She is dead. Chap 24

Richy corporations

Everyone was in panic. They don't know what happened to their boss. everywhere was awfully quiet, they don't understand , the higher up even refuse to say anything. 

They are all missing their diligent, kind but arrogant boss. Suddenly they all heard a beeping sound on their phones, out of curiosity they take out their phones to check what is going on. They noticed it is a notification of new news on their company forum.

 They are all busy checking out the news hopefully it will be the news of their boss. Thou it is her news but it is a very shocking news. Many of the employees widen their eyes in astonishment on the news , they could not believe such news not in this life. Some minutes later another information pop up on their news. it is a notification of emergency meeting. Everyone stop what they were doing to join the meeting. They want to know if the news is true or not.

In the meeting room B 

Every one of them assemble. They gathered in twos and threes whispering amidst themselves. The stakeholders are shifting uncomfortably in their seats. The directors are sweating profusely they can not make head out of the personal text they received.

All the noise quiet down when the vice chairman entered with Bob. They all want to confirm the news.

"Good day every one. we are sorry for this impromptu meeting, I hope by now you all are bothered by the sudden disappearance of the chairman Mrs Susan Kelly Richard or I rather say Miss Richards...." (all the employee gasped in disbelieve they don't understand a thing. what is Mr Bob saying? They all have same thought .)

" I know you all are eager to confirm the news on the company intranet....." he paused deliberately to peak their interest . All the workers sat straight to be able to hear the news very well.

".....She ( he take out his handkerchief to wipe the tears that escape from his eyes) has left me."

All the employees open their eyes wide they believe they has misheard.

"She left me, as you all know I have been looking for her for five days now but just this morning.....(wiping tears) I stumble upon the envelop she left me.....in the envelop is her handwriting resignation letter, divorce papers and... loan forms . After my findings I find out she obtained a loan of one hundred billion dollars from harmony bank using her houses including her mothers as collateral. She even defraud the company the sum of fifty billion dollars leaving the company with huge debt not only that her aged mother." Bob stopped his monologue with sobbing.

Some of the employee believed him and took pity on him, they all know she is good for nothing spoilt brat( they judged her because of their own sentiment) while some knew their boss will not do a thing like that they have so many confidence in her. ( They know something is wrong somewhere) but everyone just digest the news, no one asked any questions because it is too personal. The meeting was dismissed leaving everyone puzzled. 

After every junior employees left the meeting room, the meeting was left with the  directors and the stakeholders. They all frown their faces. They can not accept this, they can not let their capital go to waste. They are not ready to service any debt they know nothing about.

Bob cleared his throat before he started to address them " I know everyone one must be thinking on what to do about the debt she left the company .....(silence)"

" I have discuss at length with my family including her mother ( Mrs Richard) we all agreed that the company will marge with the Jk Holdings (Kelly's family company) in order to uplift the company from this stage, to complete all the projects at hand and more so I will not want what my father in law laboured for go to waste.....but to achieve that we need to layoff some of the employees in order to manage the little amount we have now..... So I want all the directors to go back to your offices and compile the list of those you think we can dismissed. While we are at that, I will be managing the company to keep of on track, and please I will beg all of you to keep my secret safe, I will not want anyone to spread rumor about my wife disappearance. If you are not satisfied with anything you can resign and if you think you want to play smart then... Thank you" With that said he stood up and leave the room before they could all react.

The stakeholders and directors just look at his departing back, they opened their mouth to talk but they quickly shut it when some bulky men  entered to emphasis the latter part of Bob sentence into their ears. 

" You all are under monitoring if a word go out about miss Susan or anything related to the company.  You are all dead" the men left leaving the older men in a daze.

The men in the meeting can not believe what just happened. First Bob made his decision without given them room to contribute( which has never happened before) secondly he has to monitor them because of what happened to his wife. For goodness sake why will he has to do that. Now they all doubt if Susan really ran away with their money or everything is fabricated but they all keep their thought to themselves.

Bob did not know that his simple action has left a seed of doubt in the men's heart but they can not complain because of their own safety.

Two days earlier

  outside Richards mansion

...Emily sat in her car in deep thought with her phone on her lap. She was thinking about the solution Felix has. 

" Hello Felix, can you tell me about the solution please!!!)  Emily asked with worry tone.

" Emy, I have confirmed with my old friend that will help us, he is ready to help but it will cost us money." Felix said.

" like how much are we talking about?"

" The amount he asked is huge. I don't know if we will be able to raised that between five hours."

"Just tell me the amount I can do anything, please!! we have to act fast before anything happened to her please!"

...sigh...." he want one hundred million dollars, he has many people he want to settle to be able to help us."

" one hundred million! that's huge! I will see what I can do. when did he need it?"

" preferably in five hours. we need to act fast Emy. I will forward the pictures he sent to you now, so you know what to do."

Felix dropped the call , a minute later he sent images of Susan to her phone.

Emily covered her mouth , tears flooded like dam from her eyes. She can not believe this is Susan . Her body is covered with bruises and bloody, eyes swollen, hand print on her cheek. She look unrecognized.

Emily sat there for almost fifteen minutes thinking on where to gather the money. She needed to safe her fast.

After three hours, she called Felix " Hello Felix can we meet up now, I have the money with me."

" no, Emy we can't meet. I don't want anyone spot us together am afraid you are been followed. " Felix said with a sigh.

Emily run her temple, she can feel headache coming, she thought as much. She is not surprise,she has felt it. She has noticed someone following her but now that Felix mentioned it, it confirmed her suspicion.

" Okay, let's make a plan on what to do and get back to me fast, I am counting on you dude." She disconnect the call  and zoom off.

In the warehouse

" Bob please! don't kill my mother" Susan pleaded almost breathlessly.

The  live video of her mother is still playing on the tablet he is holding. Bob signal one of his boys to lose the rope on her hand. Susan hand drop to her side like a jelly.

" Now take this pen and sign the transfer, the divorce papers to crown it all you will write a resignation letter . If you do all that I will call the mansion to take away the tea cup. So.....the choice is yours." Bob said with a smirk

All the necessary document are placed in front of her with a pen and a plain sheet.

Susan eyes are glue to the screen, she took the pen and signed all the papers and write the resignation letter as told. Immediately she drop the pen she looked at the screen but too late... " no,no,no,no mum!!!!no don't drink it! Bob please! I have done everything you asked please! don't let my mother drink it . nooooooooooooooooo!" Susan screamed at the top of her lungs when her mother empty the cup. She continue to bawl . She knows she has lost everything right there .

Bob stood at the corner looking at everything like a drama. He packed up his document and make to leave the place. He stopped when he heard Susan's voice.

"You are a devil Bob,despite everything we have done or your family, why did you have to do all this?. No that you have all you want just let me go!!" Susan yelled at him.

Bob turn to face her and laughed.

" I wanted to let you go before but for what you have said, yes! your family has done so many for us. isn't that why you are so arrogant?......I have changed my mind boys don't do anything to her just kill her and dump her body in a river,where no one will find her " He turn and went outside as he opened the car he hopped in ...boom!.... he heard the sound of gun firing . He picked his phone to call one of them" she is dead" said the one on the other end

He started his car with a satisfied smile hanged on his lips. He drove off humming a sweet song.
