Chapter 3

That day in the Red Moon Festival, Charles won and became the King. As promised, Julius got down as the Duke and entrusted his position to his eldest cousin. Julius moved to the castle. With that, he can go visit Livius everyday. 

Since Charles was crowned as the new king, he had a lot of responsibilities and works needed to be done according to his insight on what he should do in order to make the Kingdom better. Julius, who had nothing to do, would go to the Hidden Chamber and accompany Livius.

He would teach Livius about the life outside the Chamber and how to get by once he decides to go and find his mate.

"The world consists of 11 territories where all the beings have agreed not to interfere with. Halavard is our Kingdom but the Vampire Territory is much larger than you think. The Vampire Territory consists of 5 large Kingdoms" Julius explained.

"These territories are: Vampire Territory, Wolves Territory, Faeries Territory, Siren's Territory, Dragonians Territory, Human's Territory, Seraphims Territory, Olympus, Underworld and the Forbidden Territory" Livius said.

"The Forbidden Territory. Why is it called Forbidden?" Livius asked as he eyed the space on the map. The territory was tiny as an island but what pique his interest was the name.

"No one inhabited this territory because it forbids any of the 10 beings to enter it. No one knows what's inside as its hidden" Julius explained.

"But how did they know that they are near the Forbidden Territory if they can't see the territory?" Livius asked.

"Well, I've heard stories that there is a shield surrounding the territory and forbidding other beings from entering it" Julius said as he gathered the books and put them back on the shelves.

"Now, stop with the questions and go to bed" Julius said as he tucked Livius on the bed.

"Say, dad, will I be able to find my mate? The world is a vast and wide place. Will I ever be able to find them before the prophecy begins?" Livius said as he looked on the ceiling of his room.

He might never say it but he's scared of what he will become if the prophecy is gonna come true. He's read a lot of documents about prophecies but not a single one of those prophecies weren't able to be stopped. All of them came true. Now its his turn.

More than other people's sake, he was worried that he will hurt Julius, Charles and his mate. He might not voice his worries but he has a lot of it. He's worried that it will come true. He's worried that his mate might fail at preventing him from becoming the chaos god. He's afraid that he might get killed by Zeus before he even sees his mates face.

Julius can see Livius' worry. He's not an idiot. Even if Livius' face is passive and emotionless. He knows what the other is thinking. He placed his hand on the child's head and caressed his hair.

"You think too much. I told you, creating a path might not be easy but it isn't impossible. If your in a pinch, don't think too much and think about what you can do" Julius said.

"Now, go to bed. Don't think about it too much. You're still young" Julius said as he stood up and turned the lights off. He walked out and closed the door. He teleported to his room which he shared with Charles and sighed.

Unguarded, a pair of arms wrapped around his waist. He was surprised but relaxed and leaned his back against the sturdy chest as a chin layed on his head.

"You sound exhausted. What's wrong?" Charles asked.

"I'm worried about Livius. He's growing too fast. A kid his age should still be roaming around and having fun but he's already thinking about the worst that can happen. I'm worried" Julius said.

"You told him not to think too much but then you're the one who think too much" he said with a chuckle.

"You heard?" Julius asked as he turned his head up.

"Of course. I was looking for you" Charles said as he pecked Julius' lips.

"We can't do anything. All we could do is support and teach him about the world outside. I'm sure that he'll be fine once he steps out" Charles said.

"For now, worry about this little one over here" Charles said as he rubbed the little bump on Julius' stomach.

Before the coronation, Julius was not feeling well and couldn't go and see Livius for 3 days. Julius thought it was only a fever so he didn't bother asking for a physician to look at him but he didn't expect to faint just after the coronation. Charles immediately asked a physician to check him and they found out that he was pregnant. It wasn't common for men to be pregnant but it wasn't rare either. 

After Charles heard this news, he forbid Julius to go outside and only stay in their room or in the Hidden Chamber. After a bit of contemplating, they both decided not to tell the kingdom about the child until it is born in fear that Charles' enemies would come for Julius and cause danger to the child. 

Currently, Julius is 2 months pregnant. The bump is still not that noticeable if he's wearing a shirt. 

"Come, let's go to bed" Charles said as he ushered Julius into the bed. After Julius slid inside the blanket, Charles also slid in and wrapped his arms around Julius.

The night sure was peaceful.

Months passed and Julius gave birth to twins. One boy and one girl. They named the boy Alexandre and the girl Alexandra. The first time that Livius was allowed to go out of the Chamber was exactly the day after Julius birthed the twins. 

"They look so tiny" Livius commented and Charles chuckled.

"Of course, they are. You were this tiny when you were a baby" Charles said earning a snort from Livius.

"I hope they won't inherit your personality though, Uncle Charles" Livius said earning a pout from Charles.

"Why?" Charles asked.

"Cause your annoying and an annoying you is enough for one me to handle. I don't need another one of you" Livius said as he poked Alexandre's cheeks and watched as the baby squirmed.

"That's so mean, Liv" Charles said dramatically hugging his daughter who giggled and slapped his face.

Atleast you'll have someone to play with now, won't you, Liv?" Julius said as Livius nodded a little still poking Alexandre's cheeks

"I guess you can say that is somewhat good" Livius said eyeing the babies. He doesn't really know what to do when Julius said play. He never had gone out of the Chamber so he never knew how other children lived their lives.

He doesn't know if it was okay that Julius and Charles gave him the responsibility of an older brother. All he knew since he was a toddler were those books and the sword lessons he had from Uncle Charles.

He spent half of the day with the twins, Julius and Charles then he went back to the Chamber.

The rest of the days were normal. Before he knew it, Livius was already 16 and turning seventeen in a few days.

Pants and swishes of punches can be heard on the Chamber. Livius who is now 16 and turning 17 was currently practicing his punches and kicks. It was a normal day for him.

Training and gaining knowledge through the years is what he did to keep himself busy. He decided the first place to go after he was already seventeen. Only 4 days left before his seventeenth. Before he goes to try and find his mate.

While traininge he heard giggles from the bush behind him and unconsciously smiled a little. Cheeky little kids that loves to prank and troll him everyway they can. He walked towards the bush, his feet was not creating a sound. It was a skill that he learned from his Uncle Charles.

"What are his royal highnesses doing here?" he said as he lifted the 5 year old up who squealed at that.

"Big Brother, put me down!" Alexa said giggling.

"Alexa, you got caught again" Alex said remaining emotionless. These two twins were identical but have different personalities. Alex got his daddy Julius' personality while Alexa got her Father Charles' personality.

"Now, why were you here again? Didn't you say that you had lessons today?" Livius said as he puts Alexa down.

Despite only being 5 year olds, the twins were very clever and were able to talk clearly when they were only 4. They always had a way to sneak into the Hidden Chamber and play with their Big Brother Liv who had no idea how they are getting in.

"We snuck out! Brother Liv, are you really going to leave the Palace when you turn seventeen?!" Alexa asked with tear forming on her eyes.

Livius was shocked that they knew about this. He planned not to tell them because he didn't want them to cry and stop him. 

"Where did you hear that?" Livius asked.

"We heard Father and Daddy talking about it when we were gonna ask them if we could sleep with them. Is it true? Are you really going to leave?" Alex said with a sad expression.

Livius sighed and kneeled down to their level and hugged them both. They might not be his blood related siblings but they will always be his little brother and sister.

"Look, Alexa and Alex. I have to leave because there are beings who wants to get rid of me. I have to find my destined mate to find a way on how to get the bad guy not to kill me. I can't stay here but I will promise to come back someday" Livius explained. His heart ached that he had to leave them behind but its the only way. He needs to find his destined mate and put an end to this prophecy.

He doesn't want to be stuck in this cage forever and not do anything about it.

"You promise? You really will?" Alexa asked sniffling.

"Hmm, I'll promise" Livius said as he wiped their tears away.

"Ty! Where are you?!" a soft voice called out. Neither feminine nor masculine. 

A silver haired Rayleigh emerges from the trees as he calles out for his pet fox. His ocean blue eyes were looking worried as he anxiously called out. His form was slim and skinny. 

He wore a cream sweater knitted by his dad and some shorts that ended below his mid thigh and some thigh high socks then white worn out boots that ended below his knees. A cape hid his frame. 

Suddenly something flung itself towards him and caught him off guard. The thing licked his face as Rayleigh giggled and caught the fox. 

The snow colored fox snickered at its owner who failed to find him. Rayleigh pouted and said, "Ty, you're so mean. Why would you leave me so suddenly?" 

The fox made a sound as if saying that it his fault that he couldn't find him. 

"Come on, let's go back. Its almost time" Rayleigh said as he took the fox into his arms and begun walking back to the direction of their house. 

He entered the house and used his ability to seal the house. His ability was like his dad. The power to control Nature. 

"Dad, I'm home" Rayleigh said as a beautiful man peaked his head from the kitchen and said, "Welcome home, Ray" 

Rayleigh went to his dad and kissed his cheeks as a greeting. The older man was cooking their dinner which were steak and some salad. 

"You didn't pass the border right?" his dad asked. 

"Don't worry, dad. I didn't" he said as he tucked a strand of hair unto his ear. He tied his hair into a ponytail and proceeded to help his dad.

After his dad cooked dinner, they ate. Rayleigh bid goodnight to his dad and entered his room. He sighed as he unconsciously fiddled with the necklace on his neck. The necklace had a gem that was colored with blue and black mixing together. It was a beautiful gem truly. He found it when he was playing in the lake. He fell in love with it. It was an odd necklace that sometimes glows for no reason.

He took the book he was reading and layed on his bed to read it. It was a love story between a devil and a human male. It was sweet and beautiful in his taste.

He read the book so many times and wishing that he could find someone that would also love him like how the devil loved the human.

He wished that he would be able to find him. He wished that if ever, his soulmate was here, he would come and be with him and protect him. He wished that his wish would be fulfilled.
