JAMIL

Its been a couple weeks at Peak High and I'm really getting a hang to this school and dare I say I'm liking it, who are you deceiving you love it here.

'Baddest'

'Oshey'

'Mad oo'

'Haew', came the exicted exclamations of my friends as I told them about how I got Ese, one bony girl that likes to do holy holy to send me her nudes.

'Guy, you don't mean it', came the shocked and exicted voice of Nonso, we had bonded easily and faster than the other guys so he was like my main gee.

'I'm serious, I did not expect her to send anything. I was just joking around and trying my luck, was surprised to see that she actually pulled through with it and sent them', came my robotic reply.

'Bad guy!', some of them exclaimed making me laugh, well a silent laugh that you couldn't really hear anything.

'So this holy holy winsh is not even holy, chei there is God ohhh, there is God(So this virgin Mary witch is not even holy, there is a God ohh, there is a God)', Chinedu exclaimed holding his head with both of his hands, causing yet another round of laughter.

'But menhhhh, this one shock me ohh, it shock me(But guys this has me surprised, really suprised)', Arnold a really funny albino boy said.

'It shock you? It no shock me at all at all, shebi I dey tell una since that that babe no holy anything una no gree, you see am, shebi I talk am before una no listen(You are surprised? I'm not surprised even a little bit, I had been saying it that that girl was no virgin Mary but you guys wouldn't listen)', Danny said feeling real good with himself that he was right all along.

'Abeg we don hear, but my guy how the babe bress dey naa(Its okay we have heard you but dude how is the babe's boobs like)', Arnold asked, his voice a mix of exictment and shock.

'Ode na dat one you know okwia(Fool, that is what you know, isn't it)', Nonso literally spat out smacking the back of Arnold's head in the process causing the rest of us to burst out laughing.

'Abeg free me ohh jare as if you no wan see wetin that holy holy dey hide under uniform, abeg better person come and show me something johhh(Please leave me alone ohh don't you equally want to see what she's hiding under her uniform, please my guy come and show me the stuff)', Arnold said replying Nonso almost immediately.

'Calm your tits bro, I'll show you, who's going to watch', I asked. We had a literal rule of not bringing our phones to school like every other Nigerian school but Peak high students never really obeyed that rule so anytime we brought our phones to school we had to be on the lookout in case of troublesome teachers or else you could end up risking your phone being confiscated.

'I'll watch', Dayo, a boy with a really thick Yoruba accent said.

'Oya bring the pic let us see', Chinedu said

'Omo see this guy ohh you no get girlfriend(See this dude ohh, don't you have a girlfriend?)', Nonso exclaimed secretly eyeing him.

'Abeg guy fashi dat thing jare(Please dude forget about that now)', he curtly replied.

Everyone hurdles closer to where I was sitting to look at the stuff.

'Menhhhhh, this babe get breast shaa ohhh ahhan(Dude this girl has boobs ohh, for real)', Chinedu exclaimed licking his lips.

'I swear, God see person breast ohhh e bi like watermelon ahhhh(I swear, God see someone's boobs ohh its really big almost like a watermelon)', Arnold said in excitement, his body literally vibrating.

'Oga calm down ohhh jare but menhhhh this girl bress fine die and it dey big and fresh, see as it stand, just dey round ahhan kilode(Dude calm down, will you but damn her boobs are big and so smooth and young looking, its even so round, wow)', Nonso exclaimed licking his lips and staring at the photo.

'Guys I'm seriously surprised that this girl has boobs ohhh isn't she very skinny or how is she hiding this kind boobs under her uniform', Danny who had been quiet all along suddenly asked.

Looking at the pic again he did make a point, what if this chick played me.

'Na true ohhh omo menhhh see this babe ohh she think say she get sense who she wan play? (Its true oh wow look at this girl does she think she's sensible, who does she want to play?) ', Nonso said literally taking the words out of my mind.

'Wow I can't believe she played me, I'm shook', I said shaking me head.

'Guy don't mind her we will still get her', Dayo immediately replied me in his thick Yoruba accent.

'Abi ohhh shey las las we still see bress, its all good (Yh since we still saw boobs its all good)', Chinedu said causing us to start laughing.

We continued our conversation and talked about random things for a while before we heard someone pushing the class door open. We immediately jump up and hid away all incriminating stuff in case that was a teacher but all breathed in relief when we saw it was Jameela. Yh I finally know her name after how many weeks and its so weird to know that we actually have the same name. I expected them to berate her like they normally do but thankfully they just ignored her presence.

She scurried to her sit with her head down and sat down. I don't know if it was my imagination or something but I thought I saw an emotion like fear immediately flash her features as she entered the class before she immediately schooled her expression to the blank one she always has on.

I continued to stare at her, I don't know if I was imagining things again but it looks like she sat much closer to the window than she usually does almost like an attempt to sit farther away from us, what?. I looked closer at her and noticed that she was shaking much like the way someone who was really cold would do, or someone really terrified.

She brought out a book probably to calm her jittery nerves and on closer inspection it was a Bible, a Bible? I don't even remember the last time I saw one not to talk of reading one. I'm not a religious person at all, I don't even believe in God or any higher power for that matter, its all lies that talk of there being a God. I looked back at her and noticed she had been reading it and now she seemed better, she wasn't shaking anymore, what the actual hell, just like that she's calm? Well this is the girl that can blank her face at will.

I gave her one more glance before fully tuning my mind into the conversation the guys were having before they figured out I wasn't listening.

Jameela stayed on my mind for the rest of the day even after school had let out.

JAMILWe don't care what they say, no way, no way???And we will live the empty chairs to those who say we can't sit there???We are fine all by ourselves???Woah Jamsi can sing, I did not see that coming, who would have thought that the girl who barely spoke had such a strong powerful voice, so beautiful. Leaning my shoulders on the door I let her beautiful voice wrap itself around my senses, consuming me, let it drown me in the pure beauty and pleasure of it. I didn't bother going in since she was apparently scared of me for some reason and I didn't want a repeat of what happened this morning so I stood there by the door unnoticed by her basking in the pure melody and symphony of her voice. So hey, we brought our drums and this is how we dance???No mistakin', we make our breaks, if you d

'°'°'°'°'°'°' JAMILThe assembly ended pretty quickly and we were currently in class. Everyone was reading in small groups or on their own, I was part of the latter group, reading on my own. My thoughts were a distraction by themselves and the incident that happened this morning wasn't helping matters either, my mind kept wandering back to Jamsel, her face, that injury. Why did she look so scared when I tried to touch her this morning, you know this morning was the first time I was seeing her without her permanent blank face and its kinda

JAMILMonday came sooner than expected, urghhh. I don't know how I'm going write that test seeing as I was barely able to read and understand anything, urghhhh. I was currently in class trying to go through my biology as that was the first subject we had this morning but my mind kept wandering and won't stay focused on the biology no matter how hard I tried. I ended up giving up and let my raging thoughts reign free. Mum's headache persisted and didn't let her be, she said it was just rest she needed but I didn't think so, headaches don't way her down the way this particular one was holding her down. I asked her to get a check up or something but she didn't listen to me at first but I guess when she saw my persistence she changed her mind and said she would go for a check up. She said she went and the results showed that it was malaria, that wicked sickness. She took a couple of drugs that were prescribed for her by her doctor an

JAMEELASunday rolled by as a blast even though I couldn't go to church physically because my wounds weren't healed properly enough to be hidden under a good layer of make up, I ended up watching from home on the Dunamis tv. My sister and Maria went to a catholic church where they couldn't identify with me while I went to the Dunamis church down the street. I was a very quiet member and didn't identify with any group but at least no one called me ugly there.Today is Monday and our test officially starts this week. I was done with my morning duties but it wasn't without a slap here and there for no reason whatsoever adding to the bruises I had to hide. Sitting before my vanity, I stared at the image in front me and ran my fingertips over my bruises, wincing at the contact. They still stung but thankfully not as much as they did before. The bruises on my stomach had healed perfectly and completely so there was barely any

JAMEELAI struggled with the ropes holding me down on the bed. My was head pounding more and more with each movement but I still struggled, I had too, I had to get out from here, now. Everything was so dark and blurry, the darkness was closing in on me, I felt it choking me. The shadows were everywhere, surrounding me, overwhelming me, my fear was rising by the second and I felt the bile rising up my throat. I had to get out. I struggled even more with the ropes holding me down in a bid to free myself from the darkness but the more I struggled the more it enveloped itself around me, enclosing and overwhelming, mocking at my helplessness. My panic was beyond leaps and bounds by now and I felt my skin crawling with it. My mind knew there was no escape but my body tried to find a way, tried to break free of the ropes on my hands and feet bruising them in the process. My struggles did nothing to save me just weakened my

JAMEELACucuruku, cucurukuDamn that alarm, is it already 5am, urgh.Today is Saturday so that means mega work for me and yes, I wake up everyday by 5am, step-mom is such a darling, hear the sarcasm.I got up and went downstairs to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for my step mother and sister, made their breakfast and put it in coolers and set on the dinning table so that the food would still be warm when they are finally ready to eat. I did my chores; sweeping the parlor, cleaning the chairs, cleaning Maria's and Jacinta's trophy's and awards from modeling and fashion designing, cleaning the kitchen, taking out the trash, moping the entire house and cleaning all the rooms and bathroom's in the house, wash and dry clothes. It was around past nine when I completed my chores, well the first set.'Where is that stupid girl', I heard Maria saying and my heart literally sank, oh no.
