Could it be......?

Later that day, Susan still sitting on the sofa that Emily has left her earlier. She sat in a daze. She was still in dilemma. All the information she received is just too big for her to understand. 

Thou all the photographs seems convincing but she can not believe it. Bob might be angry with her at the moment for not putting him in charge of the company but she knows deep down that he can not betray her love for him and Betty on the other hand can not do that to her, she is not that type of a person, we have been through a lot together . She has even help her in paying her fee when her parent faced financial challenge.

 "She has lived with us for eleven month, eleven good month and she did not notice anything like that "  she mutter to herself.

Susan closed her eyes when she remembered they  were never friends during their high school days but they later meet again during her second year in Country A university . 

Betty was studying Business management while she was studying finance but the two minor in marketing. They became best of friends later. She smiled when the incidence that led to their friendship pop in her head.

FLASHBACK

At one of the school garden.

Susan sat on one of the benches in the garden reading her course note, no one want to be friend with her because of her snobby altitude not that she care. She did not even need any of them they all seem too fake. 

She was engrossed in what she was reading but a pair of leg in front of her got her attention. She did not know when the owner of the legs stand in front of her , she raised up her head to see a handsome hunk. She know him very well he was her senior, he is in class four finance student like herself. Many girls term him the most handsome guy ever. 

Thou he is handsome but she hate the way he behaves. He looks poor and average, she did not find him that attractive.  He always find trouble with her doing everything to gain her attention. She hate attention seeking lad like this, she stood up to excuse herself when she noticed he is not ready to leave.

 As she stand up to leave, he moved to block her part, she ignore him and turn around but he hold her hand to stop her from going  "Susan! can I talk to you please."he pleaded.

"No" came the reply . "can you please take your filthy hands off me."

"No, I won't leave you." he reply her too.

" Let go now or don't blame me." Susan looked at him with disdain she is feeling irritated by his touch every second.

"No, I won't let you go."

Paak! 

He was stunned, did she just slap him?. ( it like my wife love to slap me this much, this is her second time slapping me in my life,I should have known she love to slap, he thought inwardly with an amuse expression)

"Sorry, I won't disturb you again." he released her hand.

"That's better!, you should have use your brain in the first place instead of laying your filthy and wretched hand on me.  You this lowlife animal." Susan said with hiss before she leave the garden.

Everyone present behaves as if they are minding their business but they look at them in awe. no one want to cross path with the she devil. They all know she is a rich spoilt brat. They shook their heads when they noticed the hand print on his beautiful face, one as ever talk to him like that talk of slapping him. He was well respected , brilliant and fearful.  All most every girl want to gain his attention but he never look at them once. 

He quietly  leave the garden, he must have act on impulse just now. only God knows how he has restrain himself from talking to her. He look around to see all eyes on him. He lower his head and continue to walk out.

Betty smiled and immediately followed after Susan . She met her in one of the empty classes reading. She sat beside her.  You know that is a wonderful thing you did just now, I never like that guy, he is too proud just because people call him the most handsome ." Betty said when she sat down.

"Really! "she said with disinterest. 

" Susan, you know many sees you as arrogant and spoilt brat? "Betty asked

"hmmmm? I don't know any of that besides I don't give a damn what others think about me" Susan reply without raising her head from the book she is reading. She is annoyed with this fly around her now, can't they all leave her alone.

"But I don't see you like that....."Betty said which made Susan to look up. She has not expect her to say that many people see her as a bitch but she is the first person that will say otherwise.

" I like you a lot, it doest really matter if you are like this . Other may be blind to say you are arrogant but they did not know you are just classical ."

Susan did not say anything but just smile at her word.

The following day, they met at the restaurant and they kick of from their. The two talk at length ( Betty do most of the talk while Susan listen). Susan learn that they share same interest, same taste both in fashion and food,apart from that she is the only one that did not mind her snobby attitude ,she made more effort in moving closer to her and to know her better. They became friend since then.

PRESENT

Susan was so immerse in her thought that she fail to notice its four thirty already, she has been sitting on the spot for three hours now. She decided to get off work since she did not have much to do or she can not do much with trouble mind.

She stand up with determination to find out the truth but she needed to visit her parent in-law today to find out if Bob is with them and if possible show these pics to her mother  in-law. She is like her second mother and will advice her on the best thing to do. She did not want to disturb her mother with this issue at all  not until she conduct a proper investigation. 

She stood up took her bag and pack up her laptop and some files she need to tend to.

"Emily? I want to go out now, don't wait for me I might not come back to the office." Susan said.

"OK ma, good night ma."

Susan left her office and drive down to her parent in-laws' house, the journey took her forty minute. originally it is usually one hour or fifty five minute drive from her office.

She wanted to drive inside but for no reason she drive a few meter away from the mansion and parked her car. She did not want them to know of her presence, she will just give them a surprise and more so she will not want to alarm her husband if he is around.  She smiled when she imaging their happy faces.

The guard at the gate opened the gate for her, they all recognise her so no need to ask her or anybody. She smile sweetly at them after exchanging of pleasantries she walk to the main mansion.

Susan rang the door bell twice before a maid name Mary open the door for her.

"Mary ,how are you? " where is everyone? Susan asked immediately she enter the living room.

"Good after noon madam." Mary bow in greeting. "Madam and Sir are in their private living room ma. " She pick up a slippers from the shoe cabinet and place it on the floor for Susan

"Thank you Mary. "Susan bend down and remove her shoe to put on the slippers provided for her.

"Mary thank you, you can go back to what you are doing. There is no need to announce my presence I want to surprise them." Susan said to the waiting Mary.

"OK young madam, thank you ma." She said and turn to leave.

Susan went toward the private living room of her parent in-law, she want to knock but her hand paused in mid air. She heard the clicking of glass coming from the living room and a joyous tone of her mother in law. She wonder what the occasion is for her to be talking like this.  As if by instinct she tip toe ,moved closer to the door to hear what they are talking about.

She gasped in surprise, what she heard next make her body cold as if a bucket of cold what was pour directly on her. She cover her mouth so she will not make any sound, a moment later she composed herself. After a moment of hesitation if she should go back or not. She knows that they will still know she came around if she should leave now, if the guard at the door did not say anything what about the maid. 

She decided to enter to make them aware she is around. Now instead of her purpose of coming here come to fruition but she heard what she did not expect at all. 

She went in but she did not know that is her biggest mistake.
