CHAPTER 19

Phoebe's POV

I adjusted my mood as I joined them to eat breakfast,in other to avoid questions,I only told Kay about what happened.i couldn't afford to keep it to myself.Even without checking the mirror,I knew my eyes were wet and red,my face dull making it obvious that I cried bitteredly.

"What's wrong with you"dad asked

"Nothing"I answered picking on my food

"I'm not"Kay cut in

"Jax and Zayn and her other friends knows the truth already,and everybody at school"Kay said and I just started to cry 

"What?"dad said surprisely

"Oh my God"mum was surprised

"Jax knew all the while but he didn't let me know,Zayn is angry with me cause I didn't tell him,he thinks I told Jax,they are both mad at me,my other friends aren't talking to me as well,no one is"I cried as I talked,mum stood up to console me

"I was avoiding all of these"I said crying bitterly,I didn't even sleep during the night

"It's okay Phoebe,we all didn't want this to happen,stand still and be yourself, we're your family,we can always be there for you"mum consoled me,I reduced my cries

"So then who brought you home yesterday"dad asked

"Clark,a friend of mine"I said

"Okay"he said,my phone rang,it was Clark, I adjusted my voice

"Hey Phoebe, I'm around,are you ready for school?"he asked,what?no one asked him to come?

"Hm yeah"I said and hung up

"I have to go"I said as I carried my bag

"Bye"I said and walked out,when I got outside,we just greeted and that was it,I refuse to say anything to him till we got to school,he didn't bother either.

As I got down from the car,he did the same too

"I'm not gonna let you go to class this way,your hair looks so unkempt"he said as he poured my hair down and repacked it, leaving a long fringe at the side

"I think it's better this way"he managed to smile

"Thanks"I said then I walked 3 steps forward

"Isn't that the asthmatic girl?"I heard someone said,I was stagnant,I couldn't move and I was very sure,Clark was still there.

"Jeez,after all the shit and embarrassment that happened yesterday,she had the nerves to still come to school"another one said,I sobbed silently

"Phoebe?"it was Clark,I didn't want to turn back

"Face me please"he pleaded,I refuse to listen,he walked to my front then

"You could have told me"he said, I didn't say anything

"Hmm,it's fine,don't let anyone make you cry,you're good for yourself okay,even if you're pushed to the wall,be strong"he patted my hair

"Yeah thanks,I have to go"I told him

"Okay, I'll come take you home"he said,I didn't argue

"Okay"I said

"Bye"he said

"Bye"I said and walked away.I entered my department, meeting Jax,wait,was he looking all the while I was with Clark?,he looked upset

"Hey"I greeted looking up at me,he didn't reply and walked out

"I'm good for myself,I wouldn't let anyone make me cry,even Jax"I said underneath my voice remembering what Clark told me.i found my way to my locker,as I walked alongside the hallway, I saw funny words and pictures of me around,it was hurting but I let it go, till I got to my locker,I carried my books and headed to class.

"Welcome idiot"one of Lucy friends said as I entered the class,I ignored and headed to my seat, finding jax's bag on my seat,he didn't want me sitting beside him,I get it.i diligently found myself another seat at the front roll,the literature lecturer walked in

"Alright we're gonna be having a snap text,it's gonna be 50marks,5 questions answer 3,30mins to admit,30mins to mark"all books,all phones,out of ban now!"as he talked,I did as he said,then we all settled down for the test,he was a no+Nonsense man,so we were all serious,he projected the questions and we all started

"If caught talking -5marks.any foreign material or phones,-30marks"he said as he invigilated 

"10mins more"he announced, I was already done,my hands were aching me,I quickly cleaned away the tears that dropped,I didn't see it coming position

"Are you okay Phoebe"he asked

"I'm fine"I faked a smile

"No,she's not okay"Lucy said

"-10marks"he said,wow!nice one

"Test over"he announced,no one cares to continue writing,he will then search lockers for foreign materials

"You can talk now"he instructed

"Excuse me"I said as I stood up and walked outside to adjust myself only for me to walk in back

"-30marks Phoebe"he said, what!

"What?"i was shocked,how come?

"Your phone was found in your locker"Tony said not smiling

"I didn't sneak any phone in"I confessed

"Then how did it get to your locker"Lucy asked smirked

"I didn't do anything"I defended

"But there was evidence,it's been deducted already,all students should settle down"it was time for marking,he announced as we all sat down,I don't get,how did my phone get to my locker,I can't believe my mark was deducted,I didn't even do anything wrong!

"Who would mark jax's script"he asked

"I will"Emma answered

"For Phoebe"the class was mute

"I will"it was Tony's voice,I was surprised it went like that till the scripts were all shared and marked.i didn't bother checking my script,cause I knew I'd get a low mark anyway.everyone scattered outside.i gently stood from my seat and walked out, heading to my locker,i saw all my books scattered on the floor and other stuffs, definitely it was Lucy's work,I squatted to pick them up and then arranged them back to my locker.i was hurt and pained but there was nothing I could do.i decided to go to the cafeteria,on my way there,I saw something.

"It was jax's crazy twin sister who kept the phone in her locker,you couldn't have stopped me,I could have beaten her so very well"Zayn said

"Just fucking shut your trap Zayn,why couldn't you just beat Lucy at Phoebe's present to show you're at her back"tony yelled,wow,well I didn't see that coming

"You guys really suprise me with your attitude towards her and I thought you love her Jax"tony said

"I do"Jax said

"Then where were you when she needed someone to lean on,for fuck sake,she still needs someone to lean on,she needs me,you, all of us,she's being bullied and we are here doing nothing"Tony said

"Tony is right"Samuel said

"What if she has attacks without our knowledge,what if she dies during the period huh??,answer me!"he yelled,I sobbed silently,I didn't want them.to notice me

"I was just jealous,wanted to talk to her today but then I saw her with Clark,that's why I didn't let her sit with me"Jax said

"Jeez"Zayn frowned,he was the one hurting me the most,the one complicating issues,I still love them tho,I still love Jax

"You know what your problem is Zayn,it's pride, you're just too proud to talk to her"tony said,Zayn scoffed

"Whatever it is,I miss her"Zayn said,I sobbed more

"We'll talk to her"Zayn said

"Today"he added,I smiled,then my phone rang,I quickly picked it,it was clark,we greeted each other

"You cried,don't lie"he said

"Yeah"I confessed

"Who made you?"he asked

"Everyone"I answered

"You really didn't have to, everyone does face one challenge or the other,you just have to face it and then let it all go"he encouraged

"Yeah right"I said as the guys came up,aside Jax

"Talk to you later"I said and hung up

"What are you guys doing here"I had to ask

"To keep you company"tony smiled,what now?they've come to their right senses?

"Hm okay"i said

"We are sorry"Emmanuel apologized

"I heard you guys conversation"I confessed

"About that"tony was about to talk,I cut in

"It's okay,it's normal "I said,I was upset with Jax

"You're not upset?"Zayn asked

"I'm not, everyone do face one challenge or the other,we just have to face it and then let it all go"I said quoting Clark's word,I frowned

"I'm sorry for the way I talked and reacted"Zayn apologized

"It's fine"I said 

"We missed you"Samuel said, really?

"I missed you guys as we"I said trying hard to smile,Jax came up

"I need to talk to you"he said 

"Hmm,okay"I said as I stood up and walked with him outside,when we got outside,he didn't say anything,you just kept looking at me,I wasn't comfortable

"Hm, you're not saying anything"I said looking up at him,he hugged me,I didn't see that coming

"I want you back"he said,that hit me right there,it feels so, I don't know,it just hit differently,Jax really hurt me I must confess,he pulled away,I looked straight to his eyes,seems he cried or something

"I miss you badly Phoebe"he said

"You didn't want to talk to me"I told him

"Fuck, I'm sorry, I was just jealous,I wanted to"he said

"Jealous of Clark?"I had to ask,he nodded here

"I was hurt here"he said touching his heart,then removed it

"I was hurt too,you hurt me, everybody hurt me,you don't know how that feels,you left me,you ignored me,you avoided me,you didn't want to talk to me,I needed you jax,I was humiliated,I was disgraced publicly and you couldn't do anything about it,I was framed,and you did absolutely nothing about it,that hits differently Jax,you really did hurt me"I told him straight to his face as I sobbed

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry please Phoebe"he said cleaning my tears away

"I'm so sorry"he said and hugged me 

"I'm sorry about your marks, I'm sorry about how I misbehaved to you,how we all did, I'm so sorry, I'm sorry about everything"he apologized,I stopped sobbing

"I miss you for fuck sake,I really miss you,I can't help it Phoebe,I really really did miss you"he confessed

"I missed you too"I said as I pulled away cleaning the left over tears,he stared at me

"What?"I asked 

"Your lips"he said as he leaned and kissed me,I kissed him back tasting mint,I had to recoil,it was too much

"What"he asked

"Jax,you drank again?"I asked,he didn't reply,of course yes he did

"Jeez Jax,this is too much, thought you said you'd stop"I looked at him 

"I'm sorry"he apologized

"No you're not,I have to keep my eyes on you,it's bad Jax, really bad, you keep saying you'd stop drinking,but you haven't,how m I even sure you're not sleeping around with girls again,behind my back"I said sternly,ouch,that came out wrongly

"You think so?, that's what you think?,you really have to bring up my past in here?"he said frowning,I know I couldn't have said that

"I'm, I'm sorry I said that"I apologized,he was about walking away,I held his hands

"Jax"I called to him

"If you think I'm busy sleeping with other girls behind your back,just because I drank,then you think I'd be fucking here trying to want you back?"he yelled as he flinched my hand away,he really was quick to getting angry,hm

"No Jax, I'm sorry,it came out wrongly"I said

"Yes of course,I was that kind of guy, I slept with them and dumped them,I hurt their feelings,I did that lots of times but now I'm with you and I'm satisfied,I would never do that,and you have no fucking right to bring in any of my past simply because I told you about them"he raised his voice,I felt sorry for him,I couldn't have said that,he walked away,I try catching up with him but couldn't

"You guys fought again?"I heard the guys chorused from behind

"Yes"I answered as I turned to them

"Jeez,are you guys cursed with Fighting?"Zayn asked rhetorically as we all gathered to our table.I am glad we are all back together tho,now it's just I and Jax at it.
