Muddy thunder storm's

*Three weeks later

Addilyn pov-

I jump under my covers again as the wind picks up outside. As I hear the thunder crash again I jump up from my bed and run into the closet. I close the closet door and tears stream down my face.

Flashback

I scream as the thunder booms in the sky, at the moment I'm locked up in the shed, that's in the backyard. He locked me up again because I tried to leave once again, he beat me senseless as soon as he got a hold of me, I let out a blood curdling scream as the thunder and lightning boom through the sky.

I have always been scared of thunderstorms since I was a little kid, I think I will always be scared of them. I can still feel the dried blood being replaced by new blood from the open gash on my side. He cut me with a kitchen knife when I didn't listen to him.

I try thinking of happy things, but that's kinda hard when I may be bleeding to death, I just wanna go home. But the only thing that circles through my mind at the moment is I may never get to go home. I cough as my cold gets worse by the hours that pass by in this cold shed.

I scream again as the thunder crashes, I screamed so loud I'm afraid I may burst my lungs open. That blood might leak out of my mouth, that my body may split open, my body may even shut down.

End of Flashback

I scream again as the thunder crashes, all of the sudden my closet door is opened, I back away until I'm pressed to the wall. I rock myself back and forth as the person bends down near me.

When I look up I see that Austin, my 18 year old brother, pulls me into his arms, tears still continue to stream down my face as I hear the thunder crash. Every time the thunder gets louder, and louder I just wanna feel safe in my own home. Is that too much to ask for?

" Addy it's okay, take a deep breath, okay? "

He just holds me closer, I feel him pick me up and walk us over to the bed. He just holds me close. Someone else comes into my room but I don't look at who it is.

Austin just holds me and strokes my hair.

Moments later someone else comes into the room and pulls me into the room, as I look down I see that mom's wedding ring lies on her finger. I know for a fact that this is mom. I cling onto her like a baby koala, she runs her fingers through my hair and just tries to calm me down as I lay in her lap. A lamp is turned on in my room, I feel more safe now that there is light and my mom is holding me, along with my brothers are in my room too. I breathe in and out as my sobs die down and my body starts to feel normal again.

Yet I still keep my head down, and I just keep in against my mom's body. Her motherly scent just calms me and I'm glad it does because I was pretty much losing it, when the thunder has been crashing in the sky.

Mom whispers something to my two brothers and they both leave and they shut of the light above and now the only light that is left is the light of the lamp in the far corner of my room, my sobs turn into sniffles and my tears become less and less as time passes by, mom lays me back down and she tucks me back in, I give her a small smile as she brushes the hair out of my eyes.

I soon feel myself start to drift off as my body is now very tired, darkness soon takes me over as the last image I see, being the beautiful face of my loving mother. This is where I feel safe.

*the next day

My eyes slowly open as I see that Ryder is sitting right on my bed next to me just staring at me he gives me a slight smile as he sees my eyes flutter open. I see there lies a look of worry in his eyes, the only thing that runs through my mind is that mom must have told him about what happened. I'm glad she did though, knowing me I may have not been able to tell him, I may love him but I'm scared of telling anybody about my bad dreams.

Ryder pov-

Anna told me what happened with Addy last night or early this morning. I feel bad that I couldn't have been here but we're young and we shouldn't be sleeping together. Yet.

I lay down next to her and I stroke her hair as she looks into my eyes. Her beautiful gray just pulled me in as I looked at her. They always have, they remind me of the moon.

She gives me a bright smile as I stroke her side, and I just look at her, I no longer see the look of sadness that was there for about the last week. No, I see life and happiness, I see love and lust. I see want in her eyes.

We lay in bed for a few more hours and we ended up just watching a movie and enjoying each other's company. It's now 3 o'clock and I need to leave to go and get to work.

" Addy, I have to leave baby, I need to go to work okay? "

She just gives me a small nod as I get up, I give her a longing kiss and I then walk out of the room and I make my way home.

Addilyn pov-

Ryder had to leave a while ago and now I'm just laying on my floor and all of the sudden Bandit comes into my room. He's full of mud. I look at him and then sit up. He jumps on me covering me in mud. Then I chase him down stairs and he runs to our backyard, but before I go all the way out to the giant mud puddles I pick down of the mud off of the grass and I throw it at asher's head, he then turns around and looks at me but before he can catch me I take off running and I go back toward the mud. Next thing I know Axel is running next to me and so is Bandit.

We finally reach the mud puddles and we all start getting full of mud, we roll around in the mud. Austin picks me up and carefully throws me into one of the larger mud puddles.I giggle as i'm now full of mud, and when I say full I mean my underwear are proubley even full of mud. Yeah I know.

All 6 of us and Bandit are rolling around in the mud and messing around with each other. I'm put on top of Anthony's shoulders.

Axel climbs on top of Asher's shoulders and we start to chicken fight, I knock Axel off and he falls into the pit of mud. I giggle as he is now full of mud, his once blond hair is now a dark brown almost black looking color.

" AXEL, AUSTIN, ALEX, ANDERS, ANTHONY AND ADDILYN MILLER! "

We all turn our heads and we see that mom, Lola, Ryder, dad and Ryder's mom are all standing there watching us. We all give mom innocent smiles as she looks at us with anger burning in her eyes.

Bandit starts splashing in the mud again and pushes me down to where I'm now sitting on my knees, yeah mom looks very pissed. She really doesn't look too happy, but I mean come on we were having fun, right?

Mom starts walking over to where we are, being careful of the mud, we all stay down on the ground just looking at each other. Hehe, I don't think she is going to go easy on us, what so ever. Dad and the rest of them stand on the porch with amusing looks on their faces. I swear to god later I'm gonna smack that smirk off of Ryder's face. He won't see what's coming.

" Addilyn started it! ".

The boys all say this at once and I look at them with a scowl and then without a second thought I pick up a giant ball of mud and I throw it at Asher and it hits him right in the face. I snicker as I see the look on his face.

It's not a look full of anger, yet it's a look of a playful smirk. He picks up mud and throws it but before it can hit me in the face I move over and it hit's Axel smack dab right in the middle of the face. I let out another playful smirk as I saw that Axel was not expecting to get a face full of mud. And he definitely did not expect to get it in his mouth, but he had opened his mouth as soon as the mud was thrown.

" I swear to god, that wasn't far, why did you move ".

" Because I saw a chance and I took it, maybe you should pay more attention ax ".

He rolls his eyes as we all stand up. I blow my hair out of my face and mom now has a playful smirk on her face. I'm lucky I had my cast taken off about a week ago. Mom would have not been happy if my cast would have been full of mud.

I smirk again as we all start to make our way out of the mud pit.

We all stand here full of mud, it's pretty much dripping off of us. Mom crosses her arms in front of her chest, she gives us that montherly look of love but also an " I told you so " kinda look. But I can see why what we did was stupid, fun yet really stupid. I look down at Bandit as he sits on my foot, he looks up at me with a look that says " What did I do ".

" How are all of you supposed to get clean? The showers are inside and you're not going in my house like that ".

She says this to us as we all begin to walk inside, I look up and see that it starts to rain. Moments later it's pouring and the mud starts to come off of us and we become clean again.  Hehe now it's time for a LONG ass shower.

This was really fun and I would do it again a million times, if I could.

Ryder gives me a smirk as we all head in the house, yet I just roll my eyes and I head upstairs to my room, of course Lola follows me. As I walk into the bathroom and strip I hop into the shower and I let out a small chuckle as I see the mass amounts of mud wash down the drain.
