Chapter 9: The Date

Y/N P.O.V [In the car]

The car ride was way too quiet. So quiet that only our breathing was heard. Getting sick of this silence, I decided to break it, "So, where are we going?"

Looking at Taehyung's face made me realize that he was very taken aback at my sudden outburst, but replied within a second with that famous boxy smile, "It's a surprise muffin."

Muffin? Did he just call me muffin? That's such a cute name. I have always wanted to call him Tae or Taehyungie, but I have never been able to. I'm way too shy for that. But on the other hand we've got Taehyung, the King of Romance. He always knows what to do to make my heart beat and does it with the utmost and sheer confidence. And there is me, who is such a wimp to even call him by a nickname. It's true I'm a tough girl, but I'm just weak for him.

Lostin my thoughts, I realized the car had stopped. I looked outside the window to get a view of the most fanciest restaurants ever. Oh boy. The lavish exterior of the restaurant directly indicated to me that this was going to be very expensive. I really don't like it when Taehyung spends all that money, just to make me happy. I have been against this from the very beginning and also complained to him about it, but of course, he always wins in the end and somehow shuts me up.

Taehyung was already out of the car and as soon as I was about to open the car door, he opened it for me instead. What a gentleman (Well he's always a gentleman so......). Taehyung held out his hand, waiting for mine to be in his. I embraced his hand with mine and carefully got out of the car so that my dress won't be ruined and took my purse with me. As we entered the restaurant, my jaw dropped at the elegant interior of it and how beautiful the detailed and intricate carvings in the wall were. It was absolutely breathtaking, but, way too expensive.

I hesitated to walk any further but was dragged alongside Taehyung until a boy in his 20's (I think) approached us and greeted us with a huge smile, "Good evening, Mr and Mrs Kim."

Huh? Mrs. Kim? Who's that?? After a few seconds of being confused made me realize that the waiter thought we were married. No way.

I opened my mouth to correct him but Taehyung looked at me with an evil smirk and spoke instead of me clearly indicating me to keep quiet, "Good evening. I had reserved a table for two. Is it ready?"

"Yes sir. It's all ready. If you could please just follow me."

"Great. Thank you."

"No need to thank me sir. It's my job."

Y/N P.O.V ENDS

After a while, the couple was seated on their reserved table. The waiter had brought them the menu but as soon as Y/N opened the menu she saw all the high prices for even the minimalist amount of food. "I would rather die than wasting Taehyung's money for a small piece of meat!" was all she was thinking about.

Y/N looked around the menu to find something cheap until Taehyung sweetly smiled at her and grabbed her attention by saying, "What will you have, Jagiya?"

Taehyung's delicate features soon turned into a frown after hearing Y/N's response.

Taehyung P.O.V

Soup?! Soup?! That's what she will have? I know my lady very well and she is worried that I'm wasting my money but uh uh. I won't allow her to starve to death because soup is literally just water! She will be hella hungry.

I smiled at the waiter who was eagerly waiting to take our order. Since I know my Y/N-ie likes sea food, I ordered smoked salmon with baked potatoes and Herbed Crème Fraîche. Hmmm such fancy names. Anyways, I got the same for myself and as soon as the waiter wrote down everything and left, my eyes met a sorrowful pair of eyes.

My eyes softened at the sight of seeing her this upset so I embraced her hand with mine and looked deep into her beautiful, hypnotic eyes. I tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her ear gently and said with a soft smile plastered on my lips, "Y/N please don't let this ruin your mood. I can't see you sad like this. Today is a very special day and I want to show you how much I love you and that you can trust me."

I could see her eyes welling up with tears, threatening to fall down any minute but she held them back and lightly pressed my hand, "Look Tae. I know you love me and I trust you with all my heart. It's just that I don't want you to waste money on me because my only happiness is you. All I want and will ever want is for you to stay by my side no matter what happens because I can't imagine a single day without you now."

Wow, just hearing her say all this made my heart flutter and start beating fast. All her words felt so heart-warming and honest. She's who I had always wanted in my life and now I can't even think of a life in which she isn't there because now her existence is the only reason my heart beats like crazy. We held each other's hands to look at one another to savor the moment. It was as if time was by our side and decided to stop so that we could have time to appreciate each other, until, we were interrupted by the waiter who had arrived with the food. Ugh, why couldn't he just be a few more minutes late?!

The dinner was amazing and Y/N had finally returned to her normal cheery self. She even said a joke! It wasn't really funny but if my girl expects me to laugh, I'll laugh like there is no tomorrow. She had made a joke about why we were eating chicken fries on Friday because it is Fry-day. Get it? No? Ha, me neither but whatever.

All that said, it's finally time to give Y/N her gift. She has no idea what it is but let's just say that it's, HUGE! We were back in my car after having dinner but before I started the car, Y/N told me she has something for me. I wonder it is. I hope it isn't too expensive. Hmm now I know how Y/N feels like when I buy her something expensive.

Taehyung P.O.V ENDS

Y/N had handed him a gift bag but before opening the gift she held his hand softly and said, "Tae thank you so much for everything you've done because if you hadn't appeared in my life, I would have lost meaning of everything. Thank you for showing me the importance of living." Taehyung was so happy to hear that he helped someone just with his nice actions and provided someone a purpose to live life to the fullest. 

He leaned closer to Y/N and pecked her forehead while she was too busy blushing. Taehyung chuckled at her cute behavior before opening the gift bag. There was a box and as soon as he saw the brand on top of the box he lightly gasped and looked at Y/N, shook, "Y/N tell me you didn't get me this." But she only smiled. He opened the box to take out the one and only, a ROLEX WATCH!! 

Taehyung couldn't wait and quickly tried it on with a huge grin on his face. "Looks good", Y/N said with a satisfied smile as she saw Taehyung so excited. He looked at Y/N and pressed his lips onto hers without a warning. She was shocked but immediately responded to his kiss. The kiss was passionate yet sweet. Their lips felt perfect against each other. Y/N wrapped her arms around his neck while Taehyung held her jawline into his hands, making the kiss more deep to take it to another level. They could feel the heat from one another's bodies and their short breaths melted in to each others mouths when they stopped to take some time to breathe, "Y/N I have something for you too."

Y/N simply nodded before sitting back on her seat properly, slightly shy about what just happened. Taehyung himself had a light red tint on his cheeks. Soon they were off to see the surprise for Y/N.
