Chapter 10 Vipers can bite back

Sophia was in the hospital for weeks but Riley just awoken from her coma. Sophia has been video chatting Lucas and texting him constantly. Lucas has been distracted at work more often and everyone can see it including Joey.

To Joey's dismay he failed to cripple Sophia permanently but it give Aurora chances to get closer to Lucas. Essentially he was kicking the horse while it was down and when he meant horse he meant Sophia. Joey deliberately brung Aurora in to work with him and try to get her to Lucas as close as possible but it hasn't been effective each day.

"Joey, what is the meaning of this? You keep brining Aurora over and over again." stated Lucas as he pointed at Aurora hiding behind Joey. "Didn't I say Aurora is not allowed in this company, again!?"

"Lucas, did you forget Aurora is also capable at running a company?" Joey sneered with confidence. 

"Aurora, is not mentally stable plus Sophia is suppose to be presenting today. She said she will come just for today to present. Lucas stated as he wave Joey away.

Joey face contained a look of dismay as he watched Aurora step up to Lucas. What spell this enchantress, Sophia, casted on him? Was it because in technicality Sophia grew up with Lucas and he is showing affection to her now?

"Lucas I can still present! What will the partner companies think if you let that girl still present? They'll think we don't treat our employees good!" Didn't I take a bullet for this company because of a bad deal!" Aurora blurted out as she tried her hardest to pursued Lucas. Lucas however wasn't going to budge. He knew that Aurora just wanted his approval to be back in his life one way or another. But Aurora had the audacity to say "Our employees" and "I took a bullet".

"Aurora, you dare to bring up that you save this company when you arrange that meeting." Lucas face had disgust showing as he reorganized the papers he wanted to give to Shopia but at that moment he slightly crumpled the paper to show how disgusted he was.

He knew what Aurora did to the company while he was gone in europe and he will never forgive her. As Aurora bit her nail in disdain and Joey glared at Lucas.

"You don't need to present, I have this covered." Sophia smirked when she was wheeled into the office by Kiara who glared at Joey as she walked pass him.

"Kiara, briefed me on our clients and how they wanted to buy a phone from our very first technology based servers." 

Sophia smiled as she revealed the folder. Kiara briefly smiled at Joey when she saw his frustration. It was satisfying but she wanted to push Joey down the stairs herself for revenge of what happened to Riley.

"Sophia, you're in a wheelchair! How are you going to present!? Are you not ashamed?" Joey clenched his teeth midway through his sentence as he clenched his fist as he stared down at the young girl.

"Hmph, ashamed? It's just dedication!" Sophia chuckled swiftly as she was happy with her slight victory of keeping Aurora from presenting.

Sophia never thought that a girl like Aurora was this devious and cunning when Kiara explained how Aurora was. If she ran the company before but succeed briefly before her downfall. What if Aurora corrupted the meeting and made a shady deal behind Lucas back, again. Both of these ideas run inside of Sophia's and Lucas head.

"My dear, the meeting is about to start. Let's go." Lucas walked pass Aurora with Sophia and Kiara in tow not even saying a word to Aurora on the way out.

Aurora trembled again and knocked some stuff off of Lucas desk as he saw a picture frame showing Lucas holding Sophia's hand during the party.

"You're paying for whatever you broke!"

Aurora screamed louder as Joey watched her mental breakdown as he slowly slouched in a chair as he rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Why does that stupid Sophia get everything! Even when we put her in a wheelchair, she gets everything. I want her dead!"

"Aurora, becareful...You don't know who's listening." Joey said calmly as he watched Aurora walked towards him with a pout then she slumped next to him.

"I don't care! I just want to be close to Lucas. I could be in luxury forever!" 

"Didn't you attempt to burn Lucas down with him in the mansion after you guys slept together."

"Yeah, but I just wanted his money but now I can't bare to see him with other woman. That fucking Sophia was lucky as fuck!"

As Aurora scrolled through her phone she saw the news headlines and saw that Dream Corp, the Elderedge company, was also apart of the meeting and press conference the next day.

She texted Alexander real quick then smirked while putting her phone away.

Alexander was waiting in a meeting room along with the Hilton's as they look disappointed at Eve who looked nervous she was their 1st Choice to succeed a secured partnership with Carter Corp and their hopes was instead placed into Kiara who managed to already secure a spot.

'Embarrass Sophia if you can. She's' -Aurora.

Alexander lookes at his phone briefly then put it away as soon as Lucas, Kiara and Sophia came in. Kiara looked surprised her parents were among the many partnerships that join usually it's Eve who occupy their spot. Sophia smiled at her father who was glaring at Alexander. 

"Let's start this meeting. Let's get  down to business." Sophia wheeled herself to the computer. "Carter Corp, has designed many smart vehicle prior to us inventing phones, tables and computer protoypes."

Sophia plugged in the USB and clap the lights off. As she revealed the phone design. Alexander tap his finger on the table as he watched Sophia present. He never knew this girl could build up confidence in such a short amount of time.

"The design is sleek and fits in the palm of the hand. It had all the designs of a normal phone but it can do more such as translate all kinds of languages, 4k camera, use it as a car key, start and will reverse your car for you, equipped with waterproof encasing up to 500 feet. Also it's security features are top- notched."

Sophia displayed the PowerPoint and the key components of the phone and snapped her fingers to demonstrate the phone with the the accessories.

"Not only does it connect to Bluetooth jewelry such as as watch bracelet for females and a luxury watch for males. Smart glasses in unisex format and it has a holographic camera for of a short span of 5 meters for the background."

Alexander smirked and huffed in doubt. As he looked around the phone.

"What do you mean a holographic feature? Alexander smirk and arrogance grew as he struggle with the phone.

"Yeah, where is it?" Eve stated as she flipped the phone around.

"Simply the side button then call whomever you want. Call Riley." Sophia talked into the phone with confidence then a holographic projector of Riley in the hospital bed appeared on the phone.

"Hi, Sophia." Riley smiled as she waved back.

"As you see, the design is flawless no phone in this world has this kind of advance technology." stated Sophia as she put the phone down and glare up.

Alexander was astonished to see that Sophia could be professional in a business matter. His mother told him Sophia would not survive in the business world but that was obviously a lie.

'That's my baby girl.'  Lucas smirked to himself as he clapped. "Do we have a deal?" Lucas walked up and pet Sophia's head as she smiled up at him.

Everyone nodded and clapped but Alexander was looking a bit hesitant as he glared at Sophia. "How can I be sure this phone will do it's job? Any flaws or anything?" Alexander looked up with a confident smirk as he examined the phone.

"Of course, every product has it's flaws." Sophia proudly admitted as she give Kiara the phone so she can chat with Riley outside.

"What do you think, Mr.Elderedge?" Sophia gave a sassy cheeky smile to Alexander.
