Confessions

Everything was on the track, i love being busy. Family perfect. Classes perfect. Inner-peace at its peak. Confidence high. 

Mumma and I went to our salon after she came back, i highlighted my hairs, now my dark brown hairs have golden streaks. (15days have been past since she came back).

Everything was fine except for one person. Kevin. He was acting strange. Not visible strange but something was up.

 I was not regular in the classes past few days. Every night we talked for hours and whenever i would say that I won't be at college tomorrow he would get furious.

Today, I woke up and along with me woke up the mischievous child. I texted him.

Me- Morning sunshine.

Kevin- Good morning lazy bug.

Me- umm… i have to meet a friend today.

Kevin- Ohhh!! That means you won't be with me after college? 

Me- I am not coming today.

Kevin- What? Your attendance is way too low. Are you planning to fail this semester or what?

Me- 😒😒

Kevin- Fine do whatever you want to do.

Me- yes. Take care.🖤

I was definitely going to college. I just wanted to see his expression. 

I walked towards the Lr. 19. He was sitting on the first bench with armaan, with pissed off face. Lecture already started 10mins ago. I walked towards the class.

He saw me and i saw his facial expressions change. Now he was smiling widely, ear to ear. He tried to give me the angry look but couldn't. The moment was precious.

I walked in and sat on the last bench. He texted me immediately.

Kevin- you are going to pay for this.

Me- lol 😂 

Me- you should have looked at your face😂.

He looked at me furiously from the first bench. He had 'the game is on' face. I laughed.

We paid attention in the class. He didn't talked to me the whole day, not even in lunch break. 

During lunch break he just came and sat beside me. Didn't uttered a word. The remaining of us, me raaj, armaan and carol kept talking.

"Its high time now, exams exams exams... module test 1, CIAs, module test 2, orals, seminars, internal practical, and few others" said raaj.

"Well, now we only have internal practicals and external exams" said carol.

"Yeah, and i am freaking out" said raaj.

I stayed quite. Me and kevin were actually talking through eyes. Me laughing and he making annoyed faces.

After few days our internal exams completed….

"Last internal completed. Now 20 days vacation.By the way, thanks for notes and also for the help in practical exam. I can't believe you risked to fail to help me" he said stretching his hands.

"External exams are just round the corner mister. And this is diwali vacation for me but study vacation for you. Prepare for your atkts"

"Yeah. You will be in goa, huh!" 

"Yeah for that, i promised to help you with notes, but make sure you sent me syllabus soon coz then i will be busy with guests and festival and i have to go shopping." 

"Mmmmm.... And i will be busy with my shoots. I got new contracts"

I fished out my keys "syllabus. As soon as possible."  I pointed finger on his nose.

"Are you leaving already?" He asked.

"Yeah. You want me to stay?" I asked.

"Obviously, common your hot chocolate is waiting." He took keys from me and started driving to the café. 

I loved the hot chocolate of a nearby cafe and he loved the pasta. Every Wednesday we used to go to that café.

30 mins in the café,

"Stop staring at me" I said taking a long sip of my drink.

"Its pure happiness. Just look at your face. You are blushing. Who the hell blushes over a drink?" He laughed.

"ME." I said.

He looked at me for so long and so intense that it was now making me feel uncomfortable.

"What?!" 

"I want to confess something" he said holding my hand.

"O--okaayyyy" this was getting serious now.

"I like you" he said.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "This is it?" I asked.

"What do you mean. It took a hell of courage to say that." He explained.

"I already know that." I said casually.

"Wait, what? " He said.

"Ummm..hmmm" i got back to my drink.

"No no no" he took the cup from my hand and placed away.  Holding my hands tightly he said, " Kavya, i like you. Really. You don't understand. You are on my mind the whole day." 

"I know that too" i said." And you are hurting my hands now" 

"How do you know that?" He said leaving my hands.

"Its pretty much clear. Your face is expressive babe." I explained.

"Okayyy...so?" He asked.

"I like you too but are we sure? I mean may be its because we spent a lot of time together" i explained.

"Kavya…." he started speaking but then stopped. He was frustrated. He was disappointed. 

"And you talk a lot about the girl under the sky, your ex. I don't wanna be your 'getting over my past' fling" i spoke calmly.

"No no no. I am over her. And you are not just a fling. I talk about her because i feel guilty for what i did, its not like i am still into her."

We sat in silence for a while and then left.
