"Sorry for the disturbance. What I want to say is right now, the President is live on the TV." Sophia after hearing that went to pick the remote on the bed and switched on the TV.
"Hello my fellow citizens, the lock down will still commence starting from next week, please let there be cooperation between the people and government to carry out the activities. And I assure you, during the lockdown some agencies will come to your various home to give out food items, gadgets, money and so on and nothing will change after the lockdown. No cause for alarm. For those that are living in the village, swamp area and so on. As I am speaking we have dispatched many of our agent to give them what ever they need. Sorry it came suddenly. We didn't expect it to fall this way. Stay safe and God bless."
That moment few nurses also came in to watch the announcement from the President. A male nurse said. "How is it possible. They can't reach all those area before lockdown." Mariam answered. "They will, because they are the only one that can move from states to states during the lockdown.”
"Don't it seem odd. Why all these things?" Sophia added. "I think our solar system is about to explode." Said the other male nurse. Everyone looked at him. "Where did you get that from? If it is about that, the President would have told us."
"I don't trust them." During the whole conversation. Joshua was standing still looking at the ground thinking with his hand on his jaw. Sophia noticed he was silence during the conversation, then she asked him. "Any problem?" Joshua looked at her and said. "Not at all. Is she around?" Joshua was talking about Sarutobi. "No." Sophia answered.
"Let get back to work!" Cried Mariam. So they left the room one by one. Sophia smiled at Joshua. "Thank you. For making me understand. Bye for now." She left with Mariam also.
Sunday was the vice chairman of central bank of Biageria. He parked his car near the building, the central bank building was one of the biggest building in Ayanfe city, which have a big building behind it that contains a lot of rooms inside, which are for the workers working there. immediately he was accompany by Ukot and a female who was the secretary of Sunday, with an elegance personified,
"Welcome sir, how was your trip!" She greeted. Sunday locked his car, he turned to them.
“Where is the chairman.”
“He is in his office. Sir.” Ukot said, while they move towards the central bank of Biageria building. He was greeted by the receptionist and the security personnel inside the building then he went to the elevator, he pressed the opened button and waited for the elevator to open.
“Miss Sandra how are you today.” He said.
“Am fine sir….how is your family, sir.” The elevator opened, then they moved in.
“We are grateful.” He looked at the direction of Ukot. Then Ukot pressed the button “six” upper floor. “Sir. We still need your signature for the approval.” Ukot said.
“We made some changes in your schedule, you will be busy on Saturday.” Sandra added.
“Okay, one at the time.” The elevator door opened then they moved out and walked towards the chairman office. Sunday opened the door. The Chairman was seated on his office chair focused on the papers on the table, but after he heard his door opened he looked up.
“Hello Mr. Chairman.” He said with a grin, The central bank chairman is a dark skinned man. With an average height man and also slightly overweight.
With a big smile. “How are you doing, Mr. Sunday, how is your gem.” Talking about Chioma.
Sunday smiled and answer. “She is lovely as always.”
“The kids?”
“oh! Chidi and Diamond. They are fine.” He stood up. “About the news we heard, I was told it is coming from the sun which it will be emitting some dangerous rays that is really harmful to us.” He walked closer to them. “So our duties is to make sure the President have enough capital to fund the country.” “Sir. Then let start immediately.” Sunday said. The Chairman smiled.
“So you really want to go back to your family, that good to hear. But we need not to rush things to avoid any mistake. The fund of the country is in our hand.”
“No sir. Not just only me, You sir, Ukot, Sandra and every single one in this building all have a family to be with.” The Chairman placed his hand on Sunday shoulder affectionately.
“That the reason why we can rely on you. You take care of people before your self.” Sunday was a little bit embarrassed. “Thanks for the compliment.”
Sandra got a call, putting one hand on her ear. “Okay. We will be there.” She turned to Sunday. “Sir they need you at the third floor now.” The Chairman after hearing that said to Sunday. “Go now, don’t worry I will be there shortly. I just need to take care of few things.” Sunday smiled. “Okay sir.” Then he turned toward the exit. “Ukot, Sandra. Let go, we have a job to do.” They left his office. Then the Chairman smiled. “The future is in good hands.”
