Chapter 4 Blame it on the Ex

In the morning Sophia woke up to a ruffled blouse with a pencil skirt on the bed with black heels trimmed with gold. All three clothing items cost over 10,000$ these branded clothes were for her. She never liked shopping at very high-end stores but her mother loved shopping for clothes worth thousands of dollars. 

"Are these for me?" She quickly turned to the maids by her side who waited patiently.

"Yes, Ms.Alder." Both maids said simultaneously as they both courtsey.

"Please leave me, I'll get dress." Sophia smiled briefly at the maids.

Sophia came down the stairs in the outfit with her makeup done but it gave off a slightly mature vibe which caused Lucas to look up quickly. Sophia looked more like a wife but he was hopping for something a little cuter to her look. 

"Oh, you look adorable, baby." Lucas smiled grabbing her hands and smiling. "But wear this white bow behind your head. you look much more adorable." 

Lucas pull out a bow with Company/Family newfound crest on it signifying, Sophia, is his and his fiancée. 

"If I caught anyone causes you trouble in the office, they will be fired immediately." Lucas peered over Sophia's face stealing a kiss.

"Now let's have breakfest."

Sophia and Lucas were sitting awkwardly at the table. Lucas marveling at Sophia and Sophia keeping to herself by sipping the orange juice constantly as she finish her breakfest.

"Sir, it's time to go. I have the young misses phone ready." stated the same maid as she present a sleek pink Iphone with an adorable case and charms.

"Sophia meet me in the car. I'll quickly get something from the study" Lucas walked over to the maid as Sophia takes the phone and walked towards the car.

"Ok, Lucas." Sophia winked as she takes her seat in the car. Lucas waited until Sophia was out of earshot as he walked in with the maid.

"Did you put a tracking device in it?"

"Of course sir."

-At the Elderedge residence-

Sara Elderedge was throwing plates and throwing items as her temper grew.

"My stupid son ruined our family!" screamed Sara as she smashed the plates and vases. She watched the stocks of the family go down slowly. "Bring my son and that useless trash woman in here!"

As Alexander and Jasmine walked in, Sara lunge for Jasmine. Sara was infuriated if it wasn't for Jasmine Carson the Elderedge family would have been richer and if it wasn't for Lucas Carter interferring their stocks wouldn't drop so harshly. She saw barely no fault in her own son.

"You whore, you caused our family grievence, years of sweat and work is gone!" She grabbed Jasmine hair and started beating her as Alexander try to plead with his mother.

"Alexander! Alexander help!!"  sobbed Jasmine as she tried prying off Sara's fingers as she dragged her out the room.

"Mom, please Jasmine was just minding her own business. I fell for her and she had nothing to do with what happened! Stop beating her mom!" Alexander exclaimed as he try to softly speak to his mother to please her anger.

Sara couldn't control her rage as she kept dragging Jasmine and throwing her into the basement managing to break Jasmine's leg in the process.

"A toy will always be a toy to please a man with money! Son, you fell in love with a gold digger! Could have married Sophia, no you want this slut! She's not even from a creditable family! She's not an elite! We made rumors of the Alder family being poor but we were actually poor and now the world knows thanks to you and this slut!" Sara turned from Alexander and looked towards Jasmine who was whimpering in pain. Blood pooled around her waist as she gripped it crying.

"Jasmine?!" Alexander ran down the stairs to Jasmine side. "Why is she bleeding?!"

Sara changed her posture then glared at Alexander and Jasmine. Sara sighed then crossed her arms.

"Mom, answer me!" Alexander pleaded with his mom as he held Jasmine.

"Son, she was pregnant. she probably miscarried. All this wouldn't happen if you stayed by Sophia's side and been loyal! After that you could do what you wanted! Grab that slut and apologize to Sophia somehow to see if she can help us! " Sara huffed then walked away to leave the couple alone to go talk to her husband and other family members.

'Sophia this! Sophia that! Sophia Alder and Lucas Carter I won't let you off!' Alexander picked up Jasmine who was trembling from blood lost.

'Sophia Alder, I won't let you off! You caused me to miscarriage!' Jasmine cried as she gripped on to Alexander's shirt as he ran out the villa and waved the first car down to be driven up.

As Alexander drove to the hospital as he stopped by a light he saw Sophia and Lucas walking into an office building holding hands. Alexander frowned and pulled up to them angerily. Alexander arrogance was showing as he stepped out the car running into the lobby.

"Sir, you can't come into the lobby like this, this is a private company!"

"Sophia Alder! Apologize to Jasmine, now!" 

"Are you insane, Alexander Elderedge! Did anyone tell you and your toy to have a child?! I never caused a miscarriage! I didn't even know Jasmine was pregnant!" Sophia hissed as she tried to break free of Alexander's grip.

"Lies, you guys were best friends-"

Alexander hissed back.

As he grabbed Sophia's wrist causing a bruise. As Lucas strong grip caused Alexander to let Sophia go.

"Excuse me, Sophia is not your woman anymore she is mine! What did she had to do with Jasmine? She was with me when that miscarriage happened. You lunatic you must have caused her miscarriage and blamed Sophia. All you want to do is blame Sophia for you misfortune you arrogant bastard! Get the hell out of my company!" 

Lucas yelled at Alexander causing him to look like a dog with his tail between his legs. Alexander sighed in defeat as rumors and gossip whispered as he walked back out the building with security following behind.

"Everyone! Get back to work! If anyone bring this incident up again they will be fired!" yelled Lucas as he held Sophia closely and bringing her to the private elevator handing her a blank card.

"This is one of my office cards, if anyone is giving you a hard time. You know where to find me, sweetheart. This is your office, too." Lucas hugged Sophia as she cried in his jacket. Good thing, he sprung for waterproof makeup for. He shuffled into the elevator with her as she hid her face into his coat more.

"You don't have to work today, I'll let Joey handle your work take an advil if you need to and relax in my office." Lucas pat her head as she looked up at him teary eyed.
