - wife. '

      I nodded at her to speak. I put the phone on silent and placed it back on the table. 

     " Your brother, Thomas. They couldn't kidnap your wife. They're planning to kidnap your uncle and then kill. " She said. 

     Her phone vibrated in her lap making her jump and shiver at the same time. 

    " It's my husband. I have to go. " She winced and spoke out the words hurriedly. 

     " You haven't any need to panic. You'll be safe in his hell. It's my promise to you. If the information is right." I assured her. 

    She nodded and hurried out of the room.

       " Make sure, she got home securely. " I said to Aakash. 

       " No, I'll manage it. Thanks. " She said and quickened her pace out.

       I've to make the whole preparation. I comprehended everything and planned it according to the information she had provided me. I received a call from Zhang about my wife. I instantly traveled back home. 

      I was out of town for two days. My wife tried to sneak out again. This time, she hurt herself. I got her phone broken lying on the ground. 

     There were two stitches on the left side of her forehead. It was past midnight, she was still lying unconscious. I held her hand and kissed on its back. 

     " What happened? " I asked Zhang. 

     " She was upset after an argument with her friend. " He replied. 

     I beckoned him to go. Tann came into my room with his laptop. I played the CCTV footage. She just wanted to know about me from him and he was busy with her girlfriend. 

       I planned according to the cloak girl's information. Eve's bad condition wasn't part of my plan. I didn't expect this. 

      Once she told me, she wanted to fly like a free bird. She loves the sea. I told Tann to make the arrangements as we're leaving now. I wanted to surprise her when she would open her eyes. I didn't want her to make any attempt to go away from me. I wanted to end this distance between our relationship. I asked Zhang to join us after six days and he could go on vacation in these free days. I wanted to see my wife happy. 

    Uncle showed himself with Tom and Mini. I didn't say a word to them. Right now, my wife was my priority, " Is she fine? " Uncle asked. 

       I nodded...... 

        " Heli is ready. " Tann said. 

        " Are you going somewhere, brother? " Tom asked. 

       I nodded at him and walked near the mattress. She was still unconscious and sedated. I scooped her in my arms. 

       " Where are you taking her? I'm sorry brother. " He panicked. 

      " We're family, son. " Uncle said, taking steps toward.

      I glanced at all, " I used to think so. Her own friend couldn't give her time and politeness of her tongue." I snapped.

       She hung her head in embarrassment and opened her mouth. I cut her with my glare. 

       " We're sorry, brother. " Tom said.

      " Let him go. Give him some space. '' Uncle told him.

      " You take care of your family. I'll take care of mine. " I snapped and walked out of the room. Through the elevator, we reached the roof. Gently I put her head in my lap. 

    I gazed down at her, ' I'm gonna give you more than a hundred reasons to stay with me, ' I sighed and promised her.
