Chapter Eight

        She opened her eyes. Her eyes riveted the ceiling of the roof. She felt weight on her stomach. His hand was on her stomach. Her hand landed on a strong hand. She snapped her head toward her stomach and then her left side. She skipped her heart beat and forgot to breathe. She inhaled largely from her opened mouth. He was calmingly sleeping beside her. She didn't see him so calm. She neutralized her breaths. Last night hovered in her brain. Tears slipped from her eyes. She quickly wiped it away as she remembered he hated tears in her eyes. She did not want him to reprimand her in the morning. How did she come here? Did he again...... no!? She shook her head. She looked at her down. She was in the same clothes from last night. She was relieved. She held his hand in her soft hand and removed it, placing it on the bed. She slid from the bed. Her slippers were missing. Where would be Isha and Ana? She thought about her friends. Her bare feet touched the white marble floor. She got the door and looked back at him before closing it behind her. 

    He is looking beyond handsome, she thought and smiled. 

   She was wandering in his house and thinking where she should go as she had no place to live now. Her glance fell on the ring on her finger. She always wanted pink sapphire. 

    " Good morning, Rose. " An unknown voice came from her left side. 

    She looked at him in puzzlement. She pointed her first finger at her to ask him. Was he talking to her? He smiled and nodded. He was tall, the same as Liam. He had grey eyes and was muscular. He was handsome. 

    Who is he? Is he his family member? She thought. 

   " Good m morning. " She said. 

   " Hi, I'm Danil. Liam's brother." He said, glaring at her ring. 

   "Danil? Liam?" she said in a questioning look with nervousness. 

    Who's Liam? How does he know my name? she thought. 

   " Rose... " Familiar voices called her name. 

   " Ana, Isha.... " She said loudly and hugged them. 

   " How did I reach here? Are you both alright?" She sighed. 

    " We're fine Rose. His bodyguard told him the whole story. The result is in front of you. " Ana smiled. 

   " Your handsome fiance brought us here. " Isha smiled. 

   " Good morning Danil" Ana blushed. 

   Does she like him? She thought. She gave her piercing look. 

   " Morning, Ana. Does your sister stutter while talking to new people? " Danil asked Ana, pinning Rose with his grey eyes. 

   " She runs from boys." Isha mocked. 

   " And bumped in my brother. " A new male voice said, " Hello, I'm Kairo. " He waved his hand. He was another handsome man in this mansion. Two inches shorter, grey eyes, black hair and less muscular. 

   They greeted each other all morning. She was silenced. She heard heavy footsteps. Her heart beat started to race with the approach of it near to her. 

    " Good morning brother. " Kairo smiled. 

   He returned his smile with a nod. 

  " We need to discuss some businesses, brother, " Danil asked. 

     When she heard, brother from Danil's mouth. She smiled. She knew his name now. 

  " Sure, After breakfast. " He said

   He paced toward her making her heart hammered, " Good morning. " He whispered. 

  " Good morning. " She said it with great difficulty as she was scared of him. She didn't want to stutter. She raised her eyes at him. He was in a thin white shirt. It was showing his muscular body. 

   "Let's eat." Ana said, dragging her. 

   " You're not supposed to drag her." he said, gritting his teeth. 

   " I'm I'm sorry. " Ana said. She could feel fear in her bestie's voice.

    " She ain't a porcelain doll." Danil smirked. 

    He shot him his dead look. Although it wasn't for her. It sent shivers down her spine. She held Ana's hand and walked away from him. 

   " Why are we here? " She whispered to Ana. 

   " What are you supposing? We were homeless. " Ana squinted. 

   " We weren't. " She pursed her lips. 

    "You're kidding. The way he looks at you. Believe me. Rose, he's serious about you like hell. I'm damn sure. He is your Mr. Right. " She giggled. 

    With a lot of horror, she thought. 

     " I don't know. We've to make a plan to escape from here. I want both of you to go home back." She whispered. 

    " What's your mean you both? " she stiffened. 

   " You and Isha, he is dangerous. If he couldn't get me in your house. He would leave you alone. " She whispered again. She was watching around as she didn't want anyone to eavesdrop them. 

    " He's the hottest boy I've ever seen. I don't believe you. " She snorted. 

    " Listen..... " She started but was interrupted by the authority of his voice. 

    " Breakfast. You girls can enjoy your shopping after breakfast. " Kairo smiled. 

    " That's really great. " Ana clapped her hands. 

  He was standing near to her. She feared. Did she listen to them? He was giving her a mistrustful look. He pinned her with his stare. He put his hand around her flat small tummy crawling her back and tugged her toward the dining room. 

    " Am I missing something? " he slowly whispered in her ear, making her tremble. 

       She could only nod her head slightly in no. 

   She sat with her friends for breakfast.

They were ready to go shopping. They were in Kairo's room. She wanted out of his house. Her friends are not getting her point. She had seen his men with guns. He must be some powerful and dangerous person. Why would a businessman be surrounded with so much security with guns? 

     " We can't stay here. We have to go. " She said, pacing nervously. 

    " I don't believe you Rose. He came for you, at midnight. " Isha said

    " I don't know. We have only this opportunity. I know this sounds weird. if we couldn't make it. I'll be trapped for the entire time." She said. 

    " It sounds horrible. We don't agree with you. He has everything that a girl needs in her husband. In fact it's more than that. " Ana blurted. 

   " She's right. Don't you wanna go to New York." Isha mopped. 

    Ana gave her confused look, " New York? "

    " His family lives in New York. " Isha shrugged. 

   " No! I don't want to. " She got irritated. 

 Kairo came and knocked on his own room's door, " Are you ready, girls? " Kairo smirked. 

   " Sure, Kairo. " Isha said, getting excited like a teenage girl.

    " Please, guys. If I lost it.... um please try to understand. " She almost pleaded. 

   " I strongly believe he's best for you. " Ana said, resting the bags in the car. 

   " Would that! I could make him fall for me. " Isha sadly pouted. 

   " I thought, you like Kairo. " Ana winked sarcastically. 

    " Anything else? You want, girls? " Kairo asked, putting his arm on the roof of the car like a model.

     " No, almost done. " Ana said. 

    " Ok, I need to make a call. " Kairo excused himself for a while. 

    " These brothers must be manufactured in the best creating model company. " Isha whispered. 

  " Agree, I must say these brothers are beyond handsome. " Ana chuckled. 

   " Seriously! Can you please think about what I told you recently. " She snapped partly in irritation. 

   "Yes, sure! Rose. I'll sit in the front seat with him. " Isha winked and smirked.

   " Whatever! " Ana frowned. 

   Meanwhile, Kairo came back. They got in the car. Engine came to life. She winced and screamed as she heard the loud noise. She knew the horrible sounds as she had heard it before. Her forehead covered with tiny drops of sweat. Her heart beat got double in rate. 

   " Fuck! " Kairo cursed and rushed the car. He took out his gun from the holster.

   " What the fuck is this? " Isha shouted while scared, witnessing him holding a gun. 

   " What's happening? What's this noise? " Ana screamed with fear. 

    " It's a gun and we've been attacked. " He said calmly as it was normal.

   " He's kidding. " Ana whispered. 

    Isha gave him a shocked face look, " Can you drive? " he asked Isha. She didn't reply. He jolted her shaking her arm. 

    " Yeah! Sure. " She said awfully. 

   They altered their seats without getting out of the car. Kairo took out his phone and hoisted to his ear. 

    " Brother! We're in trouble." There was alarm in his voice, " No! No! She's safe. " he looked back at her, " Alright." he disconnected the call. 

    " Can you drive fast?" he asked her. 

    " Are you asking me about rash driving? " Fear clouded her face. 

   " Hell! Yeah. " He furrowed. 

    Loud noises of gunshots was echoing in the atmosphere and was hitting their car's back again and again. 

    " What is their problem?" Ana screamed. 

    Kairo lowered the window glass and shot back at the car. Ana and she looked behind at the car. Bullet hit its tyre and it burst, losing its balance it hit the pavement. 

    " I think you were saying right. We should escape." Isha whispered, turning her neck back. 

    " Thanks, but it's too late now. " Ana pretended to smile. 

    " It's never too late." She said. 

   Abruptly, This car was blocked by the black SUV cars, left, right side and then back. Her body went numb as It was a dreadful situation. She didn't know. They would die or live. Her heart plunged to her feet and the entire body stiffened. 

   " Rose, Ana, I love you. You both are best sisters and friends. " Isha shouted with fear. 

   " We are going to die. " Ana cried. 

   " Not so soon girls. " Kairo smirked. 

   She was surprised. How could he be so calm and relax in such a terrible situation? 

    Door creaked open of the front SUV. She could see black Armani suit. She was relieved when she glowered at his face " We're safe for now." She whispered. 

   " Brother!" Kairo exclaimed. He jumped out of the car and hugged his brother. He patted his back. His eyes seemed lost as he was finding something special. He could not see through the window as it was black mirror. He neglected to step forward. He jerkly opened the door of her side. 

    He held her by my arm and pulled her out of the car. He threaded his arm around her waist securely. His second hand was caressing her neck. 

    " Are you alright? " he asked. 

   His sudden action put her in a frozen mood. She couldn't understand at first. He pulled her back and cupped her cheek. His one hand was still around her, " Are you hurt? " he asked. 

   She swallowed the unspoken word from her throat. When she felt the pressure of his emerald eyes on her. She nodded. He crawled his long bulky hand on her lower back and made her walk toward his car. He opened the door and slightly pushed her inside. 

    " M my friends? " She asked terribly. 

   " Kairo will take care of them. " He said. 

    He sat next to me. Driver started the car. Her heart was shouting at her to trust him that She'd be safe now. Her brain was shouting at her to run away as far as she could. They were going back to his place. He cupped her face again and examined her. 

   She looked at his worried face, " I I'm fine, " she replied without asking. 

    " Are you sure? " His emerald eyes glared in her deo eyes. 

    She nodded. She wanted to trust him. Situation was making it impossible. She was trying to understand what happened right now. Asking him anything might be useless. She didn't face it if he got hyper. She pretended to be calm. On the contrary, a storm was running inside her. Many questions were hovering in her mind. She shook her head and ignored the questions which were shaping into a tornado.
