Chapter 11: The Unplanned Meeting

They were gradually moving forward to kiss. Their faces were centimetres apart from each other until a powerful thump startled them. 

The door swung open to reveal Yoongi with a messed up mop of hair and a frightened expression on his small face. His puffy eyes indicated that he was just woken up from his beauty sleep, and the fact that he was wearing only one slipper definitely showed that he just came out of bed. Both of his hands were holding a baseball bat with a firm grip. He raised the baseball bat in the air and was about to hit Taehyung across the face but Y/N made a swift move and held the bat, restricting Taehyung from getting injured.

Yoongi let go of the bat when he saw the person holding the bat, "Y/N?"

"Yes, Oppa. It's me. Why would you carry a bat in your hands and then aim it right at my boyfriend's face?!"

"I'm sorry. I thought there was a thief or- wait. Did you just say boyfriend?"

She was doomed. So doomed. How can she possibly just blurt that out? Y/N had a flustered look on her face while Taehyung remained silent. But he was hella scared. Yoongi was the kind of guy who dealt with things with an open mind and didn't like to rush things in situations as delicate as these. 

Y/N was highly strung to answer his question, so she said whatever came to her mind, "B....boyfriend? Why would I say boyfriend? I mean, a boyfriend? C'mon bro....."

She instantly knew that he wasn't going to buy any of her excuses, so she stopped talking at all, but Yoongi remained calm. Relatively calm.

"Y/N, you get inside the house with your boyfriend right now."

She glanced at Taehyung, who looked back at her with a fearful look on his face. Both of them entered the house, followed by an expressionless Yoongi. 

He stood in front of the couple and ordered them, "Sit."

Both of them sat simultaneously in the couch behind them and didn't dare look up to Yoongi who was doing his sidewalk rage. When Y/N noticed, she moved to her side to whisper into Taehyung's ear with a hint of terror in her voice

"He is doing the sidewalk rage." 

"Is that bad?"

"YES! That means he is angry!!"

"Y/N, seriously. What have I done? Can't I just go back? Also, why does he look so familiar?"

"Taehyung, you aren't going anywhere. If we will die, we'll die together. And if you think he seems familiar, go and ask him before he chops your head off."

"Y/N stop scaring me and........."

He immediately froze when he heard Yoongi's voice, "Y/N go upstairs."

But the stubborn girl didn't budge at all, "Why Oppa?"

He sighed in frustration but held back the anger, "Go upstairs and change. I wanna talk to your boyfriend" he looked at Taehyung with eyes full of fury but Taehyung only looked back down with a confused gaze, "Now go Y/N."

"Fine. But if you do anything to him, I will kick your white sugar ass!"

"Yah! I'm older than you, but I'm proud. I have taught you well with those phrases. Now, scoot the boat."

Taehyung P.O.V

She looked at me with apologetic eyes, but soon her expression changed into the one I know very well. The "at least I don't get my butt kicked" expression. That brat. She left me alone with her brother, who I am very suspicious of.

 When I first saw him, he felt so familiar. Almost as if I know him. But the only thing I'm worried about for now is that, will he steal Y/N away from me? Will he take away the only thing I want in my life? Will he even accept me as a worthy boyfriend for her? There were a million questions in my head, but I didn't know the answers to any of them, because I wasn't sure if the answers I had were correct or not. I watched as Y/N slowly walked away, up the stairs and then fading out before my eyes. What if this means Y/N will fade away from my life just the same?

 I waited until he spoke with a raspy voice (maybe because he just woke up from his sleep), "Look. I will come straight to the point. I love my sister a lot and she is the only family I have. I expect you to take great care of her because she is very special." he took a deep breath before continuing "All my life, I tried to be a father, a mother, a considerate brother and a good friend towards her because she was just a kid when she lost her parents. I tried to take their place, but I know I can't. Because no one can take her parents' place. Not even me. So please, take care of her. The past has been really hard on her which is why she needs to be loved a lot. I hope you will consider my words important and look after her because if you don't, I will have no choice but to beat the living crap out of you."

The last part was not necessary, but I don't why I didn't feel scared anymore. Instead, my courage doubled the moment I started speaking.

"I get it. I understand the pain she went through, and I also understand the pain you went through. I lost my parents when I was young too, which is why I know how Y/N feels. I'm willing to help heal the wound in her heart. Look, sir, I deeply care about Y/N because I love her. And you're right. She is very special. She taught me the meaning to life and showed me that life is too short for regrets and worries. Y/N moulded me into a person I should've been a long time ago, which is the reason I love her. Because of her, I have become much more responsible and much more of a better person. I sincerely love her and I want our relationship to last and I hope you'll accept me as her boyfriend." 

I had let my heart do the talking, and all those words just poured out. I tried to read Yoongi's expression but it was very hard. He just stared at me. I wondered if he was happy and satisfied to hear the voice inside my heart, or was he angry and wanted to chop my head off, just like Y/N said. That jackanapes scared me a lot before leaving the room. But don't think I don't love her. She is a jackanape, but a charming and adorable one. 

I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more, but he never even said a word. Did he suddenly go mute, or is this his way of containing the anger inside him?

I intentionally let out a deep sigh which forced him to come out of his daydreams, or should I say nightdreams?

He finally spoke, "Taehyung, I trust you. Just keep my sister happy because she deserves all the joys of life. She never would have gotten back in the dating game, but to see her with you makes me think that she must trust you enough to be back in a relationship. I trust her judgement, so I have faith in you too. I expect a lot from you, okay?"

Did he just accept me? That was very surprising. I had no words to describe how I felt but a few of my jumbled up feelings were - happiness, confusion and relief. 

I stood up promptly to bow at him and thank him a few times. He got up from the chair in front of me and patted my back with a smile on his face. I still can't get the thought out of my head that I kinda know him. Should I ask him? Was he the one I fought with for the car? What if he cuts off my head knowing that guy was me? Does he remeber it was me? So lost in my thoughts, I didn't even realize Y/N walking down the stairs in her oversized hoodie, shorts and a bare face without any makeup which I love. Yoongi seemed to notice her as well so he turned around and removed his hand away from my back.

Y/N stood between me and her brother.

"So how did it go? Yoongi, you better not have threatened him with your bullshit."

"Relax! I like him but I have no idea if I threatened him. I don't remember what I told him so why don't you ask him yourself?"

She turned around to face me with her cute, dainty face.

"Tae, did he threaten you?"

I tried remembering what he said to me but then I retained what he had said at the end when he was talking to me,  'I hope you will consider my words important and look after her because if you don't, I will have no choice but to beat the living crap out of you.'

I was about to snitch on him but then I saw him glaring at me which caused me to say to my small bean, "Threaten? No, he didn't."

I noticed a victorious smirk on his face but then Y/N spoke, "Ok, I'm happy everything went well."

"How about you two lovebirds say goodbye to each other so I could go sleep because I have to wake up early for the job. You guys gotta go to school tomorrow too so go ahead and hug each other goodbye. No need to get touchy with your lips in front of me."

"Then leave this room Yoongi."

"Stop giving me commands. I'm not your dog!"

I awkwardly remained on my spot as I heard the yelling and bickering which is what most siblings do. Finally, they stopped fighting and as always, Y/N won the argument.

"Fine. I'll go. But no more than a peck. I'm watching you."

"Go, Yoongi!"

"Fine, but I'm watching you!"

Y/N sighed as Yoongi went to his room after throwing me a glare, but then she turned to face me with a smile.

I tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and said, "Everything went well Y/N. No one can stop me from loving you."

I moved onwards to lock our lips together. Her sweet lips felt so good against mine. I grabbed the backside of her neck to deepen the kiss as our hot breaths melted among each others. We continued to savour the moment until an object hit my head.

"JUST A PECK I SAID!!" 

I saw Yoongi with more pillows to throw at me. I pecked Y/N one last time and ran out of the house as quickly as possible. What an unplanned meeting!
