I will comfort y*u!

May be sensing her uneasiness after sharing a meal with her for a few days, Jerry decide to take things slow again. That did not stop him from dropping her off for almost two weeks now she has been working with him, he must say she is quite hardworking woman she has change his impression of seeing her as a spoilt brat. He sigh to himself and massage his temple. 

He made a mental note to call back Matt from his vacation there is an urgent issue he needed him to handle at the branch office in country Y. He did not want to leave Susan alone.

 He was not happy seeing Susan going to the cafeteria with John and the way other male colleagues look at her make his blood boil. He was still thinking when his personal phone rang on the table, picked  it to see it is Peter calling from the other line, he picked it up and put it on hand free. " Hello Pete, what can I do for you now that you call me out of blue?" 

" Chilax guy, can't I call you again? more so you are the one that refuse to call us when you have your beauty beside you now." Peter countered.

  " Are you probably jealous of me? You should get yourself one two instead of poking your nose in another man's affair."  The two continue to banter over the phone without care in the world.          

   " Jerry, there is an important issue I need to discuss with you."

 " Sure go ahead." 

  " You remember the series of test we carried out when she i s hospitalize? " Jerry did not need to ask who he is taking about.   " Yes, I remember and I asked you about the result two weeks ago but you refuse to answer me. Thou I have decide to arrange another hospital for the test again but am just looking for a way to go about it. Why sudden change of heart now?"

 " Am sorry I did not inform you then because I don't see any reason then to discuss my patient information with you then....."

   " Really? if you don't discuss with me who will you discuss it with? have you forgotten how important she is to me?" 

   " I know! that is why  after much consideration I decided to talk to you about it. First I need to ask you this..... are you sure you want to spend the rest of your life with her?" Jerry was startle with the question he did not expect that coming at all.

" Yes, yes and yes! You know i can do anything for her. why are you asking that all of the sudden." Peter sigh from the end of the line. " Guy, this thing I want to tell you, I want you to take care of her. I don't know thou but I have this feeling that she will not do something that will hurt herself...." 

" Peter you are killing me! can't you go straight to the point.?"

 " The CT scan we carried out on her shows she has a little fracture on her skull. It is not a fresh one but it was not too long ago. Which means she was seriously wounded not long ago....." 

   " What!? what can we do about it,please?"

 " That is not all my friend just listen to me OK! Her body shows she has a large amount of birth control pills in her system. That was why I said she can't possibly ingest that herself but someone fed her that. In a nutshell she will have a little delay in conceiving except her but get rid of the drugs herself as it is now we don't know the type of drug she was given. What I can think of now is to recommend some thing that will boost her fertility. " 

" OK, what will she do to boost her fertility and the fracture?" 

" It is not much. She just need to eat a lot of protein get from plant, reduce sugar, exercise in moderation, less stress and using of supplement like vitamin A,B6,D, C and Calcium to say the least and for the fracture most of it  heal by itself in no time since it is not much . Don't worry yourself but I suggest we check on her every time to see the healing progress thou." 

" Thank you very much Peter. Please I want you to keep this information safe.". 

   " Don't worry your head lover boy your secret is safe with me. Don't forget Susan is also my friend and I won't do anything that will hurt her." Peter talk a little with him and said his goodbye. Jerry was very angry after he drop the call. He was angry at himself for been a coward and for given the bastard that hurt her the chance. He was fuming with rage at the thought of someone feeding her with birth control pill that is likely to prevent her from conceiving and someone wounded her to such extent to leave her with a fracture skull. His face look gloomy and red. His heart twinge in pain.

Susan hand froze on the door of his office she has heart all his conversation about her. She drop the files she carry on her table and rushed to the restroom. She crouched at a corner with her head on her knee and bawled her eyes out.

 She did not need anyone to tell her who fed her the pill but mere thought of that brought her extreme pain. 

The more the pain she felt the more her thirst for revenge. She cried until she lost all her energy. She manage to stand up and work up to the sink but the statement said by Jerry rang in her head. ' you know how important she is to me .' she murmured to herself. Now she have her answer on her hunch. He was the one that saved her that day but why will he do that? what did he want from her? why did he choose her? series of question was playing on her head. 

    She did not know if she is really ready to have anything to do with any body. She has a lot in her bucket list than to think of that. Whatever reason he is helping her is left to him. She washed her face and leave the restroom. 

  She open the door to his office, she was relieved to see his absence. She placed the files on the table and turn to leave. She was tensed when she collide with a broad chest. She look up to see Jerry face. Jerry look at her puffed eyes and he knows she might have cried. He guess she might have heard his conversation with Peter.

   He has called her earlier to bring some file to him. Subconsciously  he pull her closer to himself " Don't worry Sussy, I will wipe your tears. Just give me chance to comfort you. " He whispered in her ear. Susan stiff in his embrace,  she feel some kind of joy hearing that from him . She could only nod her head and pull out of his embrace.  Her mind is in a mess hearing his confident in wiping her tears even if he did not know anything about her.

Jerry went to his seat and close his eyes, he feel so relax inhaling her natural scent.
