Y/N P.O.V

Seeing a genuine smile on Taehyung's face was all I needed when he saw the gift I gave him. Taehyung said he has another birthday present for me (despite the gold necklace he gave me.) and all I am hoping for is that it's not too expensive. I follow him out of the SUV when we arrived in front of the building he lives in and I see that there is a brand new car in front of the building with a big red bow on the hood making it look like a present. Maybe someone is going to surprise their loved one.

Taehyung escorted me from his SUV towards the brand new car and asked while looking at it with a grin, "It's a nice car right?"

I glanced at Taehyung and nodded my head in agreement. "Y/N this is the surprise. It's your car!", he said with a sense of excitement in his voice.

 I was in shock. My eyes and mouth wide open at what I just heard. A car? How far can he go with buying me all these expensive things?! I stood there staring at the car; it was a very expensive car, one I'd never be able to afford.

"Y/N?"

"Is this some kind of a joke?" I questioned angrily, "Do you think I'm a joke? I know I can't afford expensive things like these but do ya think getting reminded of the fact I'm poor will make me feel better?!" 

"Y/N, no. That's not what I meant----" 

I cut him off rudely to continue what I was saying, "I know exactly what you mean! You give me these expensive things to make me realize that I have such a rich boyfriend while I'm just a needy, lowlife, pathetic girl!! That's what you want me to know right? Well I know it well and---"

Y/N P.O.V ends

Y/N's never-ending doubt was cut off when Taehyung joined his lips to hers to shut her off, but kindly. She didn't wanna let go of him but had to.

He stared at her teary eyes glowing like pearls, "What's wrong Y/N?" he wiped her tears away with a soft touch, "You have never reacted this way towards any other of my gifts."

Y/N struggled to let out the words but took a deep breath and whispered, but audible enough for him to hear, "I don't want all these luxuries Tae. All I want is you. You know I don't like it when you spend all this money just to make me happy because whenever you are beside me, I'm more than happy. You can doubt everything about me, but never doubt that I love you. I love you for being you, not for the money. Please!"

She buried her face in his chest while Taehyung gently patted her back to calm her down. He could feel his shirt getting wet because of Y/N's tears but he didn't mind that. He cupped her face to look at her and wipe her tears that he hated to see on her face.

"Y/N, I have never, not even for a second, doubted that you love me because I know you do. It's just that, I want to prove to you that you can trust me and the only better way I thought of was surprising you with gifts. But now I know that that was a wrong choice. I'm sorry Y/N. I never meant to make you feel that way because I have always thought of you as one of the most generous, beautiful and loving person ever."

"Tae I think of you the same and don't be sorry. I should've controlled my temper. But promise me not to spend more money on unnecessary gifts, please."

"I promise Y/N, but that doesn't mean I will stop buying gifts on special occasions because you bought this watch for me without a reason!"

"I bought this watch for you because you are always buying me gifts and I don't usually buy gifts for you and since this date was a special one, I also bought you a gift."

"This is honestly the best gift I have ever received. But I haven't forgotten about the car!"

"Damn it. I thought you'd forget due to the convo."

"Uh Uh. No way am I forgetting the car because I can't. I fought with another customer to get this car so you better sit in it right now and test it out. I know you can't drive so I will teach you!"

Y/N let out a deep sigh before agreeing to him unwillingly. She was kinda excited to learn how to drive but still feeling guilty. She followed Taehyung to her new black Lexus SUV.

Taehyung handed her the keys to unlock the car doors. He sat in the passenger seat while Y/N sat on the driver's seat.

"You have an elegant choice for a car Taehyung. I like the black leather interior."

"Since I know you like black, I thought I would get this car. It was the perfect one and the other customer was about to get it. The customer looked somewhat familiar."

"How did you get it though? Didn't the customer protest?!"

"Well you know my acting skills sooooo--" he looked at Y/N with a smirk on his thin lips, "anyways, let's learn to drive!"

She understood what he said and what snickerdoodles he must have done there so you didn't bother to ask. The rest of the night was you being mentored by Taehyung to learn to drive......

"That was fun!"

"It was. You were born to drive, Y/N. You were awesome on the road. BTW, your drivers license and all the other important stuff are in the car. Just be careful when driving and always follow the rules."

"I will, don't worry."

They were standing in front of Y/N's house door, doing nothing but staring at each other with eyes full of love until Y/N spoke, "Thank you Tae."

"No need to thank me Y/N. Instead, I am thankful to have you in my life."

They were slowly moving forward to kiss. Their faces were centimetres apart from each other until a huge thump startled them. The door opened revealing............
