"So how is it going with Lexa? "Brittany asked as she sipped in her glass of wine that i just refilled for her.
That's something that had been nagging me for quite a while now. Sitting here at the top of the roof with the sunset view in Chef Molly's, away from work and all the disturbing reports on my company from the media. I just wanted to let go for once and enjoy this moment with her without having to worry about the rest of the world.

I should have known that is what she was going to say. Slowly pulling my hand away from hers, i let out a heavy sigh. "you know i can't do that "

"i can't Brittany, I've made up my mind, i don't want to make the same mistakes i made in the past okay, I'm trying to start afresh with my daughter and this is the first step to everything. "

Her words sink in, and i know it's true.
I mean it's not wrong for a father to want approval from his daughter first before her actually decides to settle down with another woman first right?
"Just give me a little time " i plea. She always wanted a quick wedding, if she had her way we'll probably be running around from Italy to Puerto Ricco on our second honey moon.
"and what if she's still resistant? Would you still want to marry me? "
I stared her down, showing no form of emotion on my face. Would I still want to marry her? Of course, she's beautiful, she's white, she'll be a good benefit to my business and i still get to keep a clean reputation. Besides, i love her, or at least i think i do.

There are the moments when you feel like something beautiful is right ahead of you, maybe physically, maybe mentally, maybe emotionally or maybe even in your subconscious. Dinner isn't going well at all. I feel uncomfortable with two burning gazes on me, one a deep shade of mesmerizing blue and the other, the darkest of browns. She's just sitting there alone, twirling with her fingers and staring of into space, or someone. I don't need to look to know who it is.A small sigh escapes my lips and i walk down to sit opposite her, wordlessly swapping my tray of fries and ketchup that i exchanged for mayonnaise because of this exact reason for her small plate of salad and bread sticks. I decided to try something different today. You can only do the same thing for so long and eventually decide to try something new.The moment i step into school hallway with my purple summer dress, above knee length and black ankle boots.
