Chapter 9 : Dreams.

In Joshua ward. He was on the bed looking at the window because it was now rainy with the drapes been folded back for him to see clearly the traces of the rain running down, looking like they were having a race down the window, “I love the feeling I get when I see the rain.” He thought. Suddenly Sarutobi knocked. He looked at the direction of the sound. He then smiled. “You are welcome.” Sarutobi smiled back and moved to side of the bed. 

“Sorry for the sudden leave.” She said.

 He sat up. “Don’t worry. It’s about work right?” 

“Yeah.” She moved to the window and faced Joshua. “You haven’t told me what the nurses were talking about you and I.” 

Joshua answered in a sentimental way. “You still remembered that?”

 she removed her glasses. Immediately a strong wind opened the window surprisedly the drapes were intact, slowly blowing her clothes, the wisps of her hair slowly swept  to the left side of her face, the rain entering the ward from the window made some droplet from the rain to touch her clothes. With the moon fully brightened up behind her, making her sparkle like a radiant goddess when standing on a pool of diamonds. Meanwhile Joshua after seeing that, the sight was totally inexplicable. “Wow!” he whispered with his mouth opened widely, then immediately he went straight to the window to close it. But Sarutobi gently held him and said with a dulcet tone.

 “Are you still avoiding my question?” she lowered her eyes.

Joshua stopped and looked straight to her eyes. With a shaky word. “Youuu…..you….look amazing.” 

Sarutobi smiled. “I don’t believe this.”

 Joshua was confused. “Don’t believe what?” Joshua asked.

 Sarutobi raised her head to look at Joshua. “I don’t believe I will see it this way.” .

Joshua still looking at her and asked in silvery tone. “Are you also avoiding my question.“ 

She lowered her eyes again and said with a tiny tone. “.....What I meant is….Love.” Then they stared at the window, quietly, watching the rain spit down across the street, then Sarutobi looked at Joshua's eyes,

 “You.” she whispered,

Slowly their face were moving closer, when their lips were about to touch. They heard the sound of thunder and the lightning, which make their faces more brightened. But that didn’t stop them. They closed their eyes and then……..kissed, being unable to open their eyes for a few moments.

 After, Joshua said. “Love conquer all things.” Sarutobi smiled, she cleaned her glasses with an handkerchief from her side pocket then wore her it back. “Thanks.” She went to the door and looked back at Joshua who was trying to close the window, both him and Sarutobi were partially wet. “See you later.” Joshua turned and smiled. “Yeah.”

Meanwhile. At Sunday’s home. Every window were closed except the one that leads to the veranda. Chioma was seated at the veranda on her pink pajamas with a glass of milk on her hand, looking at the rain.

 "The moon looks beautiful." She said gratefully. She looked at her phone at the table on her right. "Saving the country once again." She said and smiled as she leaned over the wooden bed, twisted the ring on her finger . Suddenly her phone beeped once. She raised her head to check. She saw it was a message from Sunday. Then she joyfully picked her phone to read the whole message. "Am sorry, I won't be around tonight, how is the kids, I know by now they would be asleep. Are you in the veranda? If yes. Did you notice the full moon tonight while it was raining. It look lovely. Looking at it makes me to see how honored and blessed to have someone like you, everyday of my life. Goodnight. Love." After reading. She smiled as she replied him with a message. "Don't be. The kids are asleep. Yes! Yes!. It is lovely. Seeing and knowing you in my life makes my whole life fully brighter than the fullest moon I ever seen. Good luck saving the country once again, Goodnight My Husband." She pressed send. A few seconds later it reaches Sunday's phone when he was with is colleagues, he heard a beep from his phone, In his pocket. Then he excused himself, after moving a meter away. He removed his phone to check. Then he saw it was Chioma message he giggled and read it whole.

Now the whole world is in a great distress, about what each President said concerning the strange things that will happen during the five days. The social network is generally talking about it in every area. Writing and posting all sorts. Making it the talk of the world. While in the city of Ayanfe. People gathered together with candle lighted on their hands to pray against the strange things that would happen in the world. And at the midst of the people, Ronke's dad and mum was also among them. While Mrs. Adegbite was in her room praying.  

At Pastor Chris home. He was watching what was going on in the world through the news from the TV. He switched to another channel but still talking about the same thing. Then he switched off the TV, went to his phone and dialed Felix number.

 "Ringing." 

Felix Picked. "Hello Mr. Felix, how was your day?" 

"Hello Pastor. Am good. You?" 

"Am grateful. The news from today, is that the only reason for the lockdown?"

 Felix was silent for a while then he said in an insecure tone "Yes. But...." 

Chris noticed his reaction on the phone. "Any other reasons."

 "Yes. I am not suppose to tell you all these but am starting to believe your vision." 

"Please go on."

 "Just yesterday night we scientists found out more about the obscure thing before telling the world, but we have not seen anything like this before. The rays coming from the sun does not affect we human. Even we are totally immune to it and am starting to get weird feeling about this."

" And have you tell the President about what you people noticed." 

"No. Your vision leaded me to the decision I took. We took some reading but what we saw it's highly harmful to the body, then we experimented it on a human.......it has no effect at all!" 

"Hmmmmmm." 

"Pastor Chris please what is going on?..... I don't understand." 

"Don't worry. Mr. Chris I will pray about it." "Okay...if it is possible tell me the reason for all these."

 "I will."

 "Thanks."

 "Thanks for telling me all these. Bye for now.”

"Bye." Felix dropped his phone as he stared at the rays coming from the sun on his super computer he said while staring. "Why all these?"
