Where did I go wrong?

She stood up from her bed, look through the window to see who is parking downstairs.

 She noticed its Bob's car, she was delighted . She quickly went to her dressing table comb her hair and apply little made up to look more beautiful. She went downstairs to meet with her husband.

Bob was already in the living room changing his shoe at the door when his wife came down he pretended he did not see her and continue with what he is doing. 

Susan moved closer to hug him but she was pushed away ruthlessly hitting her back at the side of three sitter sofa in the living room. She groan in pain. Susan closed her eyes to fight back the tear that is threaten to escape from her eyes.

"Bob? "she called gently. She massage her sore back silently.

Bob stop to hear what she heard to say; "what is it ?"he asked coldly.

"I.....I...I.... have...being sick...since two days now. why don't you come home?" Susan said stuttering.

"So what if you have been sick? are you dead already? or am a doctor? so why should I adult sit you?" Bob hissed at her.

Susan open her mouth to say something but it seems all the word in her throat as ran away, she just continue to look at him in bewilderment.

Bob continue; "its like you don't get the message . I don't want to see you. Stir clear of my way. If I had know that you will be awake by now I wouldn't come here at all."

 The tears she has been desperately fighting is now streaming down her cheek. She did not expect to hear such harsh words from her husband. He did not want to see her. She use the back of her hand to wipe her tears away. She wanted to talk but Bob is already going up the stairs. She anxiously ran after him. She hold his sleeve sobbing.

"Bob? where did i go wrong? what have done?  please forgive me,no matter what I have done. Please  Bob, you can't continue to treat me like this. This is not how we started a year ago. Please, I love you so much Bob. Tell me where I go wrong and I will make corrections." Susan said in between her sobbing.

  Bob looked at her coldly forcefully hold her chin up . 

He chuckle to see her red face. Susan gritted her teeth to endure the pain. She did not want to give him the pleasure of seeing her sob this night again.

"Say that word again Susan? say it again." Bob scream at her.

"You can not talk again ?cat got your tongue? Look here my dear!  you are not qualified to use the word "love" . You have cheated that 'love' when you agreed to marry me just for you to fulfill your father's will."

      " I agreed that I was mean and say nasty things about you then but they are all in the past now I  love you !  I really do Bob!   Just tell me where I go wrong. Let's start all over again."  Susan manage to say.

"Who do you think you are ordering me about? Start all over again, dream on..."  he scoff at her before releasing her chin. He continue to walk away not caring about his wife at all.

He stopped at the last stair . He did not turn back but said; "If you want us to start all over again do what I ask you to do and let go of your arrogance. It disgust me."  After saying his piece he turned away right into the guest room.

Susan heard him clearly, the hand massaging her chin paused. She sat with a thud in the middle of the stairs. She sob silently.

 She is arrogant, Yes! but she is a chanced person now.  Concerning the second option she look toward the direction of guest room and sigh . Bob, I can't do that I can't let my father's sweat go like that. I can not hand over his company to you. Please Bob. " She cried silently for a long time begging Bob that has left long time a go.

Later, she stood up and went to her room tiredly she lay on her bed trying to sleep but no matter how she tried she never sleep until dawn.

   Inside the guest room.

 Bob smiles smugly . 

He peep through the key hole. He saw her sitting there crying her eyes out. 

  He was satisfied with the result, all he wanted to do is to frustrate her. He removed his cloth and went into the bathroom to shower. He put on his pyjamas and lay on his bed to browse through his phone . 

He was still browsing when a call came in on his phone.

"Hello! yes don't worry .  we see tomorrow."   he said to the person on the line . He disconnect the call placed the phone on the headboard and slept without a care in the world .

" Come back here young man. "Where do you think you are going ? "Mrs Tim said to the sneaking Jerry .

" ahaaa! mother!  I don't know you are there." Jerry said awkwardly .

     "I am here, as you can see." respond Mrs Tim stand up and block his way.

  "What are you doing here alone late in the night? mum? "Jerry asked.

   "What does it look like am doing? of course am waiting to talk with you."

  " Mum you shouldn't be doing that! waiting for me till this time? we can always talk anytime." Jerry cajoled.

" I see! we can talk anytime. So, now is the time ; "Mrs Tim reply with straight face.

" Mum can we talk in the morning! Am tired I need to rest." he yawn( he want to divert her attention he knows he will not hear the end of it for what happened during the blind date. If he should escape this night he will leave before she wakes up. )

"No son! we are doing the talking right now !Don't think I don't know what you are trying to do. We are talking right now. I don't care if you are tired or not." She said with her hand crossed on her chest.

Jerry sigh.  He know there is no room for escape now. "OK . let's sit down or are we going to remain standing? " he joked.

Mrs Tim follows him to the sofa. They sat opposite each other.

   "Am listening; "she said

   " To what mum? you have not said anything yet." Jerry said looking else where.

" I want to hear everything that happens during the date. " She asked

" mummy if that is why you asked to talk..... I will inform you that nothing happened it went well. can I go now? " he asked

"No you can't go and yes something happened." she said with a raised voice

"Don't  think I don't know everything that transpire between the two of you." she stood you up for seventeen minute!so what?  is that why you have to humiliate her that much? You really disappoint me Jerry. How could you behave so childish. If you are not interested you should have at least talk nicely with her and be a true gentleman but instead you behave like a rascal. what has gotten into your head ?"  she yelled at him.

Jerry looked at the floor he knows he went too far. Her mother is truly provoked he knows that but what could he do to appease her? he thought in his head.

 " Mother, it's not what you think!  Please calm down. Let's talk it out . It won't help if the maids wake up hearing their madam's voice like this."

Mrs Tim sat down but still fuming at him

"Mummy ? you know what happened is not my doing. I don't expect that waiter to splash her with drinks and more so she look like a zombie." he laughed when he remembered how Sofia look.

 " You this brat! "she throw pillow at him which he caught effortlessly. the two of them burst into laughter.

"Don't tell me you are not the one that trip the young man."  she asked in between her laughter.

Jerry scratched his head as answer

"I know its your doing Jerry stop been mischievous."

 "Don't you go through her profile at all?" she asked again.

"Hmmmmm? " he asked looking confused

"Jerry !!!!! its intentional right!"

"what mother? " he questioned

"Don't play dumb with me man.!"

"Mummy??? why all this questioning? By the way mum, we have signed the contract with the  imperial holdings..."he said trying to divert her attention away from the topic.

" Really ! that a good news then. We will toast to that later." Mrs Tim said happily.

Jerry smiled when he heard her reply he succeeded in changing the topic but what he heard next is like a cold water that was splash on his head

 "....back to what we are saying Jerry, so why did you that?"

 He sigh! he knows he failed again. now he decided to say the truth.

"Mum I did it intentionally. She is too picky  for crying out loud. She lack manners too. So she left me with no choice."  he shrugged.

"Jerry, you would have tell her nicely. That is not the best approach. Her mother has been calling me ever since then. She complaint bitterly about you. Now I will have to do the cleaning up for you." Mrs Tim complained.

"Thanks mum. Please mum, can I go now? I want to sleep ." Jerry pout

Mrs Tim chuckled seeing how cute he look . Alright son but you have to apologize to her mother properly.

"OK ma!. I will do it in the morning." he stood up pecked her and ran off to his room.

Mrs Tim smiled at him. She also stand up to her room to call it a day.
