Today is the day of our activity and together with my fellow Sciences major, I facilitated with them. I was tasked to roam around and monitor the booths, then later I will check the participants for dancing. I have rating sheets with me and a pen to rate if the booths were made properly. While walking I looked at the papers again to see that there are five booths to go. “Need company?” I was shocked at the voice beside me. I nearly cursed him for doing that but I was not able when I saw who the person was. He also have papers with him and a pen. I faced the direction ahead of me. I don’t want to look at him and I was glad that our surrounding is noisy because of the students who are visiting booths, dragging their boyfriends and girlfriends, and some of them tagged along with their friends. 

The air I am breathing, the people I am seeing, the atmosphere I am viewing were all different. They are far from the country I grew in, the Philippines. The people are serious and I don’t think I can approach anyone here. I was at the arrival area and I am struggling with my luggage but a staff helped me using a trolley. My aunt said that they’re holding a banner with my name written on it. There are a lot of people out and they’re also waiting for their love ones, I think. My eyes searched for it and I had difficulty because I arrived here in Vancouver five in the afternoon and its getting dark especially now that time flies so fast, it’s already six in the evening. This is it, I’ll be having my first class in the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. This school is so huge. It’s beautiful in here and I’m happy to know that I’ll be studying here for six months.
