Chapter 1 - She is an Angel

"Dave, hurry up! How long do you plan to sleep? Did you forget that this is your first day of school?"

The bright sun with that loud sound finally woke Dave up. Dave could tell that it was his mother's voice. Last night, Dave played a game until dawn so it was natural that he was late. Dave took his phone then saw that it was 7 a.m.

"Shit! I'm so done!" Without waiting any further, he went to the bathroom and then came out fifteen minutes later to wear his uniform.

"Davian Helsinki! are you still not waking up?!" Dave's mother, Elia Gouvré, was mad with his son. She really can't understand his son's way of thinking. How can he be late on the first day of high school?

"Coming!" Said Dave while rushed downstairs from his room. Looking at his rage mother's face, Dave just grinned while kissed her on the cheek. Looking at that sight, Dave's father's expression darkened then said, "How dare you!"

Dave just rolled his eyes when he saw his father. Sometimes, he really can't tell if his father a child or an adult. He was always so jealous of no reason, even with his only son.

His mother then gave him a packed meal and said, "Just go! Don't you dare to be late."

Dave's heart was warm with this kind of care from his mom and then, he took it before he kissed his mom again and said, "Alright, thanks, mom! I love you!"

Dave's father just gave him a cold glare when he looks at his son's back further away. Elia then looked into Dave's Father, "Nick, really? Are you jealous of your own son? Can't you stoop that low?"

Nick saw her annoyed face before chuckled. He put down the newspaper he read then gave his wife an embrace. He stooped that low just for his wife and said with his low voice, "Don't you like it?"

"Of course not! He is my son. No, OUR son. He is the fruit of our love. What I feel towards you and him is not the same!"

"Is it, honey? Then you should prove your love right now." Said Nick while whispered to his wife's ear. He really couldn't get enough with his wife even though they had already been together for two decades.

"Prove, my ass! I am so angry right now and you should just go to work already!" Said his wife angrily while pushed his body and went to their bedroom.

Receive this kind of act from his wife saddened him. Furthermore, her way to send his husband off to work felt so different from her way to send off his son to school. Now, he had more reasons to be jealous of his son.

At the same time, Dave rode his motorcycle to his school at a high speed. Fortunately, he was still able to get in time to school. He sighed, feeling so relieved. J High School was an elite international school that had really strict rules. Despite having so many elite students with a fearful background, J High School was not just an elite school like in general which always had to bow down to the students with a strong background.

The Head of the J High School also one of a kind person that was feared by the students and their parents. They did not dare to offend the head just because his background was so unbearable. So, all the students in this high school could act all the way they want except anger the head of JHS. Besides its luxurious, JHS also became one out of three best high schools. So, the students who studied here would have a bright future.

Of course, entering this high school was really difficult. The difficulty that the students faced was no joke. But like some proverbs that said bother first, have fun later. This proverb described JHS the best. Even though this school was so hard to enter, but after you succeed, then you will receive so many benefits.

That is why, Dave's mother was so mad at him being late on the first day of the school. Dave parked his bike on the parking site before went to his class. From the documents in his hands, Dave should belong in 1-A Class. While looking at the documents in his hands, someone bumped with Dave very hard. His sturdy body of course had no impact with this kind of bump but the one who bumped into him fall very hard to the ground.

Then at that time, Dave's world had stopped immediately. He saw her white and frail body in front of him. She was an angel. He was bet with himself that this angel had just come down to the earth. But, the two seconds that actually become forever to Davian passed quickly.

The girl with her black long shoulder-length hair and her green eyes looked terribly hurt in all over her body and whined with her distorted voice, "Ouch..."

That voice snapped Dave back to the world and suddenly, worry started to appear in his eyes. He squatted down while give her a hand and said, "Are you alright?"

The girl answered with an annoyed voice, "Of course not! My butt hurts so much!"

Even though that voice was full of annoyance,  but in Dave's ears, that voice was full of cuteness. His handsome face turned bright but still filled with worry. So, he asked, "Should we go to the school clinic?"

She heard this boy's worry voice then suddenly, without knowing why, her heart filled with warmth. She knew that in this case, she was the one who should be blamed for running in the corridor. But this guy was not angry with her even he was the one who worried about her. Then, for the first time, she looked in front of him where this guy held out his hands with eyes full of worry.

She was caught off guard. Without waiting any longer, she ran away from him as fast as she could. Dave was dumbfounded with that girl's attitude. Let alone took his hand, she instead ran away. Did he actually look that scary? Wait. He did not get her name. What a shame!
