*Are you okay. If you need help, I'm available.*
I stared at the message from Finneas one more time and turned off my phone. Skipping school was getting kind of numb to me but it was the only option I had to get myself together. It was almost 1AM. I glanced over at Leroy and sighed. It was all my fault he was in pain. He looked so pale and thin and I saw his chest rise slowly and fogs filled the oxygen mask on his face. My hands slid down the glass and I dipped them in my pocket."I'm doing this for your own good. I'm protecting all of you. Tell God in heaven not to hate me okay?" I whispered and snorted. I doubt he'll ever forgive me for all I have done. I dropped my phone in my pocket and left the hospital. There was an underground alley next to the street of the hospital and it was empty. I dropped my bag on the floor and changed quickly into a black skinny jeans and black long sleeved turtle neck shirt. I put on my black socks and flats. I put my hair in a tight ponytail and wore a black bob wig over my hair. I had fake brown contacts on already and dipped my changed clothes into my bag.
I went to the bus stop and bought a ticket. The bus was empty thankfully and I made my way to the back, staring out of the frosted window. The bus stopped at the beginning of the street and I got down and searched for the house. I found the house eventually and gasped. I expected a huge mansion but what I saw was a one-storey building. For a rich man, he sure did live simple. I tiptoed to the window of the house and peeked through the open window. The house looked empty and dark. I climbed the window with ease and slipped inside. I fell on the tiled floor in a soft thud and made my way to the living room. I observed the living room and smiled sadly at the family photos. I was about to destroy their happiness.
I went up the stairs and tried every door I saw. Their kids were safely asleep. I finally found the master bedroom and and opened it slowly. There on the bed, was his pregnant wife. She laid safely on the bed, not aware of the danger she was in. I got in quietly and found the laptop on a reading table. She was snoring really loud and that eased my heart a little so I put on the laptop and put in the password Kai gave me. It worked and I reduced the brightness. I transferred the money I was ordered to transfer and it went successfully.
"Who are you?" A shaky voice asked and a lump formed on my throat. I shut the laptop quickly and turned around to face the awake pregnant woman holding a bat. I eyed the bat carefully and gave her a smirk.
"Put the bat down." I ordered and she still held it tightly, her hands shaking and her heavy breathing got louder.
"You better tell me who the hell you are and what you broke into my house for before I call my husband," she ordered and I rolled my eyes purposely at her. I brought out the gun from my pocket and pointed it straight to her. I shook my head in a smirk and walked cover to her slowly.
"Don't come any further. I mean it," she said and I chuckled dryly.
"Look I don't wanna hurt you. But if you try anything stupid, I won't hesitate to kill your unborn baby and maybe kill you." I told her codly and tears fell from my eyes and she dropped the hockey stick on the ground without making any noise. I smiled sadly at her.
"I'm just gonna leave, my mission is completed. Look, I didn't sign for this. I'm also in a tight condition as you are." I told her and picked my bag, slinging it over my shoulder. "I'm sorry." I pulled the trigger and my heart slightly dropped when it didn't make a noise. Silencer. I watched as she gripped her chest and slummed to the ground, gasping for air. My lips trembled as I regretted what I did. She didn't deserve this. Mom didn't deserve me. No one deserved me.
"I'm so sorry." I whispered and gave her a look one more time before leaving. Just as I was about to leave the house in darkness, a light flashed on my face and I squinted my eyes to see it was a car. My eyes widened in fear as the car stopped moving and a man in suit came out.
"Hey you! Stop there," he called when I turned and kept on walking in a fast pace, gripping my bag tightly. "I just wanna know what the hell you were doing in my house," he said, his footsteps getting closer and I knew he was really determined to come after me so I ran. I ran passed blocks into another empty street and only our footsteps were heard. I used my whole strength to push myself forward, breathing heavily as fogs cane out of my nose and mouth. A busy street appeared and I used that to my advantage to get missed up with the crowd. People stared at me like I was crazy as I ran like my life depended on it. Just as I was about to cross another lonely street, a hand pulled me and clamped my mouth and I fought for freedom and air.
"Shut the fuck up and get in." Kai ordered and pushed me into a black car. He got into the driver's seat quickly and drove away like a mad man. I stared through the side mirror as the man yelled and cussed profanities while pulling his hair.
"I gave you one job! Just one job to do right and you mess it up!" He yelled and I pulled off the wig and held my face in my arms. I should have let him catch me. I should have been in prison by now. But no! All I do is run and run away from the truth. The picture of the woman I killed staring at me with dead eyes flashed through my eyes.
"Fuck." I muttered and gripped my hair as a sob threatened to slip through my lips. I'm so sorry mom. I'm sorry Jack. I'm sorry Leroy. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do it.
"Did you kill her?" Kai asked. I'm sorry everyone. It wasn't my fault, I didn't have a choice. I'm so sorry.
"I asked you a damn question! Did you kill her?" He asked, hitting his hand on the stirring wheel.
"Yes! I did it okay! I killed an innocent pregnant woman!" I yelled in tears and my heart ached when he rolled his eyes. I leaned back on the seat, refusing to shut my eyes close as I kept staring at the woman. She didn't deserve this.
Soon, he stopped in front of my house and I motioned to unlock the door.
"Look, what happened tonight shouldn't repeat itself. Come over at the warehouse next week. I need this story to die down first," he announced and I nodded and got out of his car. I got inside and thankfully, Jack was asleep. I scrubbed off the sin I had committed in the shower and laid on my bed with heavy eyelids but I refused to sleep. Not when the dead woman kept staring back at me.
"I'm sorry."
Hey everyone!
So I kind of wrote this yesterday in a depressed mood and I hope you like itMy phone's got issues and my laptop too.So frustrating!Well, I hope you comment and vote for this book.I love you all 🖤🖤🖤Ouija, a fistful of Vinyl - Harley PoeTick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.I stared at my old wall clock as I sat on my old bed. Nothing had changed except the room felt smaller. Not because it was bigger than my room at Jack and I's rented apartment, but because I had noticed that things had changed the moment I got sent out of the mansion. I wasn't the old Po anymore who relied on hiding my powers from the world and keeping shut when I was insulted. I was the new Po that killed innocent and non innocent people to save the people that were close to me."We'll be going out now," I flinched when I heard Aunt Rory's voice and I glared at the smug smile she had on her face as she peeked into my room. "Behave yourself till we get back Aye? Your new parents will be arriving with us." She shut the door and I sighed in tiredness. I heard noises outside a
Moral of the story - Ashe ft Niall Horan10 years ago"Patricia," mommy called me and I looked up from my homework and stared at her as she kept the neat plates into the rank. "Go find out what your father is doing." She ordered and I nodded and jumped down from the high chair before leaving the kitchen to find Jack. I dreaded going to his room. He was so mean to me."Jack?" I nodded on the door of the room and heard no reply from him. I didn't want to be rude and open his door without any permission so I leaned my ear against the door so I could hear what was going on inside. I heard his voice finally, but he sounded like he was crying. My eyebrows furrowed in worry so I opened the door and g
Raging fire - Philip Philips "Edana," a voice whispered and I opened my eyes slowly to face Jada. She had a big smile on her face and I stood up straight and wiped the invisible drool of the side of my lips. I raised an eyebrow at her and her smile seemed to increase. "Daddy is back." She said and my eyes widened in shock."Shit." I muttered when I heard the roaring of an engine go off. I reached for the handle of her wheelchair, and wheeled her into her kitchen after turning of the light in the living room which her father must have never failed to notice. I set the mini laptop I had in my coat pocket on the counter in the middle of the kitchen, and turned off the light. I motioned for her not to make any noise with my index finger across my lips and waited for him to show his face.
If I killed someone for you - Alec BenjaminThe day had gone to rest and the night took over, enveloping me with its darkness. I liked the night, it hid my ugliness, the scar on my flesh, and the sad and depressed expression on my face. My boots were the only sounds I heard as I walked cautiously on the lane, making my way to the black car that waited for me in the front. I got closer to the passenger door of the car and looked skyward at the canopy of luminous stars that designed the black canvas of the night. It had no moon.I opened the door and got in, slamming the door hard to control myself from scratching the smug look on his face and burning his ear with the cigarette in between his fingers."Took you long enough," his deep voice filled the silence and I rolled my eyes and unbuttoned the tight dark gray coat I wore."Jack needed me." I crypted and ignored the warning glare
Lash out - Alice Merton"Finn, they're staring." I whispered to him as we stood in the middle of a big bar called REGALS. It looked sleek, almost formal but at the same time old fashioned. I stared at the fancy drinks arranged behind the lanky blonde haired bartender who Finneas was negotiating something I knew nothing of. I needed to leave immediately. This wasn't the 'bunking' I expected. Old men that sat on the big sofas with brown tables filling up the spaces all stared at me. I guess they didn't expect two teenagers with their backpacks hung on their backs to be in a dangerous place like this."You owe me one Finn. You're lucky my boss isn't in town," the blonde haired punched Finneas on his shoulder and he gave off a laugh, one I knew very much to be fake. He handed Finneas a bottle of alcohol and I narrowed my eyes at the drink. What was he up to?"Thanks Cal. C'mon Po," he tugged my hand t
Let's hurt tonight - One RepublicSad, sounds childish, like something flimsy, something one should be able to cast off with a happy reflection or with at least a smile. It sits inside like the seed of depression, just waiting for the right condition to grow, to send out roots to choke the hope of your heart.Sadness and internal pain was what I felt when Leroy passed me by this morning, not even sparing me a glance. I had woken up early so I could get to school and be the first and maybe only person to wish him a happy return. Just as I stood in front of the gate, I plastered a grin on my face the moment I saw his mom's beetle pull up in front of the school. He got out with gray loose hoodie and black jeans on. He never wore dark colored clothes and that drew my attention. His expression was emotionless and dull."Leroy!" I jumped, "welcome back." I smiled at him. He walked past
