Chapter 10 : What y*u think is Dead.

It was on Friday, 7:06 in the morning, at Somey hospital. Joshua looking at the window, staring at Sarutobi while she was talking to other doctors at the entrance of the hospital. He then went to the bed, after, he looked at the pendant on his neck, After staring  for some time, he went to the door.

 "I have been here for days, it's time to take some new air." He thought. As he went to the waiting room, he noticed Mrs. Adegbite walking towards him coming from the lobby, 

He smiled. "Ekaaro ma!" In their native language that is "Good morning ma!" 

Mrs. Adegbite waving her hand helplessly. "Bawo ni o!" Also in their native language that is "how are you." 

He replied. "Mo wa. Ma." That is. "Am fine." Joshua looked around for a place to seat then he directed Mrs. Adegbite towards a double seated sit.

 "Here ma!" They sat down. "What bring you here so early in the morning ma." Joshua asked.

 "Just to see how you are doing. My son." She continued. As she gently held his hand. "My son. Last night I had a dream." Joshua looking at her. 

"What ma? What dream?" Joshua blurted,  

"The world....The world is in great danger!" Immediately she said it everyone in that place looked at her and Joshua direction. Joshua noticed that then he looked at them waved and smiled.

 "We are talking about the dream world." Then he whispered softly to Mrs. Adegbite. "Ma can we go to the garden. In front of us." As he pointed to the large glass-in in front of the garden. 

A few minutes later they reached the garden. Inside the garden was full of beautiful flowers with their unique colors shiny with the help of the sun, butterflies flying all over majestically. With few people dressing the garden. Mr. Adegbite noticed it all as she declared raising her arms looking at the flowers then she stared to the sky.

"What a beautiful garden." Joshua looking at the surrounding as he nodded. "Yeah...actually this is my first time here." She looked at Joshua from his  head to toe and said while grinning. "I noticed you are no longer in pains. You are completely healed." Joshua looking at himself. "Yes. I think so. I myself didn't believe it either." He continued. "So ma. What was the dream all about?" He asked.

"It is a warning. it can't be stop." She said

Joshua looked confused. "What can't be stop."

 Mrs. Adegbite sighed. "People are starting to believe more in science and technology and their believe in God is waxing cold." Joshua was delighted to hear that.

 "That is what I told my pupils," he cried, "Too much of attention in the world of social network and science and technology." 

Mrs. Adegbite sighed. "No, don't misunderstand me," she said looking at the sky again. "Without them. People....people may not find what they are looking for, the world is shaped the way God wanted it, but some that are living in the world. Is not what he wanted. You know he love us no matter the sins we committed as long as we ask for forgiveness." Joshua looked down seeing he had made a mistake to misjudged their decisions. Mrs. Adegbite moved her hand in all directions saying. "Look around, what man and woman has made, isn't it beautiful. Without the help of science and technology, how will all these marvelous things happen?" She then looked at Joshua and smiled. "Don't be sorry. You didn't get the chance to see what is truly going on around you. You are good in every aspect of life except the part you know about science and technology," she said. "Now you know, that nothing never happened by chance but for a reason. You can also change others the way they think towards technology." She winked. Joshua seeing that, made him smirked and said. "Yesterday I was opportune to tell someone about the true meaning of Love. Today you truly tell me the true meaning of what I have been fighting against," he said. "Thank you ma." She smiled. "Thank God." Mrs. Adegbite called out his name. "Joshua!" He looked at her face.

 "Keep the world safe. I know you can do this." Joshua widen his eyes.

 "What do you mean ma? What can I do? Safe from who?" 

"From....." As she wanted to say it all. Someone shouted "Joshua! Joshua! Joshua!" He turned to see who is calling, it was Doctor Sarutobi with some doctors looking straight to him.

 "Why are you there?" Then she immediately walked to him and noticed she was with Mrs. Adegbite, her face brightened up. 

"Ohayou gozaimasu! That's good morning. In Nihon. Ma." She smiled. 

"Ohayo to you too," Adegbite replied as she was about leaving Joshua front. "We will talk later.” Then she went to Sarutobi.

 "Do you mind escorting me outside." She smiled while raising her hand to Sarutobi. Sarutobi smiled and held her hand while they walk towards the exit of the garden. From a far Joshua was looking at them. Sarutobi was laughing at what Mrs. Adegbite was saying, she looked at Joshua and smiled then looked at Mrs. Adegbite and continue her conservation. Joshua smiled.

 "What are they talking about?" He thought still smiling.

At the school. "Aren't you done with your paperwork? Mr. James is asking for it." Usman said talking to Aliu while he was typing on his laptop. 

"Leave me. I just need to edit some of the diagrams." Aliu explained.

 "Mr. James is on his way, quick everyone to your position!" Lola cried. All the teachers went to their seat with their paperwork on their hands except Aliu who was trying to plug his laptop to the printer. "Where is Mrs. Chioma when we need her the most?" Aliu asked. Lola peeped. "He will soon be here!" Chioma immediately entered the staff room with her paperwork.

 "Hope.....am not....late?" Asked Chioma while panting. Aliu went to Chioma. "Thank God you are here, please go and distract Mr. James I will soon be through with my own." Chioma looked at him, she was unsure. "What can I do? I don't even know what to say this time." Aliu immediately pushed Chioma at the back. "Just do anything. Please!"

"You should have done all these long ago." Lola said. Aliu looked at Lola with a resentful eyes while taking his paperwork from the printer. Mr. James entered.

 "Good morning everyone!" 

Aliu went to the back of Chioma and whispered. "Do something." Chioma step a little closer to Mr. James.

 "Sir. How is your family?" Chioma said, 

 Mr. James looked at her confused. "Their..... All good. Why the sudden question?" Chioma rolled her eyes downward then she remembered something, she raised her hand. 

"Sir about the lockdown. Where are you and your family going to move to?" A huge imaginary question mark was on Mr. James head. Then Aliu tapped Chioma signaling her that he was  through with the paperwork. Chioma after seeing that, she smiled and said. "Sir we are through with the paperwork." Mr. James nodded. "Okay?....Okay. Mrs. Chioma collect it all."

 Chioma went around to collect the paperwork from them, then he gave it to Mr. James, he looked at it then he said. "Thank you." He went on his way. Immediately everyone sat down.

 "Phew! that was close," Aliu said. "Thank you Mrs. Chioma. I owe you one." He raised his head facing Chioma. "What about Mr. Joshua, how is he?" Chioma eye widen. "I have not seen him for days." She thought. Then she rose up. "Am coming, I need to do something." She left. Usman wondered. "Did she just intentionally dodged your question. Mister Aliu." Aliu looked confused. "Did she?" Chioma was feeling depressed, her heart beating fast, she couldn’t understand why she felt like that, then she placed her hands on her chest.

"Why am I feeling this bitterness…." She went to the stairs. "I felt when I was a little girl." She shook her head. "Seeing Joshua talking to another girl in class. Make my heart burn with rage," she looked down while her hand covered her face. "Am married already. This is strange, something is wrong." She took a deep breath. "I need to see him, I need to tell him." She said, maintained her breath. Then she went back to the staffroom.

 "Oh! Welcome back." Aliu said. 

"You didn't answered Mister Aliu question, any problem?" Usman asked.

 Chioma smiled. "No!.... Nothing I went to shake something off." 

Lola asked. "Shake what off?" Everyone looked at Lola with a raging look. She bury her self and said with a tiny tone. "Am just asking." Chioma smiled. "Actually I really haven't go to the hospital to see him,” she clapped her hand together. "But am going today anyway." 

Lola immediately cut in. "Better!" 

"What is this woman problem?" Usman shouted. 

 "Can't you mind your own business." Aliu added. Usman checked the time from his phone. "Break will soon be over," he said. "Am going to my class. Bye." He packed his books and left. Then they heard the bell rang for break over, so one after the other each teacher left for their classes.

Meanwhile, Sunday was still at the office working. "Sir. We have save up to half of the amount the President asked for." Sandra said. "Really, Nice," Sunday answered. He faced Ukot,

 "Ukot, any progress with the work I asked you to do."

 "Yes, we contacted the United Nations, then we spoke about the business we will carry out here in our country, we were told they will be part of the operation and even donate where possible." Said Ukot. Sunday smiled, "Wow! The chairman will be glad to hear all these," then he raised a thumbs up to everyone in the office. "Let continue!" 

Back to the school. Usman was teaching Ronke's class. Ronke was seated at the back seat of the class with her fellow friends who are both twins, Taiye was seated at her left while Kehinde was seated at her right.

"Piz.. Piz...Piz...Ronke." she looked at her left. Taiye whispered as she bent her head on the table. "Where is Uncle Joshua?" Kehinde also put her head on the table. "Yes we haven't see Uncle anti-science and technology." Ronke looked at both of them. "I don't really know. And he is not Uncle anti-science and technology. Don't you know he was the best student in the University of Highborn in his department." A chubby boy from their front whose name is Steve looked back and said. "If he was the best why is he a teacher? why can't he work in a big company like every other genius? Then please you are disturbing me I need to focus Uncle Aliu sorry I mean Uncle Usman is in the class," the boy added looking at Ronke. "schools are scam!" Ronke looked at him feeling irritated. "Do you know the reason why!...Because he love teaching children like us and did you also know he was part of the engineer's who designed this city we are living in." The three of them shockingly looked at Ronke. Usman noticed their strange behavior. "Hey what are you kids murmuring about. You!" Pointing at Ronke. "Me?!" The boy said. "No, not you Steve. Ronke, stand up." Ronke stood up. "Sir!!" 

"Since you don't want to leave that back seat even if you are the best. Can you please explain to the class what you understand about Digital system?" She looked at every one then she cleared her throat. "In today's world, the term digital as deeply become part of our everyday vocabulary because of our dramatically way we are living, we make used of digital circuit and digital techniques in almost all area of life, like in our computers, automations, transportations, entertainments, robots, space exploration and also In science and technology businesses and infact other field of endeavors are constantly living in quantity's. Which represent values as discrete, usually binary or numbers rather than a continuous spectrum." She stopped to look around, everyone was silence including Usman. But Steve, smiled then he stood up while clapping his hands after, everyone in the class joined him. Usman also smiled and clapped his hand. "Very accurate. That's why you are the best. Please sit down." As Ronke sat down, she told her friends and Steve. "See....schools are never a scam."

Meanwhile Chioma was also teaching in a class. She wrote "Fire Extinguisher." On the white board. Then she turned. "So tell me class, is there anything you don't understand?" She examined the class. The class was a little bit lively. She smiled. "Am happy that you pupils will be graduating  from secondary school soon!" The whole class shouted. "We will miss you ma!!" She laughed. "I also." A pupil named Seyi from the front seat asked while raising her hand. "Ma. Where is Mr. Joshua?" Chioma looked up and to the right then she looked at pupils who were eager to hear where Joshua is. "Mr. Joshua is......" 

"Boom!! Boom!!! Boom!!!!" The sound of explosions filled the area.
