I got into my room and picked up my phone.I went through Daniel's message again." Thanks" I typed. I texted my secretary." Sorry I haven't been to work, I will try to be there tomorrow, take care of yourself.. extend my regards to others and I really appreciate you all" I sent.🍭 Daniel POV 🍭
I was in my office going through some documents. I have meeting with some clients in the next ten minutes.A message came into my phone.
I checked it.It is from Kathie.I actually got her number from her mum.. just to check on her.
I opened the message.
" Thanks" it's read.I smiled.
So she is appreciative.Am happy she is fine though.
I dropped my phone and continue going through the files.
I got to the board room..we started the meeting.
After thirty minutes, the meeting finally ended.
I left the boardroom.
I got into my office.
I was surprised to see dad." Dad" I called.He smiled.
He stood up and hugged me." How are you doing son" he asked." Any fine" I said sitting down.He also sat down facing me." Your secretary said you were in a meeting so I decided to wait for you" he said."Okay, so why the visit? I asked." I have a good news for you" he said with a smile." And what is that?? I asked eagerly." I received a call from Williams he said Kathie has agree to the marriage proposal" he said.A part of me felt happy but decided not to show it before dad get the wrong impression.
" Well, that is good" i said.
" Congratulations son" he said smiling.He is really excited about me getting married to his best friend's daughter, Kathie.
I wonder how this marriage of a thing will look like.

It's been three days since I set my eyes on Kathie ever since what happened.She has not been picking my calls. Well I don't expect her to pick it.I have done more than enough damage to her.I really felt bad and am still feeling bad.Someone like Kathie doesn't deserve this.I hurt her and broke her trust.Am really guilty and am sincerely sorry.She has not been to work, it is obvious she is still broken.
I don't think I will be able to face her again.. she will really hate me now.
I sighed.
I just didn't mean to hurt her.
I already submitted my resignation letter to her secretary to give it to Kathie.
Am so ashamed of myself.
I don't think I can ever face her again.
It is better I leave and stay far from Kathie.I don't deserve anything from Kathie.
I looked at my office, this is the last time I will be coming here and working here.
I will look for job else where.
Am really sorry Kathie.
Just find a place in your heart to forgive me.
