Chapter 23 A Crippling Secret

It’s early the next morning when I begin to wake up and it takes me a moment to remember what happened but it brings a smile to my face. I’m finally where I have always wanted to be. All I have wanted the past 20 years is to be with Loki, to be his girl and be in his arms. I’ve missed him so much and then yesterday I finally saw him again. He was so happy to see me and we danced and dined and kissed. Not to mention last night… it was intense, passionate and amazing. And I know I am going to finally wake up and he will be beside me. No longer having to wake up alone.Slowly I open my eyes and I smile when I see where I am. I’m wrapped in Loki’s arms, my head resting on his chest and I can’t stop smiling. Katrina’s POVIt’s been a few months since I came to Asgard and its been the happiest I have been in an awfully long time. Chapter 25 Broken

I feel broken. I know I shouldn’t feel broken but I do. I’ve found out the truth, where I came from and I am happy about that. I’m this princess and it’s amazing but I’m terrified. Chapter 26 The Dark Order

The months after that flew by and now that I am an official princess of Marlowe and now Asgard thanks to Odin. But I now have duties. Frigga has her own personal court of ladies that I have joined which means I attend all her duties with her. Visiting villages, helping her with her rounds as well as attending the council meeting. It’s been a lot of fun and sometimes the meetings are boring but I enjoy hanging out with Frigga and practicing my magic. She has been teaching me as well as Loki and it’s been amazing. Chapter 29 Troubled Minds

The next few hours go by very slowly as we stay in the throne room with Odin and Frigga as the warriors leave with Thor to lockdown the palace. It’s taking a while as they seal every door and window and put up the magical barrier to protect from physical and magical attacks. As well as rounding up all the warriors and preparing for the Dark Order’s return. It’s quite an ordeal but it’s making me feel safer, all this extra security. Even though I have tried not think about it as I have chilled with Loki and his parents, discussing what we want our wedding to be like and talk about anything but the Order.It’s been a lovely distraction imagining what our wedding day could look like and for a moment I forgot about the Dark Order, Damian and all the extra security. We can just think about our future and it makes me smile. Our future and yet I am worried that the Dark Order will jeopardise all of that.
