EVE
It was 7:00am when my eyes fluttered open and saw my mom sitting on bed beside me.
"Mom" I uttered with a sleepy voice.
"My baby,see we don't have anything to eat,and your dad is not yet back,why don't you go to that new company maybe God will help you and you will get hired?" Mom said.
"Mom,I don't think I will ever be accepted in that huge company,and remember its not just a company, its a ZILLIONAIRE'S company mom,that guy wound hire a girl like me." I poured sitting up straight on bed.
"But my child go and try your luck okay?" Mom pleaded.
"Okay mom,I will get prepared." I finally agreed and mom's face was now covered with a wide smile.
"That's my girl ." Mom crooned.She pecked my cheek and set off to the kitchen. I rushed to my bathroom,had a hot bath and then wore my purple skirt and a cream white blouse,arranged my hair into a ponytail and joined mom in the sitting room to eat yesterday's leftovers for breakfast.
MELLISER
"I think I should visit Daniel today so as to convince him that I have really changed,I want us to become good friends." I thought to myself after doing some check ups concerning the company mum handed to me so as to run it. I walked out of my apartment,hopped into my car.I later on started the engine and drove to Romeo's apartment. As soon as I got there I halt the car outside the gate.I shut the door after alighting,then headed to the gate as I saw it being opened. It revealed Daniel who sent me a cold glare.
"Are you going to let me in?" I said with a soft voice.
"Arrgggh! of course come in." He paved a way for me as i got in then he shut the gate.
"We can have a chat in the apartment if you don't mind." Daniel said not even sparing me a look.
"Yes I don't mind." I replied as I dangled behind him until we got into the house.
"Have a sit." He said as we got to the sitting room.
"Wow! The house is so damn squeaky clean.its just like Romeo is still living here." I confessed.
"Yes it has to be because I'm the one cleaning it since the owner is gone." He replied.
"Good work,and I do miss Romeo a lot although I didn't truly love him,but I'm ready to find out who did this dirty work of killing him." I sobbed.
"Don't worry,the truth shall be revealed soon."
"So Daniel,I hope you thought about what I said when I was here,please just give me a chance to clear my mistakes and let me be your friend,please. I need to turn on the new clean page." I pleaded with my head lowered.
"Its okay,I comprehend." He replied.
"What?does that mean you accept my friend request and my apology?" I squealed as I averted my gaze at him.
"Hmmm." He cleared his throat."look Melliser,anyone living in this world deserves to be forgiven so that God can forgive us also,so I have no right to judge and hate you,I really thought about what you said that day and I have decided to give you a chance to be my good friend,I know that you will never disappoint or turn me down,so I have forgiven you,and we are friends from now until......"he explained.
"Until death do us part." I teased as he pinched my left cheek and I giggled.
"Why are your cheeks red?" He asked trying to maintain a serious face.
"Me?no way,why would I blush?and don't you dare think I have feelings for you,never." I replied boldly; even though I wasn't really sure about what I just said to him.
"Never say never Melliser,anyway welcome to my world." He said jocularly and I smiled.
"Care for our friendship hug?" He asked.
"Of course." He smiled as I flung my arms around him.
ADAM
"Dude,you have a visitor who is looking for a job." Anand;my brother said after banging into my office.
"You don't have manners,do you?" I asked pretending to be angry at him.
"Adam,drop the act and talk to that lady looking for a job." He said sitting on a couch.
"Is she gorgeous?" I asked.
"Are you asking because you want me to fall in love with her or?" He enquired.
"Argggh! I'm asking for my sake." I said as he shot me a dead look.
"Seems like you have forgotten that the seven last relationships you had didn't last for even a week,so dude stop dating.If you date I know very well that after a week you are gonna lose interest in it and you are hurting this girls man." My brother reminded me.
"Yes you have got a point,especially when I know very well the reason why my relationships don't last,but brother,do you think I will ever find her again?" I questioned.
"Yes,your heart throb is your only heart throb,and if you guys were meant to be together then you will find her,and one other thing;the connection between both of you is the strongest ever,because here you are now,not even able to move on." He primped as I just shrugged.
"Thanks bro."
"That's what brothers are for."he shot.
"So about the girl,we need another receptionist,so tell her to come for an interview tomorrow,and you will be the one to interview her because I'm going out of the country for a week remember?" I said.
"Yes,to check on your other companies,a ZILLIONAIRE guy." He smirked.
"And you are really lucky to have me as your little brother." I teased as we bursted into a fist laughter.
