43. After effects

It was strange since the battle at the mountain I could now sense every living creature within a few miles of the ravine. Every bird every beast even every sea creature beneath the ice. All of them flowed like energy across the land under the sea through the skies. I knew there location, their intent and felt their desire to live. 

I could even feel Zeld and the others as they travelled across the snow. The power the moon goddess had gifted me had intensified ten fold since I had summoned the call of nature. I felt the connections between the earth sky and sea and all that inhabit it.

It both scared me an was exhilarating at the same time. Somehow I knew this was but a fraction of what the power of the goddess could do and that I had merely tapped into the smallest portion of Luna's power. I was curious just how far this strange new power reached.

I sat in the main den my legs crossed as I closed my eyes. Concentrating on the energy within me how it flowed. Atoms, neurones, particles, it was all just energy connected to the earth, the sky, the sea. We were all connected through energy I flexed my energy out searching stretching. 

I wanted to see what would happen if I sent my energy over greater distances. As my energy flowed along the snow then using the wind currents I melding with the sky to get a better vantage point to see the land below. Being connected to the nature like this my senses expanded to cover the whole island. 

I watched as Zeld and the others still a good day away from the ravine. I could feel my energy draw towards Zeld our mated bond connecting us in more ways then the connection I felt with the others. As I propelled my energy towards him I felt his energy welcome mine.

"Rav?"

Startled I answered.

"You can feel me?"

Now normally the range of our mind link was perhaps a few hours in all directions but by tapping into this new power it seems I could communicate even further.

"Where are you? Are you alright?"

I marvelled at this new found power.

"I'm fine I'm at the ravine with the others and Loki."

I grimaced at his name feeling guilty when we had got back I'd healed him while he slept then fled before he could wake. The truth was I putting it off scared to look into his eyes after how I'd hurt him so bad. 

"Loki? How... how are you doing this if your at the ravine?"

I sighed.

"It's a long story one id rather tell you in person."

Zeld remained silent, I was surprised however when lone spoke and I could hear it.

"The power of the moon goddess."

Through me Caryi's energy welcomed Lone's with a lovers embrace.

"Yes we have been given Luna's powers which is how we are talking with both of you now. Through life energy."

Caryi answered lone, I felt Zeld's surprise at hearing Caryi's voice.

I began to pant feeling tired all of a sudden. 

"Rav what's wrong?"

"No.. nothing I'm fine."

"Don't lie to me Rav I can sense that somethings wrong."

Lone's voice sounded again.

"You must both return this power is only new. you are not accustomed to it so it is sapping your strength."

I tried doing as lone had said but for some reason it wasn't working I didn't have the strength to retract from Zeld.

"Mate!"

Lones yell was the last thing I heard before with one last burst of strength I pulled my energy back, but it was too fast like when I rubber band is snapped. My energy was snapped back into my body without the grace it had when I'd sent it out. My head pound as I was forced back slamming it on the floor.

I tried to get up but my fatigue was too great I didn't have the strength to even roll over as my eyes closed I passed out.

Opening my eyes I could feel someone's hand in mine. I looked over to see Zeld lying next to me.

"Zeld..."

I tried to speak but my mouth was so dry, hearing his name his eyes snapped open. Snapping to sit up his voice full of worry.

"Rav! Your awake! Thank god i thought I'd lost you."

He bent down cupping my face as he kissed me. I chuckled at his over reaction.

"Zeld I'm fine I just passed out no big deal."

He stared down at me shocked and upset.

"Rav you've been out for a week!"

I stared at him raising my eyebrows in doubt.

"What?!"

I tried to sit up but my body felt like it weighed a thousand pounds. Zeld sighed as he gently pushed me back down.

"What were you thinking?!"

He pinched the bridge of his nose as he visibly tried to calm himself. After awhile Zelds eyes met mine again.

"Keyon told me what happened at the cave."

His hand wrapped around mine.

"You promised me Rav."

I looked away avoiding his eyes knowing exactly what he was talking about. I had promised that I wouldn't take any more risks. How could I make him understand I had no choice I had to jump in. Luna was in trouble Keyon and the others were in trouble I couldn't just watch as they were taken away or worse. Not that it made much difference in Luna's case but still at least I saved the others.

His hand snaked around my back as he lifted me to wrap his arms around me. I buried my face in his neck knowing how worried he must have been this past week.

"I'm sorry Zeld, I don't know what came over me honestly. I saw that Keyon and the others were captives and something in me just snapped. It's like  the power inside me just knew that I had to interfere. I couldn't let them take her, not that it mattered in the end."

Zeld pulled back as he caressed my cheek.

"I'm sorry too I just..."

He sighs.

"I was just so worried when you wouldn't wake up. Felk told me that you were just drained and needed to recharge as she put it but seeing you lying there..."

I pressed my lips to his.

"I'm sorry I was just testing my powers I should have realised that it wasn't as simple as I thought. All magic takes its toll I guess I forgot that."

Zeld pulled me close as his hand tangled in my hair.

"I wish I could have seen Shiyas face when she saw what you could do."

I giggled into his chest.

"It did feel good to show her just how far I've come from the pathetic cursed wolf I was."

He pulled back cupping my face.

"You were never pathetic to me."

His eyes stared into mine as I saw all the love he felt for me in those green glowing orbs. I moved to take his lips pulling back.

"Rav you've only just recovered."

I smiled.

"Shut up and kiss me."

He hesitated but the fire in his eyes betrayed his burning desire as his lips came crashing down on mine. His hands found the edge of my top as they connected to my skin he pulled my shirt off breaking our kiss only to returned the moment I was free. His hands caressing my breast as his kisses travelled to my neck nibbling at my ear as he passed causing me to moan. 

I pulled his shirt off as my hands explored his abs tracing the scar he got when he escaped Quell. My mind going back to the fact that he was still alive.

"Rav?"

I looked up as Zeld's eyes showed worry once more. I shook my head.

"It's nothing."

I silenced any words as I took his lips once more unbuttoning his pants as I did. He growled in pleasure as I took his length in my hands. His kisses once again going to my neck as he undid my own pants his hand finding the edge of my knickers as his fingers delved into my most sensitive spot. 

His fingers working magic inside me as I worked his length both of us so close to that all consuming abyss. Not being able to take it any more needing him inside me I pulled back ridding ourselves of the fabric that separated us. Zeld lifted me up so that I straddled him as he slowly painfully entered inside me.

I moved against him even as he moved with me our bodies meld together. As I started to speed up Zeld growled.

"Not so fast I want to savour you."

I groaned impatiently as he lifted me up gently lying me down.

"Don't pout."

He kissed me his passion in that kiss making me pant with its intensity. Kissing his way to my ear as he nibbled making me crazy. His Kisses continued towards my breast as once again his teeth gently nipped at the sensitive buds. My hands clenched at the furs beneath me as my mind screamed for more. His kisses slash bites made their way to my thighs as finally he reached my core his tongue working it's magic as his fingers added to the pleasure my moans turning to even more panting as I tipped over the edge grasping his hair in its throws. 

Not giving me any reprieve he pulled back only to plunge into me causing me to growl in pleasure as he pumped his way to his own release pulling me once again over that edge with him.

Afterwards I lay on his chest smiling as I traced the out line of his abs. I looked up at Zeld his smile putting me in a playful mood. I faked a yawn saying.

"I could sleep for a week after that."

His smile turned to a scowl.

"Too soon?"

His smile didn't return as I sighed.

"It's really not as bad as you think Zeld I just got a little carried away that's all."

He rolled his eyes his happy mood from a few seconds ago completely gone.

"It's not funny Rav your only new to having power like this well to be honest your new to having power at all."

I growled making him soften.

"I'm not trying to upset you Rav but you have to understand there are consequences to using our power. Yours most of all now that you have the moon goddesses power,which we still have to talk about by the way. It's a lot more dangerous for you since it's stronger it takes more of a toll on your body. You have to know your limits, going too far can kill you."

I kiss his lips.

"I know all this Zeld-"

He cuts me off.

"Then why do you keep taking these stupid risks?"

I look away not being able to look into those eyes  so full of worry.

"I don't know I just wanted to see what I could do I guess."

He pulled me closer lifting my chin up to look at him.

"You don't need to keep proving yourself Rav. You are alpha the moon goddess has chosen you and has given her power to you, don't let it be in vain by pushing yourself too far."

He kissed my forehead.

"Get some sleep Rav tomorrow we'll figure out how we're going to get the pack to New York."

I raised my eyebrows at him.

"That's the plan right?"

I nodded.

"they won't know what hit them when a pack of wild wolves moves in."

I laughed.

"New York here we come."

I snuggled closer to Zeld as he wrapped the furs around us squeezing me tighter. my eyes closed I felt the warmth and love of my mate beneath me as our chest rose and fell in unison both of us slipping into the abyss of sleep. The stress of the future forgotten as we slept the light of our love surrounding us.
