CHAPTER 10

Mishi came early morning to the office and checked Xian's schedule. She checked the mails she has sent to the executives and the managers and after that she cleaned the table of Xian. She went to the coffee shop and bought a black coffee for Xian. The time is 8:30 am and employees are coming to the office. She ran to the elevator but again it was full. She waited for the elevator to return back when Xian came there along Mr Wei and Mark.

"Mishi good morning", said Mark. Mishi turned her head and wished them morning.

"Oh Xian your PA is good....She has already bought the coffee for you", said Mark and grabbed coffee from Mishi's hand and gave it to Xian.

"Ms Xin you can use that elevator with us....", said Mark and smiled.

Xian walked away with his secretary. "Don't worry, now you're a P.A. so you can", whispered Mark in Mishi's ear and told her to follow him. They get into the elevator and it got closed.

"Have you checked the information?", asked Xian from his secretary. 

"Yes sir. Every thing is fine. We can go for this.....", said Li Wei.

"What are you two talking about?", asked Mark.

"SJ management wants to sign a deal with us.....", said Xian. As soon as Mishi heard this name she get startled...."no please God not this time. He'll fire me once he..."

"Ms Xin you've to join that meeting too. I'll be there", said Li Wei.

"I can't", said Mishi.

"It's not your company that you can refuse. It's not decided yet..", said Xian with a firm tone. 

Mishi didn't say anything. The elevator pinged on the 7th floor. 

Xian and Mark walked out of the elevator followed by Li and Mishi.

"Ms Xin right now they're going for a meeting of board of directors. Till then take this file and make a report on it....", said Li Wei and handing her a file. She went to her desk inside Xian's office and sat on the chair.

"No if uncle found out that I work here he will again throw me out... God just don't make this deal to happen" prayed Mishi and opened the file. After reading it she started making a report on that. In the noon Xian came to the office and called for her.

"Here read this", said Xian throwing a file in her hands and rested on his chair.

"What's this?", asked Mishi.

"Something that will help you in today's event", said Xian and started working on his desktop. Mishi went to her desk taking the file which Xian gave her.

"You can go for lunch", said Xian.

"Sir I've brought my Tiffin....light food", said Mishi with a gentle smile on her lips. "Sir you don't want to eat?", asked Mishi.

"Well I have some important work to do.....", said Xian gazing at his desktop. Mishi walked to him and put a tiffin over his desk. Xian shifted his gaze from the desktop to her.

"You can have this....it's healthy", said Mishi waiting for his response.

"Ms Xin I'm not your friend so take this tiffin away", snapped Xian at her. "Take it away", said Xian and looked back at his desktop.

"Sir you can say that thing politely too", said Mishi and grabbed her tiffin.

"I don't talk politely to those whom I hate", said Xian without looking at her.

"You're saying as if whole world loves you. If they will know how rude you are then they will start hating you too", Mishi snapped back at him. Xian got up from his chair and walked to her, stopping a few cm away.

"Do you think I won't fire you if you say such things to me? Not only that I'll make sure that no one can hire you", said Xian angrily looking into her eyes.

"Then fire me....who wants to work in your company. There are many people in the world who are better than you and can hire me", snapped Mishi.

"You mean that guy from the cafe? or should I call him your lover?", said Xian getting more close to her. 

"Lover? You think every man in the world wants to be someone's lover? You're wrong sir", said Mishi.

"From where this attitude of yours came? Should I crumble it?", said Xian gazing in her eyes.

"You only know how to ruin lives of people. You..."

"I ruined life? Wahhh.....Mishi Xin you should be thankful that I didn't ruin your life", said Xian.

Mishi looked at him in disbelief when the door is being pushed by someone. Xian stepped back and went to his chair. 

"Did I disturb you two?", asked Mark holding the meal boxes in his hand.

"No. I was telling her about business", said Xian looking at Mishi.

"Mishi have you eaten?", asked Mark.

"No sir I was going to"

"Come sit here then eat with us", said Mark. Mishi couldn't refuse him and get seated on the couch. 

Xian and Mark sat on the other side.

"Did you made your lunch?", asked Mark

"Yes sir".

"Can I?"

"Of course sir", said Mishi and opened her tiffin box. Mark took a bite and said, "wow it's so tasty. Please invite me for a lunch.... I really want some homemade good" and smiled.

"Of course sir", said Mishi and smiled.

"I'm also accompanying you guys for that event", said Mark and sat on the driver seat. Mishi get into the back seat while Xian sat beside Mark. Mark started the engine and they left for the venue.

"Mishi it's your first event so don't be afraid. It's like a party of  businessmen in the Beijing...", said Mark and smiled. 

"Yes sir", said Mishi.

"Why isn't Mr Wei come along with us?", asked Mishi.

"Oh he has already left for the venue as he has to do some work on behalf of our CEO. Li Wei is the most important person in our company.....I mean he checks everything for Xian which benefits out company", said Mark.

"Oh"

"Don't talk and focus on driving", said Xian to Mark.

"I rarely talk Xian. Mishi is like a friend. Mishi I would love to meet your family.....i mean such a nice daughter ", said Mark and smiled.

"My parents are no more", said Mishi lightly. 

Xian looked at the mirror to see her.

"Sorry Mishi...I"

"It's fine.... I've two twin little siblings", said Mishi with a smile.

"Oh really? Girls or boys?", asked Mark.

"Girl and boy, Chunhua and Chang", said Mishi.

"Wow nice names. They will be happy to meet a hyung like me", said Mark.

"Yes", mumbled Mishi. 

"Xian will come too", said Mark.

"No", said both Xian and Mishi at the same time. 

"Okay okay....cool", said Mark. After an hour they reached the venue. "I'll park this ...You both get inside", said Mark and left with the car.

"Let's go then", said Xian. 

"It's my first time coming to such an event", said Mishi.

"I know that's why I suggest that you should come too because you're going to serve me sorry serve my company for lifetime", said Xian and walked inside the magnificent binding. Mishi ran after him. 

She thanked Xian in her mind because everyone is in formal dresses with glow not only on their faces but also in their clothes. She walked close to Xian so that she can't get lose in those people. 

"Sir over there", said Li Wei who just came there. He gestured Mishi to follow. They walked further inside the huge hall. 

"Hello Mr Xian. It's good to see you after months" , said a lady whose personality are still attracting many faces despite her old age. Xian shook hand with her. Li Wei and Mishi too greeted her.

"I wonder how much hard work you've put for this company. I even sent a proposal to work with you....and I guess you don't"

"I've read that proposal. I came after months because of that only..... I mean I'm looking forward for this deal", said Xian.

"Waah there's one good thing in him. He has really worked hard for Maximus ....", said No Mishi in her mind.

"What about this Friday then?", asked Mrs Yin Xun.

"Okay.....", said Xian.

"Then our secretaries will talk about the venue and other things. I should go now as my another business partner waiting for me over that table", said Mrs Xun looking in her left side.

"Of course Mrs Sun", said Xian keeping gentle smile on his face.

"Li Wei talk with her Secretary", said Xian.

"Okay Xian", said Wei and walked away with the Mrs Xun's Secretary. 

"Where's Mark?", mumbled Xian looking around him.

"Let's go we can sit there for a while", said Xian. The waiter came there with drinks and asked them if they need it. Xian took a drink and asked Mishi.

"I don't drink". The waiter walked away hearing this.

Xian took sips of his drink while looking at Mishi. 

"What what are you looking at?", said Mishi.

"I'm getting the picture of that day", said Xian and put his glass at the table.

"Don't talk about that day...", said Mishi.

"Why? Did something happened that day?", said Xian looking straight into her eyes.

Mishi turned her gaze from him and looked for Mark. Suddenly a figure appeared there which puts a smile to Mishi's lips. Xian looked where Mishi is looking and get shocked seeing the person.
