47. Two packs come together

It wasn't til we got back to our building when reality set in and the fun of last night was completely forgotten. Damien had offered for the pack to join his at the red paw pack house where we could better plan for Luna's rescue so Tharon accompanied us home to help with the move. 

It wasn't  til I heard the yelling that I realised what a bad idea that was. 

"You can't just waltz back into her life like the past doesn't matter like all is forgiven!"

"That's not what I'm doing I only wish to make up for the mistakes I made in the past."

"You mean like when you killed her mother your daughters mother?! No amount of good deeds could ever make up for your attempt at slaughtering thousands. You almost wiped her entire pack from this earth!"

"I know believe me I know but I'm trying you have to believe I've changed I'm not the monster I used to be."

Loki and Tharon were yelling at each other seconds away from Loki killing him there and then. Quickly I ran forward putting myself in between them as I growled.

"Enough both of you this isn't helping."

"I can't believe your trusting him after what he's done!"

I sigh turning to Tharon.

"Can you give us a minute please."

He nods as he leaves without a word his shoulders slumped knowing Loki had every right to be angry but now was not the time.

"Loki I know how you feel Lyieta was my mother not to mention how he treated me growing up but if I'm willing to give him a chance why can't you?"

He runs a hand through his hair trying to calm himself.

"I just can't do that Rave Lyieta your mother she was my mate what would you do if Zeld was killed?"

I growled at the thought.

"See I can't stop being angry with the one that took her from me."

I placed my hand on his shoulders.

"I get it honestly I do but as much as he deserves all of your anger we need him. He knows more about Shiya and the other packs then we ever well. We need him if we ever have a chance of uniting the packs against Shiya."

His face hardens knowing I'm right but unwilling to admit it. 

"How about this when this is all over and everything is said and done if you want to kill him go ahead I won't stand in your way but until then you don't have to like it but you do have to except it. I don't want to have to order you as alpha but I will if you give me no choice."

Finally Loki's shoulders slump as he nods his head the only indication that he will do as I say before he walks away leaving me alone the rest of the pack that had heard the fight and came to investigate averted their eyes and I growled.

"Don't you all have something better to do?!"

They hurriedly left the room returning to their packing.

"You alright?"

I sighed turning towards Zeld.

"I'm fine."

"He's right you know Tharon seems like he's genuine in his offer to help but can we really trust him?"

I kiss him on the lips as I answer.

"If he tries anything I'll kill him myself."

Zeld smiles as he cups my face.

"I'm proud of you."

I knit my eyebrows in confusion.

"What for I didn't do anything?"

He kisses my forehead then my cheek finishing on my lips as he pulls back to gaze into my eyes.

"You did more then you think with each day that passes you become even more amazing as a true leader of a pack."

My cheeks go red at his words embarrassed at being praised not being used to it.

"Come on the sooner we get to the red paw pack the sooner we can get Luna back."

He kisses me one last time before we head back to our room to finish packing.

Three hours later we arrived at the red paw pack house well let's face it mansion just like the blue moons only much bigger. Damien greeted us as his pack members show the forest lakes wolves to their rooms friendships already forming from last nights event. 

"Come I'll show you to your room."

I shook my head.

"That can wait we need to start planning Luna's rescue too much time has past already the longer she's with them the greater the risk."

Damien flashes his charming smile.

"Relax Raven there's plenty of time trust me our moon goddess is safe my spies have told me as much. It will take some time to get everything ready first our packs need to train together get used to each other. We can not rescue her if we do not work as one pack instead of two."

His words made sense but it didn't sooth the bad feeling I had that time was running out and that if we didn't find her soon... I shook my head no she said they wouldn't kill her and why would they they think she still has her power. Maybe I was just so used to bad things happening I saw them everywhere.

"Very well but we can't delay for too long."

Damien nods.

"Of course I'll show you to your room."

He starts towards the stairs as he leads us to our room making small talk the whole way but I'm not listening us Zeld grabs my hand squeezing gently he talks through the mind link.

"You alright?"

I nod answering the same way.

"Yes just tired I guess."

His eyes show concern.

"Are you sure that's all?"

I wanted to tell him about the bad feeling I had but for some reason I don't as I smile tucking it away to the back of my mind.

"Honestly I'm just tired last night must be catching up to me."

He smiles knowing that the second we got home he devoured me meaning we didn't get any sleep at all. 

"Totally worth every second though."

I chuckle quietly as Damien still rattles on unaware of the silent conversation going on right behind him.

"Definitely even though I'm paying for it now I don't regret a thing."

He holds my hand pressing his lips to my fingers. Finally stopping at the door to our room Damien opens it to reveal a lavish two bedroom with walk in and bathroom. 

"Well here we are I'll leave you to it please let your pack know that the training grounds are out back if they would like to join."

I nod.

"Thank you I will let them know."

"You can join yourself if you'd like Im eager to see how much you have grown in your powers since we were younger."

I smile.

"Another time perhaps but thank you for the offer."

Damien didn't yet know that I held the goddesses power Zeld and I had decided it was best until we knew for sure he could be trusted. 

"Of course well till later then I've arranged a meeting with the alpha of the silver claw pack for tomorrow."

I narrowed my eyes.

"The silver claw pack?"

He nods.

"Yes I figured we needed as much help as we can get and Tharon tells me the silver claw pack has long since hated the moon goddess pack so if anyone would be willing to help us it's them."

I smile remembering the many times Tharon would rant and rave about the slivers sabotaging business deals and stealing strong members. 

"Yes he's right if anyone would help us it'd be them but Tharon had best stay out of sight if we are to convince them."

"He's well aware. Well anyway I've left the details on the table over there. I'll see you both later."

He leaves the room as I turn to Zeld scowling.

"I hate all this politics i wish we could just storm in there and take Luna back."

"You know it's not that simple."

I sigh sitting on the bed.

"I know just wishing everything was simpler you know."

Zeld chuckles.

"If everything was simple there would be no need to rescue Luna in the first place."

I lay back my head hitting the pillow as I closed my eyes my fatigue made stronger now that the comfort of the bed called to me.

I heard Zeld step closer as he kisses my forehead.

"Get some sleep Rav I'll go grab the pack and head to the training grounds."

I just moan a consent as id already started to fall asleep barely noticing when Zeld leaves the room fast asleep the second the door closes.
