CHAPTER 4

"You should buy that book", said Yoon.

"How do you know?", asked Do Yeong.

"Why? Can't a low class know about this?", asked Yoon grabbing two books from the shelf and went to the counter.

Yeong followed him.

"Young master you here.....it's my privilege", said Jangmi with a broad smile.

"Privilege? Why don't you like other customers?", asked Yoon.

"Hehe...Shut your mouth. Do you want to close my shop?", whispered Jangmi in Yoon's ear.

"Here I've packed it", said Jangmi and handover the book to Do Yeong. He grabbed the book and walked out.

"Thanks Jangmi...", said Yoon and came out of the store when he saw a speeding horse cart just going to hit Do Yeong. He rushed to him and pushed him the other way but luckily Do Yeong wasn't hurt. He got up immediately and looked at Yoon.

"Are you okay?", asked Yeong.

"Yes...", said Yoon and got up from the ground grabbing his books.

"You're bleeding", said Do Yeong looking at his arm.

"Oh it's nothing....", said Yoon and started walking when Do Yeong grabbed his other hand..."let me help...come with me".

"My father knows how to treat. Moreover I'm late my sister must be waiting for me", said Yoon.

"Let me accompany you", said Do Yeong.

"I don't think so. You should go to your home....", said Yoon.

"It's early evening...", said Do Yeong.

"Okay".

"Why are you looking at those boys?", asked Do Yeong while walking with him.

"Well they know how to do sword fighting.....", said Yoon.

"I also know that.... I can teach you", said Do Yeong.

"Why would I do that? I can teach you every evening because you too helped me earlier", said Do Yeong looking at Yoon's arm.

"Okay....but where will you going to teach me?", asked Yoon.

"You can come to my house", said Do Yeong....."I mean that will be best.."

"Okay...", said Yoon when someone hugged him tightly. It was his sis Hani....."Oppa"

"Hello...I'm Do Yeong".

Hank hid behind Yoon's back and took glances of him. 

"She's afraid of you I guess. Sis he's a friend...", said Yoon looking at Do Yeong.

"It's fine.....Okay I'll see you tomorrow in the bookstore", said Yeong and walked away.

"You should be careful from now on", said his father while dressing his wound.

"Oppa I heard that tomorrow is a festival in the city....I want to go too", said Hani.

"It's in the evening. Tomorrow I don't have much work so we all will go", said father.

"I can be late so I'll meet you outside the book store", said Yoon.

"Okay....come have dinner", said father walked inside the kitchen.

"Baek has indeed found a smart employee. That's why his business is flourishing", said Jangmi....."okay deal....I've 10 books....give them to me by next week".

"Okay...", said Yoon and put the books in his bag.

"Young master", mumbled Jangmi.

"It's fine....don't be so formal with me", said Do Yeong looking at Jangmi.

"Wait are you two friends?", asked Jangmi.

Jangmi dropped his mouth unable to believe.

"Let's go.....later I've to go with my family to the festival", said Yoon and walked out of the store.

"Yoon Shik can I join you in the festival?", asked Do Yeong.

"Why? You're more privileged than me.....", said Yoon.

"You thinks this..... Palace life is difficult", said Do Yeong.

"Really? You got everything", said Yoon.

"But not the freedom like you people", said Yeong.

Yoon looked at him. After a pause he said, "Okay you can come with me. Let's hurry else we will be late".

"Try", said Do and threw another sword towards Yoon but he couldn't catch it. 

"You will learn with time", said Do Yeong and taught him some basic moves.

"Apart from this you should also know how to fight", said Do Yeong and threw a fist on Yoon but Yoon dodged that in time.

"Great..."....."Try with the sword now", said Do Yeong and they started sword fighting.

"I'm going soft on you", said Do Yeong.

"Come as hard as you could", said Yoon and try to push him with the sword but Do Yeong kicked him and Yoon fell on the ground. Yeong pointed his sword at Yoon....."this is and" and then gave hand to Yoon and pulled him up. 

"It's because my arm is hurting", said Yoon.

"Really?", said Yeong and threw a towel at him. 

"Come this way....", said Yeong.

"Your room is larger than our house", said Yoon.

"But it doesn't feel like home", said Yeong.

"Why?"

"I'm a son of consort wife of father . Father has three concubines but I'm the eldest son. My mother passed away after giving birth to me..... The three of them never cared about me", said Do Yeong with a sad face.

"Oh....well I too lost my mother two days ago. Life is cruel you know but we've to keep on going. Fulfil your mother's wish and yours too and live the life fully", said Yoon with a smile.

"What's your mother's wish?", asked Yeong.

"She wants me to study hard and protect my sister with my life. I'm doing that and I want to become a Scholar too", said Yoon.

"Scholar? It will be difficult but you can be", said Yeong.

"You're the first person who supported me", said Yoon.

"You're also first person in my life who made me happy... ", said Yeong with a smile.

"Let's go... Hani must be waiting for me", said Yoon and got up from the floor.

"Oppa you got late", said Hani with a pout face.

"Sorry sis....brother was busy", said Yoon.

"Young master" bowed their father.

"It's fine uncle", said Yeong.

"Let's get going", said Yoon and held her sis hand.

"Father it's nice cloth....don't worry about money. I have much with me", said Yoon and gave 1 silver coin to the seller and purchased a nice dress for his father.

Hani was on the back of his father and after sometime she fell asleep. 

"She is sleeping. I'll take her home....Young master it's good to meet you", said father and walked away.

Yoon and Yeong were walking when Yoon's eyes fell on the dagger seller. He checked the dagger and asked for the price..

"5 silver coins".

He put the dagger there and walked ahead. Yeong asked the owner for the dagger and bought the dagger. 

"Hey Yeong-aa see this..... I've bought this for you. It will look good in your hand but it's not that expensive like your..", said Yoon.

"It's good. I loved it.....", said Yeong and took black beads bracelet. Yoon smiled looking at him. 

"How are these?", asked Yoon showing girl shoes to Yeong.

"I don't know...", said Yeong looking at the shoes.

"Your choice isn't good", said a voice.

They both turned to him.

"Sunwo", mumbled Do Yeong.

"Who?"

"Park Sunwo....he's my friend. Meet he's Kim Yoon Shik", said Yeong.

Sunwo smiled looking at Yoon...

"You should buy this for your girlfriend" and handed him the pair of shoes.

"I'm buying them for my sister", said Yoon and took shoes from his hand.

"Sorry my bad.....", said Sunwo.

"Hey what's this in your hand?", asked Sunwo looking at Yeong's hand.

"It's a bracelet from Yoon.....", said Yeong.

"You love him right", said Sunwo looking at Yoon.

"What?", said Yoon and walked ahead purchasing the shoes.

"He's my friend....don't tease him", said Do Yeong.

"Okay....".

"Hey Yoon-aa here this is for you", said Do Yeong placing the dagger on Yoon's hand.

"Hey when di..."

"You liked it right? It's from my side.....I enjoyed the day....", said Yeong.

"Thanks...", said Yoon with a gentle smile.

"Let's go", said Sunwo.

Yeong walked away from there with Sunwo.
