Chapter 3: Getting stronger Pt. 1

2020-08-20 00:42:04Oza still stuck in the dungeon for god knows how long he's been in that throne room while he was trapped he figured out most of the system that suddenly gave him the quest..
'The Network.. that acts like a game hub.. in this modern age of technology it really isn't something i'm not familiar with.. danario is one of the more advanced cities' oza did his thinking pose but deadpanned "it's cool and all.. but how the heck do i get out of here?!"
This whole ordeal still confused oza but his simple conclusion that the network was the one talking to him and now he's a real life RPG character.. while he was thinking a pop up appeared showing him he had a new quest..

"Sequence quest huh and four of them.. got nothing better to do anyway.. but how do i get out.."
Oza looked around the throne room and figured going to the big throne where thamuz sat.. up close it was bigger..
"If my right.. please be a secret door.. please be a secret door" He pushed the surprisingly light throne and what was behind was a pathway "Yay secret door."
Oza went through the passage way.. it was a long walk when he passed a certain distance a certain tingle went through his whole body he ignored the weird sensation and continued.. he arrived at the other side to see a bunch of monsters were there..
"You have got to be kidding me.." the monsters didn't sense him yet so he decided to get ready.. "Hub"
Oza went to his clothes and saw the armor set and check their stats

Before he could check his stats the saber tooth monsters finally noticed him.. they growled at him making him take up a battle stance holding both his dagger and long sword..
"Let's do this.."
Oza dashed forward the horde of saber tooth's with the intent to kill them.. slicing and decapitating all of them one by one.. The sheer numbers of the monsters were almost to much but oza pushed past it and killed all of them after what felt like hours.. he sat among the corpses of the saber tooth's catching he breath..
"How.. Long.. was i fighting.."
Oza then called out his hub and opened his stats and examined it thoroughly

"All my stats increased by 6? So each level up increases it by 2 huh.. i'll save up the points for now.. i can handle these monsters pretty easily.. but.. the next problem.. is what's up ahead i can feel a pretty intense aura .. i haven't gotten any sleep yet.. i should really rest up.. for now.."
Oza then rested and soon the darkness took over and he was finally asleep.. Oza then had a dream so realistic he thought it was real...
"Where am i.."
"You're in your mind." oza frantically looked around but saw no one..
"Who's there? Show yourself!"
"I'm the network and i do not have an appearance."
"So your a ghost or something?"
"I can be whatever you may think.. My image is up to your imagination"
"So.. i'll get to the point.. why did i suddenly get these weird abilities?"
"I don't know myself.. You humans are open to the best change when you hit your all time low.. So maybe you being granted the access to the network was your way of saying you wanted to change."
"I.. i was betrayed.. by my best friend who i loved like a brother.."
"Yes.. human emotions are quite complicated but.. if he was able to pick himself instead of helping you isn't that a normal reaction in a life or death situation."
"You're not wrong network.. but betrayal is betrayal.. in their desperation to escape they sacrificed me.. And they said it was some prank at first.. maybe they were going to lock me up in the room from the start.."
"Well.. i'm not a human.. but you can at the very least.. put your trust in me."
"But you're just some system that suddenly appeared?"
"Yes but i appeared because you wanted to."
Oza thought about it and the network did help him even if he did all the work killing thamuz..
"So.. you don't have an appearance right? Can you show up outside of my mind or something?"
"Well you haven't tried so who knows."
"Very well.. i'll trust you for now network.. but if i give you a name and appearance will that be alright?"
"Yes it would make things easier for the both of us."
"Alright then.."
Oza thought hard on an appearance and name for his soon to be companion..
"How about.. ali? it's play on the word allies and you would look like.."
Oza then imagined ali's appearance.. and when he got the image he then saw a blond girl with short hair, green eyes, fairly tall and wearing a black suit.. ali looked at her appearance and smiled..
"You have no taste in fashion oza.."
"Hey it was the best thing i could think of.. so what else can you do?"
"I believe i can be your automated hub and only you can see me.. so you don't have to worry about people suspecting who i am."
"Sweet.. now.. let's get fighting.. i think there's a monster beyond where i was sleeping.."
"as you wish."
Everything soon faded and oza was back to where he was.. he looked around and didn't see ali anywhere..
"Ali?" suddenly a bunch of blue pixels formed and boom ali was right there in front of oza "That's weird."
"That was necessary it took a while to appear here."
"Right so i'll be fighting now i'll call out to you again if anything happens.." oza started walking towards the doorway but ali stopped him..
"Wait.. this place isn't the same as the throne room.. it's an event dungeon."
"Event dungeon? what do you mean?"
"Remember that weird tingly feeling you experienced walking over here?"
"Yeah..?"
"That was a trigger and in order to escape this place you have to beat the boss in that room."
"Great.. another boss fight.. I still can't wrap my head around this whole game like thing that's happening to me.. well let's go ali."
"Yes oza."
The two walked towards the doorway and on what they saw was the boss.. a figure with a hood resembling the appearance of an assassin.. and above it's head was it's name and level..

Suddenly a pop up appeared in front of oza..

completing quest will also grant the player a way out!

"Don't have a choice do i?"
"No you don't.. The boss is twelve levels above you but killing the boss will properly progress your sequence quest.. and your jack-of-all-trades class will come in handy"
"And why is that?"
"Any skill he may use you will able to learn it."
"alright then i'll ask you more about it wish me luck ali."
Ali nodded disappeared into blue pixels and oza hit the accept button and suddenly the boss looked directly at him
"Ah damn.. here we go again."
Oza drew both his dagger and sword and got in his stance prepared to fight.. and alta drew both his daggers as well preparing for the clash
"Come!"
They both dashed towards one another ready to kill each other..

Gabriela and ori just watched as oza went head to head with arthur in his rage filled state."He's keeping up with arthur like it's nothing..""Yes but i must not miss the chance he gives me."They both watched in ah at oza's amazing skill as a fighter. Oza was keeping up the best he could but with each passing second arthur's hits were getting heavier and harder to predict. In the blink of an eye oza was hit so hard he flew towards a wall leaving a dent as he slid down. Blood coming down his head covering half his vision."Oza you only have 1,500 hp left you must now be more cautious.""how.. long.. dd we have.." he said in between pants as arthur let out another roar.."About three minute survive till the he'll be at his strongest but when his mana is depleted he'll be at his weakest.""Roger that.. Gabriela get ready!"she nodded and once again oza stood face to face against arthur, he snarled at oza who smirked in response.

Oza was unconscious but gabriela ran towards him while ori who arrived just in time to hold off arthur. Gabriela eventually found oza collapsed and bleeding out without any time to waste she go to healing oza"Please.. hold on oza."With oza he was in a tranquil place water beneath his feet, a cool gentle breeze brushing up against his skin, and an unless beautiful view.. Oza felt at peace being there only made him want to stay.. then he heard a very familiar voice.."Ali?" In a dark cave lit with flames a monster stood over dozens of dead bodies.. it let out a deafening screech while destroying the pillars of rocks that held that structure.. it soon killed it's final victim then a purple beam of light shot of into the sky.. in the small town where oza was staying everyone was enjoying their nightly routine some drinking and some just casually strolling around.. there in the outskirts of town a portal flickered on and off but disappeared as soon as the townsfolk went to check on it.. in the inn where oza was staying at he felt a great sense of magical pressure"Ali did you also sense that?" blue pixels appeared beside oza and ali appeared.."Yes it was a strange feeling of unusual magic similar to that of an event dungeon..
