was Laura's birthday today, one of her best friends. She grabbed a green tank top, black hot pants and black flip flops. Laura's parties were always awesome because her parents just let her get away with everything, which might also be due to the fact that they were on a different Caribbean island every week.
Apryl's boyfriend, Ryan, would pick her up today and then drive to Laura's party in his fancy, flashy car.
They would take Sarah next door with them too. She quickly looked out the window to see if they were already there. And what she saw was more than revealing. Actually, she had always had something against Sarah. Sarah wasn't one of those hollow-headed, hydrogen-blonde Barbies, she was a lot worse. She was a water-blonde Barbie, and she also had something on her mind, even if she didn't like to admit it. In any case, so much that she did everything to make her suffer. At school she had "accidentally" slapped a yogurt on Apryl's hair. But this went too far. Down in the street, Barbie aka Sarah was making out with Ryan, her boyfriend.
A strange anger gathered in her stomach and spread throughout her body.
She clenched her fists in anger and stared at them angrily. But suddenly the glass shattered in the window next to Apryl. Sarah had meanwhile pulled away from Ryan and put her hand to her throat and gasped. Worried, he rushed over and patted her on the back, but that only made things worse. Barbie flushed, her eyes wide with shock. It reminded Apryl a little of a tomato about to burst. The door opened behind her and her father rushed into the room. First he was staring at the floor at the broken glass and was about to make a rant when he looked at Apryl. Apryl had put on an enjoyable look and was feasting on the blonde's suffering. Her father hurried to the window to see what she was staring down at and quickly positioned himself between Apryl and Sarah. Barbie caught her breath immediately. She gasped and held onto Ryan to keep from falling over. The deep red slowly gave way to a normal, healthy skin color.
Only then did Apryl realize what had just happened. How the hell did that happen?
Her father turned back to her and looked at her questioningly and almost accusingly.
"How did that happen?" He asked her directly.
"I don't know," she said, shaking her head.
But strangely, she knew exactly how it happened. She just didn't want to admit it. Not yet.....

“Damien, we have to go back and get June! If they stop by my house, they'll do something to June! ”I said angrily. For the first time in my life, I felt responsible for something or someone. All of my animals that I received eventually died or were brought to the shelter by animal keepers because I never looked after them.
"That will not do. You won't hurt her, after all, you can't risk something like that because you don't know what talent June has. It could be a danger for the whole project! ", He told me confidently and it also brought something. Somewhat convinced we scurried on to the gate, always careful to be inconspicuous and to keep out of sight after any lurking danger. Damien's presence somehow gave me strength. Nothing supernatural, rather meant in an emotional sense, so that we don't get ourselves wrong here. The gate was open because we also had "normal" visitors during the ball. So we kept running out of the gate. I didn't know what our goal was, and I wasn't even sure Damien knew.
"Wait a minute, Damien."
“What is it, Apryl? We don't have time for that now! "
Something was wrong with the air. It was no longer so fresh and light, it had become much thicker and denser even though we were practically in the middle of nature.
"The air ..." I said absently and sniffed the air.
A light pinch came towards us and changed direction. Somebody came.
"Damien, we're getting visitors." I said loudly and ready for a movie. I had that from some film, I just couldn't remember what kind of film it was again. A deep laugh rang out behind us. But unfortunately you couldn't see anything. Really zero. It was pitch black and I could barely see my own hand, not to mention Damien. Damien pushed me behind him like a little child.
"What do you want?" He asked coldly.
"I just want the little one," said the stranger sneering.
"Forget it," Damien muttered.
He raised his hand slightly and a huge flame snaked through the night. I had never really seen Damien ... doing magic. It just looked really cool. Finally something could be seen again. The stranger was wearing jeans and a blood-red shirt and was walking barefoot. He also raised his hand slightly and thereby unleashed huge chunks of earth from the earth.
"Oh. Not only can you control the element of fire, you can also create it. Remarkable. ", He said still scornfully.
A huge chunk of earth flew towards us and only at the last second did it crumble to dust at our feet. I felt more like a spectator than a fellow player or something like that. The way the big boys wanted to play war, then I wanted to play along. With the highest concentration I whirled up the air around us and let it go on this type of earth. This only staggered a little. Ordinarily that should have thrown him back at least ten meters. But before it could really get down to business, someone from behind gave Damien a huge syringe in the shoulder.
"Shit!" Was all I could say.
Damien went down like a fallen warrior, like from Lord of the Rings. I had to look like a frightened rabbit. My muscles were strained to the limit and my heart was beating up to my neck.
“We don't want to harm you. Put your hands down and kneel on the floor, then everything will be fine. ", Said such a big, beefy guy.
I hadn't even noticed how I had raised my hands.
"And what are you doing to me then?" I asked and right now my voice was trembling a little. Great.
"We just have to go through a few ... tests with you," he said hesitantly, apparently trying to find the right words. Presumably they wanted to brutally torture me or something like that and I really didn't feel like it anymore.
I sucked all the air out of the body of the guy who had just spoken. He went to the ground with a gasp and clasped his throat with his fingers. The remaining men, there were three men and this earth type, took a step backwards, but unfortunately did not disappear. I already noticed how that was pulling on my reserves of strength. Since I was still wearing high heels, I quickly slipped out of them and got into a fighting stance. May I introduce? Lara Croft number two. Then I noticed that all four were fixing some point behind me. I just got as someone slapped their palm at some sore point on my neck and then sank to the floor, unconscious. Since Damien had been abducted with me, there was only one left who could save us: Lucian. That sounded damn tragic. Mano man.
........
Phew. But maybe it stinks here, like in a hospital. I hate hospitals, everything was white and sterile, and you couldn't get that defective smell out of your nose. Blinking, I faced the brightness and opened my eyes. In fact, I was in a hospital, or rather in a sick room. I was lying on a hospital bed and there was only one small window with bars. There was a sterile, bright light on the ceiling. Only now did I notice that I was being fixed to the bed and that both of my arms were tubed in cannulas.
The door was pushed open and a middle-aged woman walked into the room with two bodyguards behind her, or something like that. Did I really look that dangerous? It's a shame that there wasn't a mirror nearby.
“I'm Doctor Meyden. Do you know who you are? ”She said monotonously.
What kind of question was that?
"Do you know who you are?" I mimicked them, but Doc did not let himself be disturbed. On the contrary, it seemed to be calm itself. Maybe she was doing yoga or something?
“Well, do you know?” She asked again calmly.
"Yes. I'm Apryl Summers, "I said proudly, and cocked my chin a little to look a little bigger.
"Well, do you know where you are too?" Doc continued to annoy me.
"Not in Narnia."
Doctor Meyden let out an annoyed sigh, as if anyone who was held here would say that.
"If you don't cooperate, we also have other means available," she said, bored. Okay, okay, I didn't have to take it too far.
"Nice," I said in a bad mood.
Moment! That was a fair question! Where the hell was I and how did I get here !? Then I remembered the previous evening. Was it the last evening at all? My fingernail was broken, I was kidnapped, I was at a ball, and Damien had made a kind of confession of love to me. It was only now that I really liked it. What did they want from me? No, what did Isaac want from me? Hell again.
“No, I don't know where I am.” I replied obediently.
Doc scribbled something on her pad and nodded.
"Well. We looked at your blood values and did a thorough examination and unfortunately have to tell you that it is positive. "
"Huh?" I asked extremely witty.
“That means 'I beg your pardon'! You will find out more then, Ms. Summers. ", She said coolly and nodded to her bodyguards, who accompanied her to the door. Was she doing tests on me? Was I a guinea pig or what? Where did I get back into that? Manometer, only now did I realize how hungry I was! Hopefully one of them could shove something edible into the tube. I would have loved to slap my forehead with the palm of my hand. I couldn't have many gray cells. I was imprisoned here and wondered in all seriousness what I was getting to eat !? Okay, so these people had done tests on me and they were positive, so good, or did they confirm what they thought they were finding in my blood? Hm. The second definitely sounded more realistic.
It was horrible here. I wanted out of here. The worst part here was the uncertainty and the boredom. When you lie in a room with white walls and a clue of nothing, I get bored. I was now humming all kinds of songs. First the hits from the nineties - for example Bacardi Feeling - and then the stuff of today. In the corner of the room there was a surveillance camera that sometimes moved. Man, that was scary! Where was Damien anyway? He was never there when I needed him! Sure, he was probably incarcerated in some cell, something like me, but his brother must have been on high - live while we were dying in here, in the middle of nowhere! After hours of boredom, a middle-aged man came here to join me. He was tall and slim and relatively handsome for his age. His hair was dark brown with a slight gray tint, his eyes were gray, like a thunderstorm. His whole presence made me a few inches smaller and I unconsciously pressed myself a little into my pillow.
"My name is Isaac," he introduced himself, his voice crystal clear and without a sign of emotion. Too late. Now I had another, more appropriate name for him: ice block. His face was free of emotion, as were his eyes. He looked disinterested and bored. Like the born torturer.
"I do not intend to torture, kill or do other unsightly things to you."
Could the mind read? Oh my God! That was probably his talent. So I tried to think of something mundane. But when you try hard not to think about a few things, these are the things that come to your mind.
"You have a talent," I stated precociously.
He didn't look surprised at all, rather a little bored. He vaguely reminded me of an iceberg that was just as hypothermic.
"Yes. Let's get to the point. But my talent has nothing to do with it. "
"Can you read minds?" I burst out.
He raised an eyebrow questioningly and a little disapprovingly.
...........
Did you actually listen to me?" It came from June."Huh?" I made absently. Since I had been somewhere else with my thoughts, I unfortunately could not fully listen to her."The ball ..." June said slowly and looked at me in disbelief."You're telling me that you haven't listened at all for the last two hours? Then I'll have to explain everything again," June groaned annoyed."So it was about that Halloween party, right?""Exactly. We need real costumes, something original. No Twilight nonsense and no discounter scraps.""Okay, okay," I said, holding up my hands soothingly. She told me all over again, leaving no details out, and telling me what she had heard from the party last year. Of course she hadn't even been to school then, but she had asked around a little, as she also told me. At some point I ignored some of what she was telling me because she spoke without a period. She cheered excitedly, and I really wonder
closed my eyes, wondering if this was a tactic to get me around or if it was just for concentration."Okay, what are you feeling right now?"I listened curiously inside myself and tried to find out what I was feeling. There was just ... nothing."Nothing at all."I could literally hear him put on such a smug smile again, yes yes, read that right, heard! Suddenly I felt warm breath on my skin and shortly afterwards warm, soft lips on mine. My brain was switched off, I had stopped thinking, that apparently wasn't too difficult for me.At first I stiffened, then I kissed back. Thinking wasn't an option right now. He pulled away from me again and I opened my eyes. I was shocked, excited, angry - furious - and well, I was seething inside me."And what are you feeling now?" He asked me and grinned at me.I would have loved to slap myself because I had actually fallen for him. That bullshit. I probably had to show him where the hammer
What actually happened? I just remember how all the devices flew through the air," I said, thinking of the little tornado that had swept through the room."That wasn't the machine, honey. It was you," Lucian told me.I just skipped over the 'sweetness', I really didn't feel like arguing, and above all no energy. Should I now claim damages, or what exactly did he mean by that? I wasn't Bruce Almighty after all, was I? Maybe the tornadoes were one of my skills?"We believe that your ability is the element of air. Every millennium exactly four of us are born with elements. This is actually quite unusual as each ability of us is unique. Each other's abilities are sometimes repeated over the millennia, however it is never exactly the same, but rather a facet of it. However, the elements are repeated more or less regularly and those who have these abilities mostly perform some miracles. Caesar was also one of us gifted. He ruled the element earth, that was carved in s
Damien pulled the metal thing down a little further in front of my face and then put it on me like glasses. It even had temples like this and I was kind of forced to look through them. Then he fastened my arms and legs with leather straps and tested them again to make sure that they were really tight enough."How long does it usually take?" I asked him.I was a little intimidated by this device. Most of all, I was worried that I was buckled up like a convict. I couldn't move either, I'd already tried that."It depends," Damien muttered."And for what?""You will see."Damien went to the door and locked it so that it was now pitch dark. This room had no windows or lamps and every second it only got more creepy. The nerdy, whose name I still didn't know, squealed like a cornered guinea pig. I hadn't noticed that she was still in the room. What was she doing here? That wasn't a cinema."Okay, let's go", with the
Yeah ... he's just as hot as Damien. I would say it's a matter of taste," June said and her thoughts were probably somewhere else."Probably more of an aberration of taste. His ego really needs to be rubbed down like the one on it. He probably expects every female being to adore him and -""It's Damien, after all. I mean ... it's Damien!"A few people turned to us and grinned knowingly before moving on."June, I think we have to go back to class," I said as the corridor was now emptying faster and faster."What a bummer, next we have skills. Come on now!" June suddenly said impatiently to me and pretended to be texting her the whole time.We went to the said subject in a hurry. I was relieved to find that Teacher wasn't there yet. We were in a gym or something like that. The entire gym was made of metal, except for the floor and windows, and security devices that stood around. First aid kits were attached to a wall every two meters, t
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep ..."Where's that goddamn alarm clock?" I growled half asleep.Rest, finally. June had turned the alarm off. Why did my mornings always start with the high-pitched ringing of an alarm clock?"Shit! It's almost half past seven!" She shouted, shocked, and literally jumped out of bed.Now my lazy bum started moving too, I threw back the covers and put on my pink plush slippers.I shuffled into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. You could call me a scarecrow, my hair was completely knotted and I had dark circles.I owed the dark circles to the horror films yesterday evening - or rather today in the morning.I fought my way through my hair with my brush and after what felt like hours I had untied it. A little shocked, I looked at my brush. I hair like a dog or some other creature.I smacked a little more powder on my face, or rather on the dark circles, and smeared the edges with my index finger.
