CHAPTER 10.1

15 YEARS AGO ....(FLASH BACK)

"quiet Jax" A man dressed in an Armani black suit inside a car with a 5 year old boy said in a low voice

"1,2,"he counted as he pressed a button, immediately,the house in which they parked at the front of exploded,then the 5 year old boy started to cry

"Hey,shhh,low your voice"he said in a regretting tone

"Leave then alone,leave them!"Jax cried out

"I didn't send myself Jax"he said in his lowest voice,Jax continued to cry,the man watched as the family cried out, lamenting

"Is Phoebe okay?"he asked so lowly closely scrutinizing looking for the poor 4 Year old sick Phoebe

"Please tell me,she's not dead"he felt pity,Jax didn't stop crying,he looked at the house, successfully burning down and Phoebe wasn't still out with them,so as her 7 year old brother Kay. After some time,he saw as Kay carried out his little sister out,then after they entered their car and drove off

He gently followed their car,he made every move they made as well but made sure they didn't notice till they got to the hospital.

He came down with Jax,in order for them not to suspect,he looked for a perfect place to stay with Jax,until he sees Simon(Phoebe's dad)he waited till the next day,he wondered what was wrong,he sighted Simon with his family,he left Jax where he was and went to approach them

"Simon"he called to him, Simon was angry and as well surprised

"What are you doing here roderigo"he asked

"I need to see you in private,now please"roderigo pleaded,then Simon left his family to attend to him

"What do you want,am sure Gideon had done his worst"Simon frowned

"That's more reason why you have to leave here with your family,cause he must not know you guys are alive,he sent me to kill you guys completely,but I was being fair,am sorry,have just come to inform you,that's why I followed you here"he said

"I always knew he'd do this when business and money didn't favour him"Simon hissed

"Yeah,I hope Phoebe is fine and am sorry for everything"he apologized

"Hmm,you came alone?"he asked

"You should know,am with Jax,always, I'm his bodyguard,same with Gideon"he said

"Hm,he was with you all the while,you blew down our house?"he asked, roderigo nodded yes

"I hope this doesn't make him traumatized"Simon said in disbelief to himself

"Hm, I'm sorry was again"he apologized

"No problem"Simon said

Meanwhile,Jax walked into a ward,where Phoebe was admitted,she was on drop,he was unfamiliar to her,she was also unfamiliar to him,he walked closer as he cried, he was just walking along the corridor, looking for roderigo when he co-incidentally entered her ward meeting her in a bad condition.The condition he met the 4 year old girl was critical, although he didn't know her but he felt so bad.he cried louder,when roderigo entered

"Jax come on"he said as he carried him

"She'd be fine"he said and walked out with him.

PRESENT DAY.

Jax's POV

Yes,she looked exactly like the girl I had met 15 years ago on the sick bed,the way Phoebe positioned on the bed,her face,her hair,her eyes,it was exactly the same,was she really the one?was she really the girl? I thought to myself as I stared at her closely.

I tried to recollect,I closed my eyes, trying to picture the girl I met then.i opened my eyes, meeting the same girl on the bed,she was the one,it was Phoebe

"Why didnt I notice"I almost cried regretting this was exactly the state I met her,that time,what was wrong with her??

"Phoebe"I regretfully called to her as j had my seat on the hospital couch,she was on drop and I think she was currently not conscious,I couldn't even had brought her for the festival in the first place if I knew this would happen,it was all my fault.

The doctor walked in.

"Can I see you please?"he said as I looked up at him

"Sure"I said and as I stood up and followed him to his office

"Well,what happened to her..., wouldn't say it was too or less critical but she'd be fine"he said

"But she needs to know she was suppose to be with her inhaler or pills wherever she goes,it's important"the doctor said, inhaler?pills? Was she asthmatic?

"Inhaler?"I had to repeat

"Yeah inhaler,as an asthmatic patient,she needs to be with It all the time and to what I tested,it was suffocation,heat and lack of space and air that caused the attack and let me guess,she hasn't eaten"he said I nodded unable to understand what I was hearing

"Great,so when she gains consciousness,let her eat and then take her pills"he said as he handed it over to me,I collected it.phoebe never made mention of her being asthmatic,why was she hiding it away from me, wait,was that why she ran away from me?,the first day we met? Because of the perfume I wore was too strong and choking?,was that why she ran away when I was taking her down to the woods?,When she perceived the dust of the cutting and burning down of trees? Was it still the reason why she turned me down???by lying she had a boyfriend? because she thought If she accepted and I find out she's asthmatic,it would hurt me and I'd stop loving her?

Why couldn't she just tell me!I was already so upset,I wasn't gonna hate her,If she had told me the truth.

She was gonna feel inferior and dejected,if she had let me know and that was just it,I wasn't gonna let I notice that I know,I really loved her and there was nothing changing that or stopping me from loving her like I use to.phoebe being asthmatic isn't an excuse,I wasn't longer upset.

Definitely Zayn doesn't know too,and I wasn't gonna tell him either

"I hope everything is okay"the doctor asked

"Yeah,sure can she possibly be discharged today?"I asked

"Yeah,as soon as she's fully up"he smiled

"Okay thanks"I said as I stood up,went back to her ward, meeting her already awake.she wasn't awake for hours.seeing Phoebe for the first time,she doesn't look like someone suffering from asthma,she looks happy, really happy,the most happiest girl I fell in love with.

"You're awake already,I was scared"I said smiling,she seemed to have cried her eyes out, before I walked in,she didn't reply back

"Phoebe"I called her solemnly,she didn't seem to be in the mood to talk

"Are you okay?"I asked,she nodded "no"

"Are you bothered?"I asked as she began to sobb quietly,she nodded no, definitely something was wrong with her

"Are you hungry?"I asked,she didn't respond

"Do.."she cuts in

"I want to go home"she said in her lowest voice

"Phoebe"she cuts in again

"Jax, please just take me home"she pleaded,I was kind of confused,I didn't understand her that moment,she was weird,was she already feeling inferior thinking I know about her condition?of course I know,but don't wanna it obvious

"Are you fine?"I asked as we both were already in the car,why couldn't she just clearly explain to me

"I'm fine"she managed to talk,she had not eaten,and she needed to eat,I drove her to a nice restaurant

"I told you home,not here"she frowned

"If you don't wanna express yourself about what and how you're feeling that's making you act this way,I don't mind,but what I wuldnt allow right now is you not agreeing to eat"I tried as much as possible not to be rash,she looked at me with her already soaked eyes

"I know you could blame me for what happened earlier this morning,I wouldn't have brought you with me,if I knew it would happen, I'm so sorry,I just love you so much and wanted you to be with me ...all the time"I looked at her

"Hmm"she hummed

"Did the doctor tell you anything?"she asked not eating,like I knew she was scared,scared I already knew she's asthmatic

"Yes he did"I said

"He did?"she looked scared

"Yeah,he said you should take this pills after eating, that's more reason why am trying to force you to eat"I frowned

"What for"she asked,she wanted to confirm if I knew

"Well,he didn't really tell me much and I didn't ask questions either,I was just so concerned with you getting better again,but he prescribed it for you"I confidently lied

"That's all"she asked

"Yeah"I said,was she finding bit difficult to believe me?I don't think so.
