49. Alpha Nate

The next day we were to meet with the silver claw pack. It's had been awhile since I had seen alpha Nate. He became alpha at a very young age and was some what of a genius at least that's what I'd heard. Since I had grown up with the moon goddess pack the silver claw pack had next to no dealings with us since the hate between them had been going for years.

Damien had invited Nate to the house since it was the safest place right now with both our packs guarding it. 

Zeld and I waited with the elders of the forest lakes pack. It would've been more polite to greet Nate at the door with Damien but since we wanted our alliance with the red paw pack to be a secret as long as possible we decided it was better to see where he stands first. Damien was to meet with Nate in the adjoining room while where we could still hear their conversation and wait for the right moment to reveal ourselves. 

So when voices could be hear we remained silent listening in.

"Why did you invite me here Damien? If it's to join that bitch Shiya you can forget it-"

"No not at all quite the opposite really. I want you to join the red paw pack against Shiya."

There was silence then.

"Is this a trick some trap because if it is the silver claw pack will-"

"It's not a trap listen Shiya killed my father and what's worse is they forced my little sister to do it. I want her dead just as much as you do but we need as many allies as we can to do it."

"Even if I did believe you how are we going to stand against the moon goddess pack and the two remaining packs she's enlisted."

"So the white tail pack has joined her? You have prof of this?"

"Yes my spies saw them making the deal she's promised them free rein if they help her to become the new moon goddess. So I ask how are we to stand a chance against three packs two of which have more power then both our packs."

Time for us to reveal ourselves had come. Opening the door I walked into Damiens office with Zeld and the elders in tow.

"Because you'll have the forest lakes pack as your allies."

 Nate spun around at the sound of my voice surprise and suspicion in his eyes. He was about my age. Tall with black hair and brown eyes his clean shaven well dressed demeanour gave off an air of arrogance. 

"What is the meaning of this?"

His eyes land on Zeld as they widen in anger.

"I knew this was a trap! You distract me while Tharon's adopted son comes to kill me!"

He develops a defensive stance as he faces us. I groan, males  never listen. Waving my hand my wind has him pushed back and sitting in the chair behind Damiens desk.

"Sit down Nate before you hurt yourself and listen for a change."

He grows at me but I just ignore him.

"Zeld is no longer with the moon goddess pack he is my beta."

His eyes narrow still suspicious.

"Your beta? A banished wolf now an alpha and you expect me to believe that you became an alpha when last I heard you couldn't even shift."

I growled my eyes glowing in anger.

"What you believe and what is fact are two different things Nate. The fact is if you want to take Shiya down you are going to need the help of me and my pack."

He scoffs.

"And what could a wolf less alpha and a pack that's been a myth for centuries possibly do to help?!"

That was it the small mindedness of this male had finally pissed me off. 

'Let us show him how shiftless we are!'

Without warning i shifted and pounced on him throwing him from the chair and pinning him to the ground.

"Rav!"

I growled back at Zeld projecting my mind link to all in the room.

"Stay out of this!"

Turning my snout back to Nate I bared my teeth as he glared up at me.

'Let's get one thing straight as to who has more power here because believe me if you ever underestimate me or my pack again I won't hesitate to kill you. Now your either with us or your against us which do you choose?"

He remains silent as he continues to stare up at me. Then to me surprise he starts laughing.

'Has he gone mad with fear?'

I ignore Karyi's question as Nate stops laughing and looks up at me no longer glaring.

"Your very persuasive alpha Raven."

I step back letting him stand up as he dusts himself off and finally takes me in completely.

"Alpha in deed you certainly have the temperament for one. So I guess this means the forest lakes pack is real?"

"As real as any other pack, and far stronger then your average werewolf I can assure you."

I looked to Damien surprised by the praise.

"The forest lakes pack has joined us here so that we may prepare better for what is to come."

Nate narrows his eyes.

"And what is to come?"

I'm the one to answer.

"A war to end all wars."

Nates eyes search every face in the room, then he chuckles.

"Well I had thought this meeting would end an entirely different way but I'm glad it didn't. Of course as you know the silver claw pack has always been against the moon goddess pack and if your plan is to over throw them then you have the full support of me and my pack. I must admit I'm keen to see these forest lakes wolves in action."

Now that our alliance was established we spent the next few hours explaining what the next steps were. Nate knew that Shiya had captured Luna but was surprised that she had already passed her powers to me. The whole time during the meeting I found his eyes would occasionally slide my way seeming to study me. I had left to change at some point since I had no desire to be naked in front of them all and it was impractical to stay in wolf form. 

We had decided that it was safer to bring the silver claw pack here as well. It would mean the mansion would be very cramped with three packs under its roof but we knew it would be safer if we were together. Safety in numbers and all that. By the end of the meeting we had a plan to rescue Luna and possibly take out Shiya in the process, whether it worked or not remained to be seen. I only hoped that our alliance with the silver moon pack would tip the odds in ours favour. I guess only time would tell.
