Detention

•••••Xavier's POV•••••

I saw her back disappearing in the crowd. Did I want to talk to her and ask her why she always runs away from us? 

What happened to her wrist?

 Is she hurt?

 I looked towards Daxton, who looked more clueless and confused than me. 

I wanted to laugh after seeing his expression, but I somehow suppressed my laughter. 

His mouth was opening and closing like a fish and he was moving his head to me and then in the direction where Aaria went and was moving his hands in the air.

 He was trying to say something but he couldn't form a proper sentence. 

So I decided to ask him if he knew why she was rubbing her wrist like she was in pain and since when he was talking to her.

Xavier: Shut your mouth before flies go inside it(Laughing)

 Daxton: Uhmm... Yeah(scratching his head) 

Xavier: By the way, why didn't you call me when you saw her? (arching his eyebrows)

 Daxton: I wanted to call you but you were talking to Ethan so I decided not to disturb you. (awkward) 

Xavier: Ohh.

 Daxton: And maybe she'll get scared after seeing you with me, that's why too. (muttering under his breath) 

Xavier: What did you say? 

Daxton: Nothing (Grinning) 

Xavier: You did, your lips were moving (arching his eyebrows and looking at Daxton ) 

Daxton: Nothing. (Smirking)

 Xavier: By the way, why was she rubbing her wrist?? Is she hurt? (worriedly) 

Suddenly Ethan comes. 

Ethan: Who's hurt? (Looking towards Daxton and Xavier from toe to head) 

Xavier: Aaria maybe ( confused). 

Ethan: Ohhhhhh. 

Daxton: Don't know man, I was calling her but she didn't stop so I thought she didn't hear me. So I decided to stop her but when I grabbed her wrist and turned her back she hissed in pain and shrieked and started to rub her wrist.

 Xavier: Ugh, who told you to hold her wrist tightly? See, that's why we call you the destroyer. (Annoyingly) 

Daxton: Hey, it's not my fault, I swear. I held her wrist softly and I made sure not to hurt her and even I'm confused why she hissed and shrieked because I'm sure that my hold was loose. (Confused) I even saw a bandage on her forehead. 

Xavier: Yeah, I saw it yesterday too. I think she hurt her wrist too. ( Confusingly answers) 

Daxton: Hmm... I think so too. But how did she get hurt on her head and wrist?

 Xavier: She told me yesterday that she slipped. 

Daxton: Ohhhh. 

Xavier: Let's go, the class is about to start. (Checking his watch) 

Daxton: Let's go Eth... 

Before he could complete his sentence, he realized that Ethan was looking at the backside of the school and was lost in his thinking. 

Daxton and Xavier shared looks and then look in the same direction as Ethan and saw nothing. 

Xavier: Ethan. ( Touching his shoulders) 

Ethan: Ye...Yeah. 

Xavier: Okay, you looked lost. 

Ethan: Yeah, let's go now(walking ahead of them) 

We all went towards our locker and gathered our books and went to our perspective classes.

           •••••Daxton's POV•••••

 Yesterday I asked everything about Aaria from Xavier he told me everything but when I told him about my thoughts he started to act protective and said that he doesn't want me to be involved with her and I agree because I feel protective of her but not in that way.

 I just wanted to be friends. 

I couldn't sleep and in the morning when I saw her I couldn't stop myself from approaching her but everything went wrong because maybe unknowingly I hurt her.

 For the 1st time, I regret having a fit body. But it was weird because I knew that I didn't hold her hand tightly and she shrieked like I just twisted her wrist. 

Then Xavier told me that she told him that she slipped and hurt herself.

 I wanted to believe it but my mind was saying it otherwise. I don't know why, but I didn't believe it. 

And this made me more curious about her.

 I feel like there's something more about it. And I will try to find it out for sure. 

           •••••Aaria's POV •••••

 I didn't see Benny in the morning. I don't even call her phone anymore. I wanted to talk to her and ask her about avoiding the trio. 

I couldn't focus on anything because of them.

 I don't know what he wanted from me that day. 

He clearly warned me to stay away from him and today he himself approached me. They're so confusing.

 I don't know how I will face them again. 

I just hope that they're not angry with me for running away.

 God, please save me, please.

The 1st half of the day went peacefully as none of them tried to talk to me or sat near me. 

I wasn't in the mood for lunch so I decided to walk towards the backside of the building and went near the same tree and looked around to see if anyone was there again. 

After checking the surroundings, I sat and continued my sketching which I left yesterday because of Ethan. 

I was making a sketch of a girl who was struggling to get out from the grip of her dark past.  Her body is badly bruised. There are some hands in the darkness which are soaked with blood and are trying to pull that girl back into the depths of darkness. 

I was again lost in sketching and came out of my thoughts when I heard the bell ring. 

I checked my watch and cursed myself. 

Shit, I'm going to be late. I hurriedly packed my bag and made my way towards my locker and grabbed my books and made my way towards my class. 

I entered and saw only a few students.

 I sighed in relief and sat beside a window seat. It was the last class of the day. 

I have this class together with Ethan. 

After a few minutes, I heard a chair next to me screeching.

 I looked up and saw Ethan sitting beside me. I looked ahead and saw 2-3 empty benches.

 Why did he sit beside me? 

I just hope that this class ends peacefully. 

Mr.Greg entered and started going to teach but I couldn't focus because my mind was distracted. 

The class ended soon and as I was about to get up I heard my professor call me. 

Mr.Greg: Aaria. 

Aaria: Yes..... Yes sir. (nervously)

 Mr Greg: Detention after school. (Giving a slip to Aaria) 

OMG, no detention.

 Why?

 What did I do?

 No, I can't get detention. I have to reach home before Robert comes or else he'll not leave me today. (Starts to sweat) 

Aaria: Bu... But why... Why sir? (shakey voice) 

Mr.Greg: You were not focusing on the class from the start. 

Meet Ms.Haley in your English class after school ends.

Saying this he left before I could say anything.

 I sat on my chair and started to think about Robert and what he would do if I got late. 

No one can save me now... Suddenly, I felt Ethan in front of my eyes. 

He was saying something but I couldn't hear anything...
