Chapter 8.

CHAPTER 8.

Elia and Vicente are now walking towards their room and starting today, they’re classmates now. Hashton told the head wizard about their agreement that’s why they agreed in transferring Vicente to Elia’s class to keep an eye on him.

“Are you sure that you’re okay now, master?” Vicente asked Elia and she nodded at him.

“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine and I’ve been resting for a whole day so, I’m okay.” She answered.

“Fine. Just don’t force yourself.” Vicente said while his face is turning red and Elia laughs softly.

“I’m really happy to have a butler now. Now I know what mom feels like every time mister Drago is doing everything for her.” Elia commented.

“I really want to know about Demonaire. I just really want to know why they want to wake that spirit up.” Vicente said.

“Superiority. As long as Demonaire is in their side, they are the strongest.” Elia answered.

“Demonaire is the strongest spirit, Vicente. Its strength isn’t a joke.”

“You saw its strength from the last time that we saw it, right?” Vicente nodded and he became serious.

“Even if the user isn’t in a good condition, it’s strength still remains. What more if the user is in a good condition…” Elia nodded.

“They wake my auntie up in a wrong time, that’s why she’s not in a right condition but, she’s still strong.”

“Tell me, did you already saw its full strength?” Elia shook her head as an answer.

“My auntie doesn’t want me to see it and I didn’t know why.” He nodded.

“I see… Now, I know.” He sighed then, they went inside the room and they saw Bryne and her friends bullying Shiloah again and she’s already crying in front of them.

“You’re the reason why Aphiscus didn’t come back anymore. You’re too useless.” Elia immediately went towards Bryne and slapped her across her face.

Bryne glared at her, while holding her red cheeks because of the sudden slap.

“What happened to Aphiscus has nothing to do with Shiloah. It’s not her fault, Bryne. If you didn’t force yourself to go to that place, he’s still be here.” Elia firmly commented.

“Who told you that you can just slap me?!”

“Just be thankful that it’s only a slap. You would cry more if I made you kneel on a pile of salt. One of the official punishment in Magique.”

“What’s happening here?” They all look at professor Bryan and Bryne’s face became more pale when he glares at her.

“Bryne and friends, got to the office. NOW!”  Bryne and her friends immediately went out of the room and Professor Bryan turned to look at Elia.

“I’ll take care of them. You take care of Ms. Montes.” Elia nodded and professor Bryan went out of the room.

Elia sat down beside Shiloah and wipe her tears away, but Shiloah can’t stop herself from crying. Vicente sat down beside Elia and just watch them quietly.

“Don’t believe them. It’s not your fault.” Elia whispered but Shiloah just walk out from the classroom.

Elia was about to follow Shiloah when Vicente stops her, and she look back at him. Vicente shook his head and Elia decided not to follow Shiloah anymore.

“Let her be alone for now. She needs sometime to be alone to clear all of her thoughts.” Elia nodded as agreement.

“Fine. I understand that, but I wish that she won’t blame herself for what happened.”

“Just trust her, master. She’s your friend and you should believe in her that she’ll be okay.” He commented gently and Elia nodded. She thought that he’s right after all… She should really trust her best friend.

Later on, Hashton went inside the room and a black carbuncle followed him while flying towards Elia.

“Eh? This is the first time that I saw a black carbuncle.” Elia commented and the black carbuncle went towards her.

“He’s so cute!” She hugs the carbuncle and pets his head. The carbuncle loves it and Elia kisses him on the head.

“That carbuncle is very rare for its color.” Vicente commented.

“Blackie? Blackie?” The carbuncle flies back to Hashton when he was called then, he lays down on Hashton’s head.

“Good morning, Class. I’m Hashton Mykluveign and I will be your professor in Mythical and Magical Beasts.” Hashton started.

“Let’s start the class by checking your attendance.” He grabs the lists of the students and starts calling everyone.

After checking the attendance, Hashton writes something on the board, but all of the students are noisy.

“Guys, please be quiet.” Elia stated but no one listened to her. She thought that she wouldn’t be surprised if her dad would also do the same things that Hudson always does when the class is noisy.

“Okay, get a piece of paper and we’ll be having a quiz.” All students fell silent, when Hashton stated that.

Elia grabs her paper and gave Vicente a piece. She writes her name on the paper and Vicente did the same.

“But sir, you didn’t teach us anything yet.”

“What?! There’s no discussion yet!”

“There’s no lesson! What topic will be the quiz all about?!”

All of the students asked those questions and Elia thought that she’s right about her father. He’s really Hudson’s little brother.

“Number 1…” They already started with the hard quiz and even Elia didn’t know the answers to the questions.

The quiz is already finished and out of 20 items, Elia got 10 correct answers while Vicente only got 5.

The most students got 0, they already kept quiet and listen to Hashton while discussing the topic in front of them.

“Can we use as a familiar the mythical or magical beasts?” Hashton asked his class.

“What do you think? Can we?” He asked again and call one of the students who raised her hand.

“For me professor, we can’t. Because they are too powerful and uncontrollable.” The student answered.

“Ms. Myklu- I mean, Ms. Crossevell, for you as a witch, can you or not?” He asked his daughter and Elia thought that her father wants to change her surname.

And, she thought that as his daughter, she has a right to use her father’s surname anyway.

“For us witches, we can. Strong or not, as long as they’re not going to absorb our fire of life, that’s fine.” Elia answered.

“For us ordinary wizards, that’s really impossible because of our limited powers.”

“While for the witches, they can. Because they can absorb every element from their surroundings.”

“When I was still a student here in the academy, I met this amazing girl.” All students screamed and cheer.

“She’s my partner, to be honest, I can’t accept that at first.” Hashton smiled sweetly and everyone screamed and cheer louder than before.

“She’s strong, bubbly, and sometimes annoying but she can make the academy go wild with her charm that she didn’t know.” He shook his head.

“What am I saying? This lesson isn’t about her.” He laughs softly to himself.

“This amazing girl that I’m talking about has a familiar dragon. Literally, a dragon.”

“That’s why when we first saw her familiar, all of us got threatened. There’s this one time that we had a practical exam.”

“We have to fight each other and she became my enemy that time. She used her dragon familiar against me and of course, I’m the one who lost.”

“Even though we didn’t manage to finish that fight, I know that I’m the one who lost between the two of us.” Hashton told them.

“Oh my god! I think I want to see a real life dragon!” One of the female students commented and everyone agrees with her.

Elia thought that it is Drago that Hashton was talking about because Drago is the one and only dragon familiar that her mom has, except if her mom has another dragon familiar that she didn’t know yet.

‘I think I should ask him soon if we saw each other again.’ Elia said at the back of her mind.
