Looking for my wife

Susan wipe her tears. She sat alone on the small bed available.  It has been four months now that kelvin has left her in this strange country with no family. She has been supporting herself with the little income she generate as a waitress.

 Everything is strange she has no identity she has to avoid looking for trouble so as not to get hold by the police( not that she is a trouble maker thou) and this place ,she look around the house and sigh. She can not imagine her life like this in the next five years talk less of four month. She did not even know where her mother is.

 She might have died of poison with no one to care for her. At the thought of losing her mother, she burst into another round  of wailing. Life has been very difficult for her in this country. Apart from going on a business trip in few other countries,she has not been to this place before . 

Thou country F is a peaceful and nice country she did not have any interest in admiring the serenity . She is just concern about how to survive right now or better still how to live, she has promise herself to live so she can revenge on those that hurt her( she shook her head at the thought. that is not the right thing now). 

Susan stood up from her bed been brooding will not help her at all. She dress up and get ready for work. She is now has meek as a lamb but with a wit like a Lion. 

 Thirty minutes later she find herself at Warm restaurant. Warm restaurant is one of the biggest restaurant that deals with local dishes. It is located a the other end of the city a little far away from the busy city.

 She closed her eyes and exhale sharply. She need to get herself together before she enter. everyone here like her effectiveness, she will not want any problem from her nasty boss because of her mood. Everything is not easy for her at the moment having an encounter with that scary boss of hers will compound her problem. 

She has been the only one that is ready to employ a stranger with no means of  identification. She entered to get ready for  work immediately while chanting survival in her heart.

"Good morning Mrs Andrews." Susan great her boss respectfully when she entered the changing room.

" oh Susan, how are you? " Mrs Andrews asked with a bright smile.

Susan looked at her not understanding what is going on, she furrow her brow trying to count how many times her boss as smiled at her since her six weeks of working here.

" Am fine. thank you ma." she answered and continue to change her cloth after she is done she opened the door to find her boss still waiting at the door. She frown. Now she knows something is definitely wrong with her boss. 

" Susan.... I have been waiting for you to finish changing. "

Susan panicked to hear that. She searched her mind to see if she has unknowingly offend her boss. She suddenly knelt before her.

" Am sorry boss. Please forgive me. I don't know if I have offend you or not just don't send me away. I don't have anywhere to go please. " She pleaded with sincerity.

Mrs Andrews was confused, she did not say she want to send her away. Did she look Scarry or petty to scare her employee like this. Her Heart melt . She pity her so much, so she can't do that to her.

"  Susan! come on stand up!. I am not doing anything of such. Stand up and stop embarrassing me."

" are you sure you are not sacking me? " she asked in a worry tone.

" am not. why should I do such when you have help me greatly in improving my business. or am I that petty to you?."  Mrs Andrews answered slightly annoyed.

" Am sorry boss. It just that... I don't know if I can survive if you send me away. no one will employ me." Susan answered dejectedly. She always feel melancholy at the thought alone but she did not blame them at all.

" I know my dear. Put your mind at rest. I just want to inform you that our restaurant will be receiving one of the great business tycoon in our country, he want to hold business meeting with some of his partners. They chose this place because of our local delicacies,so... I want you to be available so you can serve them well." 

Susan shiver at the mentioning of a business meeting, thou she has met a lot of people while working here, but she will not want to meet anyone that recognise her . She did not remember if she had any deal with any company from this country.

" MA!, can you find someone else, please? " Susan asked cautiously.

" Am sorry Susan . I perfectly understand your fear but you are one of my most trusted worker so I want you to do this for me. It will improve our reputation. If everything goes right I promise you a bonus" Mrs Andrews said happily.

Susan's eyes bright at the mention of bonus. God knows she needs more money. She nod her head to signal she has agreed.

" Thank you " her boss said leaving her alone.

Susan look at her boss retreating figure, she pat her chest and smile in self mockery. She imagine if that is the effect she has on her own employee too. "SIGH"

" I need to stop thinking about it or else my hair will turn grey soon" she said to her self before she start going about her business.

 At about on o' clock in the afternoon, the private room they booked is well decorated and clean. Susan supervised everything and make sure they are in order. not long after that her boss called her to inform her about the arrival of their guest. 

" Susan, is everything ready ?" Mrs Andrews asked in haste.

" Yes ma"

" Good, I heard they are at the parking lot. I want to receive them. just wait here to serve them. 

Susan  who has her back at the door when the men came in. She turn to look at the person by the door. She was shocked to see a pair of long legs in a very pant. She looked up to meet the owners eyes. She was mesmerised by the pair of black beautiful eyes and  black hair. She felt a kind of feelings she has never felt before even when she was still with that devil. Susan quickly compose her self and chilled herself internally . ( This is not the right thing.)

" You are welcome sir, please have a seat" She said with a beautiful smile.

Jerry that was talking on the phone when he entered just now did not know the effect he has on poor Susan. He tilted his head to the direction of the voice.  He was shocked. He could not believe who he is seeing right now. It can not be. The person he thought that is dead is right in front of him and in his country." Is she a ghost" he murmured to himself.

Susan felt shiver at his intense gaze that did not leave her face. She guiltily lower her head. She thought he caught her looking at him earlier. She pray to God in her mind that this strange and cold man will not report her. 

Jerry pull himself out of his world when he saw her bowing her head. He could feel she is afraid of his look. He did not know if he had  scared her. Now that she is in his country, he must make sure she never leave whether ghost or not.

He smile brightly at the men with him as all of them take their seat. The men stare at him not believing he just smile. That had their meeting and Susan stood nearby to serve them well. She was at their beck and call. At the end of their meeting, all of them praised her for her diligence. She smiled at them, not knowing that someone is eating a jar of vinegar at her simple gesture . At the end of the days work her boss praised her well and she received the bonus as promised. Susan was in a great mood for the extra cash. She pray they all come by next time .

Her week gone by in a blink. She lived her life as a routine, home to work and work to home.

The day after his meeting at Warm restaurant. Jerry has flown to Australia for an emergency business trip. He was so busy that he did not call home more than twice. He want to rush home so he can find his wife and make her his. He returned after five days. 

The first thing he did is to call his friend for help. He needed to know her where about, probably her house. He will pretend he came there to look for someone.

 He was smiling at his own thought. No one will believe their coldblooded boss is thinking about this but he was disappointed to find out the person with the name is not in their country or let's say does not exist . He was so baffled " how could it be?, I heard it clearly when someone call her Susan and I know it, she is my Sissy. She is my Susan! how can she not exist" he asked himself in frustration.

She is so near yet too far. He return home, he needed to rest and tidy up his work before he started OPERATION LOOK FOR MY WIFE .
