20. Caryi unleashed

Opening my eyes I found myself on a field of snow surrounded my mountains. Wolves were everywhere a great battle raged. Wolves as big as cars fought against wolves half their size yet just as strong.

"What is this?"

A voice I had heard before answered.

"This is the future if we fail to stop it."

I looked to my right as a wolf as white as the snow beneath our feet nuzzled against me. She was just as big as Zeld but even more beautiful on her brow was a black crescent moon that stood out against the white.

"So Zeld was right there is more of our pack hiding somewhere out there?"

"Yes small one and if we don't stop it what you are about to see will happen."

I turned back to the battle raging before us as a wolf exactly the same as Caryi forged her way through carving a path as she took out enemy after enemy. The tide seemed to turn favouring The Forest lakes pack, until a tan coloured wolf came out of no where biting into Caryi's neck. That was all it took the enemy converged on the white wolf tearing her apart as she was out numbered. A wolf I knew came to Caryi's defence. 

I watched in horror as Zeld tried to get to us killing many but he was not enough as he too was overwhelmed the enemies numbers increasing impossibly. 

The vision changed to after the battle was over not one Forest lakes wolf was left alive the enemy compromised of every pack id been brought up knowing.

I watched as Ki in human form held my still body anguish distorting his features as he stared into my lifeless eyes.

"Forgive me Raven I had no choice."

I couldn't believe it the blue moon pack would never be apart of this atrocity.

"Believe it small one Im sure his words are true what ever brought him to this point was out of his control. They fear us because of what we can do and what we represent. The packs are now run with corruption and deceit they have lost the true meaning of a pack."

I couldn't look anymore glad when the vision disappeared leaving Caryi and I in darkness her white fur standing out like a light.

"How do we stop this from happening?"

"You must stop Shiya it all starts with her. She is the root cause that will lead to our destruction."

I reached out caressing her fur.

"But how do I do that she's too powerful even if I was at full strength none of my powers will work on her."

"Shiya may be able to render your powers useless but you have one thing she does not."

Caryi nuzzled my face as she stepped back lifting her head proudly.

"You are a true alpha."

I Stared at her in shock.

"What? I'm not an alpha I've never even been in the running to be an alpha."

Caryi chuckled as she started to circle me.

"You are an alpha you have always been an alpha. Your mother was the true alpha of the forests lakes pack as her daughter that right now falls to you."

I shook my head. 

"I don't understand how that changes things I don't even know where the forest lakes pack is hiding, not to mention why would they follow me. I know nothing about them I'll be a stranger, they would see me as an outsider. Not only that say they did except me as alpha what then. How will taking my place as alpha help them from what's to come."

Zeld's words echoed from my mouth this is the future he was talking about so he knows what will happen.

"Yes Zeld like all forest wolves have the power of foresight. You need not worry your pack knows your coming and they await the day that you will lead them."

I couldn't get my head around what Caryi was saying. How could I lead a pack when just the thought of being Luna to the blue moon pack scared me. Not to mention where does Ki even fit into all this? He was my mate but if this vision was real in the future he would be my enemy. 

"Everything happens for a reason Raven I have shown you this vision of what could happen if you do not take your place as alpha. I believe it is time your pack reminds all of our kind what it means to be a wolf. All the packs need to rid themselves of their human lives and return to their true selves."

"Your talking about changing their entire way of life. How can one pack reverse what they have made themselves?"

She stopped circling to stand in front of me.

"By reminding them of who and what they are. The forests lakes pack is and was the first pack ever created. The first alpha that ever was is the moon goddess herself. Her blood runs in your veins and it is with that blood that you will make them see that their way of life will only see to their demise. As for Ki that is up to him. whether he follows you or not is his decision you can not determine that. All you can do is stay on the path that will save our kind from total annihilation."

I stared into her bright green eyes my mind still doubting whether I could truly be what she wants of me. 

"How can I be an alpha of a wolf pack when I can't even shift?"

She smiled in her wolffish way as she lay down before me.

"The time will come small one I did not mean to place doubt in you the last we spoke. For that I am sorry I guess even I have doubts about my own power, but seeing how fast your growing into your new power I know that together we can become one again. You will have me back and you will shift and together we will save them all."

Kneeling I wrapped my arms around her.

"Until that day comes I will do as you say I will find my pack and I will change the future."

Letting her go she stood.

"If I were you I would start in Greenland."

Turning she disappeared into the darkness her words reminding me of Ki's brother. Of corse I had forgot about the story of Braze's death. That's where I will start my search and hopefully I will find what's left of the forest wolf pack.

Opening my eyes I looked around to find I was back in my old room. Snapping out of bed I i almost bumped into Ki.

Looking around I searched for Zeld.

"Where's Zeld?!"

Ki scowled.

"He's gone."

"What?!"

I jumped out off bed forcing Ki to stand up as well.

"What do you mean gone?!"

"Did you really think I would let him stay after this you've been out for three days Rave. We had no idea what had happened to you. Thais tried everything nothing would wake you."

I sank to my knees what was I going to do now how was I going to find my pack without Zeld? I had to find him I had to get him back. Looking up at ki I yelled.

"Where did you take him?!"

Ki avoided my eyes remaining silent. I got back to my feet pushing him in the chest.

"What have you done?!"

Visibly Steeling himself he gritted his teeth.

"I gave him back to Tharon."

"You what?! How could you do that? What if Shiya has already taken control of him?!"

"How stupid do you think I am I already asked Loki she hasn't made a move on Tharon. Loki hasn't even seen or heard a thing of the bounty hunter. I had no choice he is still tied to their pack Tharon demanded his release. We were already skating on thin ice as it is."

"How's that any better Ki Tharon will kill him for coming here You might as well have slit his throat yourself. You could have claimed he escaped and let him go anything would have been better then to give him over to Tharon."

"I have a whole pack to think about Raven not everything is about you and your so called brother!"

I growled.

"Zeld is my pack!"

Ki clenched his fists in frustration.

"No Rave we are your pack you are this packs future Luna start acting like it!"

After everything that Caryi had showed me I realised there were more important things to think about then my mate and the blue moon pack. All the packs were in danger not just his. My own pack was facing extinction as was all of our kind. 

Ki took a deep breath as he stared into my eyes.

"What's really going on?"

I couldn't tell him I realised that if I failed to change the future he would become my enemy. I couldn't risk it, if I told him I was intending to find the forest lakes pack then he turned against me, I'd be leading Shiya right to them.

As much as I hated it I had to let him go and hope that I could stop what was to come. Then maybe some day we could be together again.

I went around the room as I started gathering my things.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to go save Zeld."

Ki grabbed my arms.

"Are you insane you may not be banished any more but if you march into moon goddess territory they will have grounds to kill you."

"I don't care I'm not abandoning him!"

"Rave please tell me what happened while you were asleep? Did Caryi tell you something?"

I sighed. While I couldn't tell him anything, he deserved at least some explanation.

"Yes I spoke with Caryi I'm sorry Ki but there's something I must do and I need Zeld's help to do it."

I could tell my words hurt him but I forged ahead before I changed my mind.

"I can't tell you why but I need to leave there's something I have to do."

Ki cupped my face.

"Then go."

My eyes widened in surprise.

"What?"

He kissed my lips.

"You were right Rave I do have problems trusting but it's time I change that. So even though I don't know what's going on I trust that you know what your doing."

I wrapped my arms around his neck pressing my lips to his everything that had happened forgotten as he lifted me up. he carried me to the bed. 

As he lay on top of me he kissed my nose.

"I love you Raven don't ever forget that."

I stared into his eyes.

"I love you too Ki and I'm ready to prove to you just how much."

Rolling Ki over I straddled him as I removed my shirt. Sitting up Ki did the same as his hands caressed my back I pulled my hair aside exposing the mark he had already made.

"I want to do this like it's the first time like it should have been done.... together."

Unbuckling his pants as he did the same to me both of us now skin to skin. I rubbed up against him as he took my nipple in his mouth. 

I reached down guiding Him inside me as I moaned with the sensation. While before it didn't work I knew this time it would as I extended my canines even as Ki did his. My green glow reflecting in his blue. 

Ki cupped my face.

"Are you sure?"

I nodded.

"More then ever."

A second later his canines were imbedded in my neck as he moved inside me. Opening my mouth I pierced his skin completing the mated bond.

As our blood entered each other's body his thrusts growing more wild as something awakened inside me. 

I could hear Caryi as falc and Ki as one sealed our bond pushing both Caryi and I over the edge.

'Raven I cant believe it you can hear me!'

I fell on to the bed panting not believing what I was hearing.

'Is that really you?'

'Yes small one it's me I'm finally free to talk to you.'

"I can't believe it."

I exclaimed out loud.

"Rave?"

I turned to Ki kissing him deeply.

"It's Caryi I can hear her!"

Ki pulled me into his arms.

"That's great Rave!"

But my happiness was short lived when I remembered why I had decided to mark him in the first place. I had finally gained my wolf back and I was leaving him. 

'We will see them again small one this is not the end.'

"What's wrong?"

I avoided his eyes as I answered.

"After all this time all I wanted was to gain my wolf back to prove I deserved to be with you now I have to leave."

Ki gently forced me to look at him.

"We will be together again Rave and I feel better about you leaving knowing Caryi will be with you to help save Zeld."

'It is a good mate we have chosen.'

I smiled sadly if only he could be with us through this but I knew what we faced we had to face alone. Ki had his pack to think about and I had my own. Ki was right however we would see each other again I only hoped it wouldn't be as enemies.
