Did I scare her?

Jerry drives for one hour fifteen minute everyday to the suburb in other to have meal at warm restaurant. He did not find it stressful so far he will get see his love. He did not have the opportunity to talk much with her.

 For the past two weeks now, he visit as a normal VIP customer. He has decided to take things slow, he won't want to scare her away. He believes something terrible must have happened to her for to take refuge here with all her records clear off as if she did not exist in this world in the first place. 

Susan that he knows was arrogant, saucy and bad temper, and the one he meet now was gentle, full of smiles and nice. He wonder what will change her this much. Anyways, he love both sides of hers.  He did not care if she is arrogant or nice, what he just want is to make her his wife whether by crook or by hook. Jerry lean in his chair with his eyes closed with all the thought on his mind. 

Assistant Matt looked at his boss from the passenger seat, he shook his head. He has a problem dealing with his boss everyday, he wonder what will make him come this far distance to eat lunch everyday . A lot of work are left undone but who is he to question his boss. If this continues he will turn old too soon. " may be I should just resign." He murmur to himself.

"If you are tired of your work just forward the letter as soon as possible so I can train another person. " Jerry said without opening his eyes.

Matt nearly choke on his saliva, his back stiff. He can not believe his boss heard him. He shiver in his seat. He wanted to bit off his tongue, if he resign now, where will he get a good paying job like this. He looked at the driver but the latter just shrugged and concentrate on driving.

"...B..bo...boss, am sorry , I didn't mean that. I was just talking about random things." Matt said with difficult.

Jerry just wave his hands in dismissal. Deep down he was laughing, he can not believe he have this effect on his assistant. He just closed his eyes to take a nap, Matt must have believe he was sleeping when he talked. 

He shook his head inwardly. It will take him time to get someone as competent as him. He just said that to scare him and for him to learn how to keep his opinion to himself next time.

They arrive at the restaurant five minutes later. Jerry led the way as if he own the place to his favourite private room. He has called in advance.

Matt follow closely behind him. This is the first time he follow him here but he want to find out the reason behind his visit today that he tag along. He look at the surroundings, everything is clean and peaceful but he did not see anything special about the place.

When they entered the private room, the three of them sit down comfortably. Jerry usually treat all of them equally, that they sometimes eat at the same table when they are alone like this. He might be ruthless and cold but he has a gentle side too. The waiter take their orders in no time, the food ordered are served. 

Jerry did not touch his food. He continue to play with his cutleries. He stare at the door as if waiting for someone to enter.  His subordinate share a look, they don't understand why he is not eating his food.

 They bury their faces in the plate to continue eating.  Jerry face blossom into a beautiful smile when the person he has been waiting for comes in with their drinks. He has been waiting just to catch a glimpse of her face hence he will not be able to eat this food . The assistant and the driver looked up to see him smiling like an idiot. 

They couldn't believe their eyes when they saw their stoic CEO smiling. They could not believe he can still smile , they were mesmerized with the beautiful smile. They wonder what moved him greatly like this. 

Matt look at the door to see the person he was laughing at. Matt choked on his food, when he saw the person that came in with a beautiful smile. Not only is she beautiful and carry herself with elegance she look so much like the person in his boss photo album. 

He mistakingly saw the album when he went to get something in his office. He knows Jerry always look at her pictures secretly but the day he saw the full collage he slapped himself for calling her ugly. She is even more beautiful in person. 

Am I hallucinating? or in a dream?  The same smile, same face and same shape. What could she be doing here? I heard she is a CEO at country A ? is the boss obsessions up to this?, did he look for someone with the same face?  or is she her twins? series of questions run in Matt's head that want to make him crazy. The voice of the driver brought him out of his thought " are you a baby that you will be choking on your food like this?"  the driver was oblivious to what is going on he just continue to pat him on the back. 

Jerry shot Matt a glare that want to make him pee in his pant. He lower his head. " Sorry boss...". he turn to the driver  " Thank you, am OK now!."  The latter nod his head and continue his food. 

Susan put the wine on the table and return his smile. "This is the wine you ordered sir." 

" Thank you." Jerry said to her while he started eating his food.

" You are welcome sir. Do enjoy your meal." she said before she turn to leave.

" what is your name miss?" he asked with a smile.

Susan back stiff, her hand on the door shook. She is afraid to tell anybody her name. If she will prefer, she will prefer to live her life alone and not have any connection with anybody. From what she heard this man is one of the ruthless tycoon in this country Although he is gentle with her but she know he is cold. Why did he suddenly asking for her name. If she could remember very well this is not his first time here. Why asking for her name??? " S.....U...Susan " She stuttered.

Jerry know he makes her uncomfortable with the question . He did not push it but just nod his head.

Matt did not know what is going on, curiosity is killing him but he dare not asks for fear of losing his head. He remember the angry gaze he shot him a while ago. He finished his food and excuse himself. Staying in the same place with his boss is suffocating.

The driver also excuse himself leaving Jerry alone.

"Matt did you noticed the boss smile just now?" the driver asked with curiosity.

" Yes and why do you ask?"

"  I just noticed he smiled when the lady came in."

Matt paused before he turned to him. Thou he is also curious about some things, he can not tell anybody anything. "  I don't know that. He answered  feigning innocent.

" You will not know that when you yourself got carried away with her beauty" The driver said teasingly.

Matt face turn red in shame. " I don't know what you are talking about." He continue to walk without waiting for him to embarrassed him further.

" She will not fall for a mere assistant like you. You better stop day dreaming" He tease him once again.

Matt decided to ignore him. If only he knows how shock he is. He has confirmed she is the same person the boss is in love with. He is the only one that know how important she is to their boss. Who is he to think of that anyway.

Jerry comes out of the restaurant looking gloomy.

He has waited more than the usual just to see her again but it seems she ran away. May be she is attending to another customer. He felt a hand squeezing his heart at the taught of her working as a waitress. What should have be the problem? He thought. 

" I will find out everything." Jerry said to himself.

Matt can feel the aura surrounding his boss. Now he understand why he always come here for lunch everyday, but he looks happy just now. What could have be the problem just now? He shrugged.

Jerry sat at the back seat in a very bad mood. He did not know if asking her name scared her. He is very sure that it has something to do with it. He  decided to stop coming here for the time been. He closed his eyes and take a nap. 

The ride back to office was very quiet with everyone to their thought.
