SEVENTEEN

KAILER

 I bursted  into fresh  tears after receiving hot resounding slaps from Mrs Jenifer,my shoulders heaved. My snobs and wails sounded terrible; more animal than the human. 

"Don't you dare weep in my house you devil,fuck both you and your dirty ass mother." Mr Asha yelled as he poured insults on me. Hatred,hot temper and darkness filled Mr Asha's lungs and as well as his pleural cavity.

 "Get out of my house little witch." He said in horror as I headed to the main door and I was hit hardly with a glass at the back as I felt blood dripping from my body and continued weeping as mucus also kept dripping from my nose endlessly.

 "And where do you think you are going Jeff?" Mr Asha questioned Jeff who was at the verge of running towards me .

Mr Asha clutched Jeff's arm,his fingers digging in painfully. 

"And forget it,you are not going to marry that child of of a witch,I don't care whether you love her or not,I believe Naisy is the best apart from this little witch you call Kailer,but still,make sure you find a girl to marry after three days, strictly three days son." With that Mr Asha left furiously.

 He  painfully watched Kailer as she exited the gate thought the window as his father was already walking out to his bedroom to join his wife.

 "Kailer what has your mother done to my parents as you are already suffering for it?" He muttered under his breath as hot tears began rolling down his cheeks.

NAISY

 "Hmm! I wonder when your sister will be visiting again." I teased Layla o was sitting beside me on bed.

"Naisy stop okay,Melliser is not my sister." She blurt out busy on my phone; only heavens know what she was doing.

"We shall see about that. So did you check your back?" I questioned her.

"Yes I did,and well I really do have that purple mark exactly on the spot you said it is on." She finally admitted.

 "So you still don't believe me when I say Melliser is your blood sister?" I asked staring at her as she also returned the look.

"Well,time will tell." She uttered and giggled.

 "And if she is really my sister,then I'm just gonna cut ties with you." She teased while we both bursted into a fist of laughter as I stuck my tongue out her. 

"You won't dare do tha......" I was interrupted by the cracking sound of the main door.

 "Let's go and check." I whispered to Layla as we tiptoed downstairs to the main door. 

"What,Kailer what happened?" I questioned as we rushed to her. "Kailer what happened? You are even bleeding on your back." Layla asked but she kept sniffing and sobbing endlessly as I and Layla kept exchanging looks.She embraced both of us tightly like she didn't wanna let go of us. 

"I think we should take her to her room,she needs to rest for now." I said while we empowered her to her room. As we got there we helped her bath,took out first aid and treated her wounds at her back then afterwards bandaged it. We tucked  her under the blanket and walked out to our room.

 "But what transpired at Jeff's house?" I asked Layla as we were done having freshening up.

"Let's wait,she will tell us what happened tomorrow."

 "Good night sister." I uttered as I pulled the duvet on both of us and drifted into a!deep slumber.

JEFF

It was in the morning at around 7:30am.I slowly stretched my arms and scrambled out of bed and headed to the bathroom. I did my hygiene process  and wore my black jean,white shirt along with the  black shoes then headed to the dining room while my mind was drowning in various deep thoughts about yesterday's scene. 

"Good morning son." Mom greeted with a smile as I reciprocated her greetings. I drew a chair and plumped on it. Mom prayed for our breakfast and both mom and dad started devouring their meal. I kept picking on my meal but none of them realized that.

 "Mom and dad." I called after clearing my throat.

 "Yes?" They replied in unison.

 "Care to explain what yesterday was all about?" I enquired. Mom looked at dad who gave him a go ahead look. 

THE FLASHBACK 

JENIFER 

I and my husband Asha lived on the streets, wondering about so as to get some means of food to survive. I got pregnant with twins. It bothered us even more since we were not even working.

 "I think you should go talk to your friend Meliser on what we should do." My husband said. I went to Meliser and told her about my twins and asked for her help,she said I should lend her my twin girl she will take care of her and give her back to me when we finally pick ourselves up, and we agreed. My baby girl was taken and I had to raise only Jeff up. After three years when Jeff; my son was five years,we got ourselves and started building and owning  many companies . I then informed Meliser to bring back my child but she said she was kidnapped and she doesn't think she is still alive wherever she is. She kept hiring people so as to kidnap Jeff when he was young but she did not succeed. And since then all the numbers we had; which belonged to her were no longer reachable and she changed her stay as we did the same also by coming to this country. 

BACK TO THE PRESENT 

JEFF

 I sniffed back the tears as mom was already weeping.Dad's face was covered with sadness and I could sense the pains he felt deep down as he kept patting mum at the back trying to console her. 

"Mom do you think she still remembers me?" I asked in tears. 

" yes my son. Have you ever seen her ever since you started dating her daughter?"Mom questioned. 

"No mom,whenever I visit Kailer I don't get to see her,and Kailer keeps telling me that she has travelled, otherwise at work." I sincerely replied.

 "Son,make sure you find a girl after three days,you are now only left with two days to get a girl." Dad reminded me. 

"And make sure that you stay away from that girl,I don't want Meliser to know that you are still alive and we also live in the the same country she stays in. I don't wanna lose you just like I lost your twin sister,take care of yourself son." Mom primped as her lips were shaking because of fear.

 "I will do that and I will be careful.I'm off to work." I uttered and kissed mom on a forehead and gave dad I tight hug,grabbed my phone along with the car keys and set off to work. I got to my company and headed straight to my office. 

"How could I fall in love with a girl whose mother took my twin sister away?she is a fucked up witch,I so damn wonder if my sister is still alive or not. I have to cut ties with Kailer right away,but if I do will I still be able to take vengeance  on them? I should be thinking about Naisy right  now; whether she will accept my proposal or not." I thought to myself as I rested my back on a chair. I took my office phone and called my receptionist.

 "Hello boss." Arifa answered.

"I want you to call the number I'm gonna give to you now,and make sure that you don't mention my name,tell her that you are Romeo's receptionist and also tell her she needs to be here right away." I instructed her.

 "Okay boss,done work." Arifa said and hung up.

 "Time to retaliate as well as to act smart again." I said to myself as I chuckled.
