Chapter 2

It was the day of the Red Moon Festival of the Vampires. Every vampire in the Halavard Kingdom was excited and cheerful for this day has come.

Red Moon Festival is set on the day that the moon turns into a bloody red color. The Red Moon, however, only appears after 400 years and so on that day, an activity appears which vampires call as the Throne Hunting. This is the time where the vampire prince's battle each other in different aspects to know who is the best fit to be the King of Vampires.

The Vampires started decorating their houses and the streets. Black and red banners can be seen hanging from windows of every house.

Meanwhile at the Palace, a prince named Charles was sneaking away from the people of the Palace. He teleported himself in the Hidden Chamber beneath the Palace Dungeons.

The Hidden Chamber was hard to find. Not every royal knows about this chamber, only a few royals in the whole royal family tree knows about this place.

Charles found out about this place because he ran away from his mother's harsh treatment. His mother was the third concubine and the King's favorite concubine for 5 years. 

His mother was a prideful and proud  woman. She always boasted about how the King loves her and about the things he gives but once she lost his favor, her life crumbled and she would scheme other concubines.

She placed all her belief in him. Believing that Charles should be able to make the King proud and gain his affection. She believed that Charles would be able to bring the King back to her. So she increased his lessons and overworked Charles.

However, despite being able to become the King's favorite son, the King did not come back to her at all. In the end, she became crazier and finally committed suicide.

Charles held no remorse for her despite her being his birth mother. Instead he felt pity for her.

He sighed and shook his head from remembering terrible memories. He opened the door to the Hidden Chamber. Inside was a garden and in the middle was a fountain.

It looked as though no one is in there but Charles could hear the sound of a sword swishing around and cutting through the air creating swishing sounds.

He looked over the shrub to see a young boy whose hair is dark yet there are some red highlights. His golden eyes shining yet hollow.

"Uncle Charles, what are you doing here?" the boy said as his eyes turned to him. Charles sheepishly smiled at him and rubbed his head nervously.

"Getting a fresh air?" Charles tried to reason out. The boy sighed. 

"You do know that it is Wednesday, right?" the boy said which ultimately made Charles freeze. 

"W-Wait, don't t-tell me he's here?" Charles stuttered. 

"Yes, he's here. Cooking in the treehouse" the boy said with a bored look. He's used to his Uncle Charles not remembering the dates when he comes here. 

The man they were talking about was Julius. Julius would come to visit the boy 4 times a week. Those days are Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. 

"Your highness, if I remember correctly, today is the Red Moon Festival, isn't it?" a voice from behind Charles said as Charles jumped in fright. 

Don't get him wrong he's a 4 inches taller than Julius but the other will beat him up if he didn't attend royal banquets, meetings and festivals. 

Charles turned around and saw his blonde haired lover carrying a plate of freshly cooked food. 

"Now what is the major candidate for the Throne Hunting Activity doing in the Hidden Chamber wondering around instead of preparing?" Julius said with a dark look and a pissed off smile on his face. 

After Livius was born and Zeus' decree was sent out, Livius has been living in the chamber for 8 years. The only people who knew his existence were Julius, Charles, Julius' butler, Arnold and the maids of the Duke's house who helped Athena birth her son. 

Charles then pursued Julius with the intention that he will make him forget about Lividio. Julius was tough for a few months but by December that year, he finally gave up and became Charles' lover. 

Their relationship was a hard path because Charles was a major candidate for the throne. He was his Father's favorite son and he was outstanding at every royal aspect. He was the perfect candidate. The only problem is that Charles didn't want to be the King because if that happens, Julius won't be his queen anymore and considering that fact that Julius was the only Duke of Halavard, the path they have to take is a rocky one.

Livius then walked to Julius side and said, "Dad, I'm hungry". Julius gave Livius, his food and turned to Charles waiting for an answer. 

Charles sighed and rubbed the back of his head, "You know that I have no intention on becoming the King" he answered. 

"But Charles, the vampires will need you to rule over them. They need you to set things straight that your father bent. The Kingdom needs you to make it better" Julius reasoned out softening his tone. He knew the reason as to why Charles didn't want to become the King. 

Its not just because of him but because Charles was always anxious in things he does. He neglects his health and everyone around him once he's set on what to do. He's a stubborn guy that will do anything to achieve his goal and Julius knows that Charles already knows what to do with the Kingdom, he just doesn't want to risk losing him and being ran over by anxiety. 

"If I promise you that I would give up my title and become fully yours if you become the King, would you take this promise?" Julius said his eyes meeting Charles' shocked eyes. 

"Y-You would really do that?" Charles asked. Still processing the idea

"Yes, I can have my older cousin be the Duke, don't worry" Julius said.

Charles was speechless for a moment then captured Julius into a hug, very happily.

"Okay, I'll do it, you better keep that promise!" Charles cheerfully said as he vanished into thin air.

Julius chuckled at his lover's childishness.

He took a glance at Livius and contemplated if he should tell him about his parents or not. He has already told him about the Prophecy and why he has to stay hidden. Livius was a smart kid and understood that.

The kid is growing day by day with an intense speed and his power has become more tamed than before.

In this world, everyone is blessed with one ability. Though not unique, it is a gift from the Supreme God. Though, there are some beings who were blessed with 2 abilities, other beings call them Hybrids because they are rare beings born from two different races. Its a miracle if a child is born from 2 different races so they are special.

Livius who was born from a Devil and a Goddess was blesses with 2 abilities: Control and Blood Manipulation. Julius was horrified when he first saw Livius using his power. Control and Blood Manipulation abilities are not common. Livius' control magic can be used on every being. It is activated once he makes an eye contact with them.

Blood Manipulation has only been rumored to be possessed by 2 beings and their both hybrids. Blood manipulate allows the user to manipulate his own blood. The blood can be used as a weapon, a bomb or a shield. It just needs to be controlled correctly which is really hard. Livius had a hard time calming down his power when it awakened. 

Julius felt pity for the child as his power was created for chaos. He's been gathering information if there was a way to undo the prophecy but all he could get was that he will need Livius' fated mate but he had no idea where such a person could be. He doesn't even know what kind of being they were. 

Julius took a seat beside Livius and asked, "Hey, Liv. When you become 17, what are you planning to do?"

This question led to Livius to stop eating and turn his head towards Julius. He's had an idea what he should do.

When Julius told him about the prophecy involving him, the first thing that he wanted to do was to find a way to undo the prophecy. But when Julius already did that and told him the results, he wanted to grow stronger and get out of here to find his fated mate.

"I'll probably just go and find my mate since he's the only way to stop this madness caused by the prophecy" Livius answered fiddling with his spoon.

He didn't want to lwave his dad and his Uncle Charles but he also doesn't want to take the risk of them being found out by Zeus. Gods, the thought made him feel empty. His mother was a Goddess and his father was a devil. Although he doesn't know their names, he doesn't really care. It doesn't matter. He has his dad and uncle Charles as his parents and that's enough.

But why was he chosen as the Chaos God though? Isn't Ares the God of Chaos already? In the first place, what does it mean to be a Chaos God anyway?

Questions ran all around his brain trying to find an answer to his confusion. But his thinking was stopped short by a hand landing on his head and patting it.

"Don't think too much. 17 is still a long road ahead. For now enjoy this peaceful life while you can" Julius said stroking his hair as he brought Livius close to him for the other to lean his head on Julius' shoulder.

"Even if fate says that you are gonna cause chaos to the world, the only thing you got to do is defy it and choose your own path but if fate still interferes with the path you chose then create many more paths" Julius said.

Livius stared at the floor for awhile before nodding his head. He'll have to keep that in mind.

Meanwhile in the deepest part of the forest, you can hear giggling as a child with silver colored hair played chase with a tiny fox cub. He ran and stumbled as the tiny cub bark at him.

His ocean blue eyes glittering in excitement and happiness. He finally tripped and layed on his back as the fox cub jumped on his chest and licked his face. 

"Hahaha, stop it, Ty" the child giggled as he held the cub in his arms and raised him up to stop him from licking his face off.

"Ray? Where are you?" a soft voice called out as Rayleigh finally sat up.

"Awe, is it that time already?" Rayleigh pouted as he pulled Ty to his chest and ran up to his dad.

"I'm here" Rayleigh called out to his dad as he ran to his side.

"Did you have fun?" His dad said as he carried Rayleigh.

"Yes!" Rayleigh said in an excited voice.

"But is it really that time now?" Rayleigh said pouting.

"I'm sorry, baby but we can't risk you getting hurt" his dad said as he kissed Rayleigh's head.

Rayleigh and his dad, Oliver were part of the extinct tribe of Omegas. Omegas are blessed men who carries both genders. They can concieve a child but their physic and body structure were that of a man. No, they have no boobs but their skinny and thin.

Omegas were made over 1000 years ago but they became extinct once people found out about the knowledge that the children they concieve are more skillful, talented and smart. Beings abused their authorities and captured omegas. They will either impregnate them or transfer their wombs to women.

Because of this, the Supreme God added another clause, Omegas can only concieve once their in love with their partner. The omegas was then freed from the clutches of abusive beings and went into hiding. Since they cannot be found, beings deemed them as extinct.

Rayleigh lived only with his dad because his father got killed when the three of them attempted to escape once people started finding out that Oliver was an omega. His father got left behind trying to protect his family.

Oliver would only have Rayleigh stay outside until 4 pm before he needs to get inside. Oliver would use his power which is Nature to block the entrances of their house so that they could be hidden.
