At Richy corporations

 Life has been going on smoothly in the company for Susan but her marriage life has is a mess. The gap between the couple has deteriorated awfully. 

Thou Susan made up her mind to let things be for now but she can not just help been worry. Its a week now that he came home. Susan has not been herself, she slept late almost every night waiting for Bob to come home but he never showed up. She sat on the couch in her office listlessly. She reminisce about her past with Betty her lips curve into a beautiful smile. 

She determine in her mind that she will visit her friend after work tomorrow today been Thursday for girls night out at least she need to move out of the shell she created for herself and to celebrate her twenty - seventh birthday with her friend. 

She knows she is the only person apart from her mother that love her genuinely. She has not visit her friend for almost a month now ever since she moved out of their home three month now she has only visit her twice. 

Her thought was interrupt with the ringing of her phone, she picked it up when she notice it was her mother in-law calling. She lean her back on the chair to receive the call. 

"Hello mother. How have you been ma? am sorry ma. Ok, I will visit this weekend then. See you. Regards to Daddy. " She disconnect the call. 

She did not have the mind to do this before but now her going to her in law this weekend she will tattle tale about Bob so they can help in settling their dispute amicably, she did not want to worry her mother about all this. She knows she will feel bad for her but right now she did not need pity what she needed most is to have a peaceful home like her parents.

 What her husband want from her is a bit difficult to do he want her to stay at home and focus on child bearing while she handed over the company to him to manage. She did not plan to hand her company to anybody she want to achieve everything her father could not achieve before his  untimely death not even after his warning.

 Talking about child, she did not understand what is delaying her in having a child of her own.  Her routine check up shows she is perfectly fine including Bob but Gods time is the best she believed. She has to be patient and wait His time. She caress her stomach longingly she also want a mini version of herself running around. She smiled when she imagine someone calling her mummy.

Knock! knock! knock! the knocking on the door made her to snap back to reality. She sigh before inviting whosoever at the door inside.

"Come in !"she murmur

Emily came in reluctantly ; "good afternoon madam."

"Afternoon Emy ,is there any problem? or do I still have an appointment? "Susan asked her assistant when she noticed her reluctance.

"No ma' am ! You don't have any appointment but I want to discuss something with you ma " ; Emily answered while avoiding her boss direct gaze.

"Are you sure you are OK? do you want leave or something? or are you feeling unwell?"

 Susan throw series of question towards her assistant she can not avoid anything to happen to her. She is too competent part from that she just love her so much like a sister she never had.

 "No ma, I don't have any problem whatsoever "; Emily replied with a shaking head she is amuse who would have thought her boss is a worrywart. 

Susan sigh in relieve when she heard she is OK.

"ma' am, can you please give me five minute audience ?" ; Emily asked almost pleading

" OK, Susan sat upright and gesture for her to seat comfortably ; Emily please be free to tell me what is on your mind. I don't like this your fidgeting attitude it's unlike you."

Emily sat opposite her boss deep in thought fighting her internal battle whether to tell her boss or not but she made up her mind to tell her anyways since she is here already. She looked up directly into Susan's eyes with pure determination. She did not care what will happen afterwards. 

"Ma'am am sorry to do this but this is the least I can do to show my appreciation towards you. Am sorry once again to invade your privacy but I can't help it. I can't continue to watch you suffer in silence."

Susan tremble internally but her expression did not change ( did she know anything about my marriage life? Is it obvious that am not happy with my husband or did anyone know anything?  All sought of questions pop in her mind  but she must not show her secret even if she know something I will just denied it she thought inwardly).

"Miss Susan before I say anything you have to promise me that you will not be mad at me and to take what I want to tell you light?" Emily lower her head looking at the envelop she is holding.

"OK I promise, just go ahead and say what you want to say." Susan said.

Emily opened the envelop she is holding and brought out the stack of photographs handed it to her confused boss.

Susan looked at her with a raised brow ;" Emy, what do I do with all this photos?"

"Please look at the photos ma." Emily said.

Susan look at the photographs wide eye not believing what she saw. She closed her eyes opened it again but the image of her husband and her best friend hugging each other still stare back to her. she put it down look at the second one, her husband kissing Betty her cloth half done and her thigh exposed   She raise her head to look at Emily but the later just lower her head

She took the third photo, she could not believe it the hand holding the photo tremble slightly, all kind of emotion pass through her eyes pain, betrayal anger. She closed her eyes but image of her husband in his brief fondling the half naked Betty kept popping up in her head. She took a deep breathe and open her eyes. When she opened her beautiful eyes she conceal every emotion that has pass through them with a smile ; "Emy you know it is very wrong to invade people's privacy, moreover where did you get all this pictures? " Susan asked her .

Emily looked up, she did not expect this reaction from her at all. She expect her outburst but this calm reaction her boss has truly grown up. She opened her mouth to say something but she just look at her boss.

 Susan look at her waiting for her explanation. Although the pictures show their faces real well but she knows the two will not betray her. The photos might even be photo shopped to sow more discord between them. Deep down in her heart she is fighting to believe what she saw or not. She is sure that Betty will not betray their sisterhood but notwithstanding she needed to listen to what Emily have to say.

Emily's voice interrupt her thought, she looked at her with smile.

"Ma'am Susan, am so sorry for coin this but I can't help it. I have noticed them long ago but since I did not have any evidence I  can say anything. When Sir Bob was still helping senior madam in the office one day your friend visit him when you are not in the company....."

"She can visit him. Have you forgotten she is my friend ? and visiting him does not warranty they are doing something suspicious ."Susan asked her with a raised eyebrow not getting her point.

" Yes ma!, I know perfectly that she is your friend but what I saw that day convinced me otherwise and I have suspect them but recently when you are sick with fever I went to visit the Harry representative at Spark morning cafe. I saw them again just to be sure and free my mind I called one if my friend that is private investigator to help me out and this is the result of his investigation."

" I am not getting something!!  you said you saw my friend visiting Bob but made you suspect them? " Susan asked.

   " I wanted to bring some files to him to verified. I knocked the door for like three minute but no reply. I thought he was busy that was why he did not hear my  knocking. I just open the door to notify him then I saw your friend jumped out of his leg and the two of them smoothing out their disheveling cloth. I closed the door immediately and kept my mouth shut."

Really! " Susan asked

" Yes ma. that is the truth" Emily replied.

Susan sigh when she heard her assistant explanations. She massage her temple; " Ok, Emy. Can I keep this photos?"

" Yes ma. It all yours; Emy replied

" Thank you very much for telling me this and please for God sake keep this as secret no one must know or must see this. You can go back to your post."

Emily nod her head . She stood up from her seat and flee from her office . When she is outside she heave a sigh of relieve patting her chest. She could not believe her boss did not throw her usual tantrum. She looked back at the closed door she shook her head feeling sorry for her boss.
