' my subconscious reprimanded me.I took a deep breath before raising up my head just in time to catch the sight a tall guy who took gentle and yet proud strides to a chair beside the window
My eyes followed his careful gaits, he walked like he was some model who the world revolved around. His gait drew so much attention to him that I couldn't help wondering what he was feeling like. soon enough, I found myself following his every movement. He drew his chair backwards before sitting down and occasionally typing on his phone, his side view was handsome and something about him made me feel tingles around me...
Stop it cassie you have a boyfriend!! My subconscious reprimanded me again as I snapped out of my thoughts with a sigh before taking a sip of my smoothie
" am so sorry Babe....I came late " Sam said quickly as he sat down opposite me.his eyes held sincere apologies and I knew that minute that if I wanted to be angry, I would probably fail woefully at it
" obviously Sam you did " I reply instead as he sighed
" yeah am sorry....so have you had anything babe ? "He asked and I smiled
" yeah...smoothies "
" you okay with it? "
" yep..how about you? What do you want ? "
" nah am fine..." he replied and I didn't budge further. We were silent for a second before I breathed in then bringing my face abit closer to meet his, I called with a smile
" so Sam....today is our anniversary yunno " I started as he shrugged
" yeah " he replied simply. I waited for him to say something else but as usual he had more important things to think about than me
" yeah?! "I asked quite pissed
" I mean....I know okay ! It's just that I don't know how to tell you these "he replied as I leaned futher in my chair gently touching his arms
" tell me what?"
He sighed deeply " cassie you are smart, beautiful and nice....you actually are the best girlfriend I ever dated " he began and I felt my cheeks flush up in excitement as I smiled shyly
" you are special cassie but I don't think we could work anymore "
Okay pause. What the hell does he mean
" why? What happened? Why do you say that ? " I asked all at once as suddenly felt my heart skip a bit as if scared of the unknown
" gosh cassie! I mean...I don't have feelings anymore for you.... I think I like someone else and...and besides am not the best person for you meera I don't deserve you "
" are...you...breaking...up..with...me..?" I asked in a whisper as my voice broke down yet I made sure I held my tears. He just couldn't see me cry
" seriously cassie am sorry even though I have no reason to do this to you am just so...."
"Who is she?" I asked cutting his bullcrap
" I like yetunde " he replied bluntly making me spill my smoothie on his outfit as I took a deep breath, making sure my eyes were still being loyal by blinking back tears which were on the brink of pouring out my eyes. I held back my tears so I don't breakdown in a crying mess
" now you have a reason to break up with me " I say.moving my chairs back, I angrily storm out with tears trying to blurr my vision making me bump into an unknown figure
" are you alright? " he asked as I snubbed him not looking back for a second. I ordered an uber and found my way home.all along in anger as his words kept replaying itself in my head.
