New Friends

•••••Aaria's POV•••••

I suddenly opened my eyes but closed them instantly because of the bright light. 

I slowly opened my eyes again and adjusted them to bright light.

I saw a white ceiling. As far as I remember, the ceiling of my room is dark purple. 

I heard some distant voices and confusedly got up and the pain shot through my arms. 

I realized that my right hand was connected to an IV drip. 

Am I in the hospital? 

I looked around and saw that I was alone and in unfamiliar surroundings too. 

Then it hit me, I remembered everything.

How I fell and how I was harshly shoved on the lockers.

How they were laughing and the trio.

My breathing started to get shorter. 

I looked around and started to feel suffocated.

 I need to get out of here, as soon as possible. 

If they find me again, then they'll bully me again. I need to go. 

I hurriedly tried to remove the IV drip from my hand. 

My hands are shaking badly and I can't take them off.

 My vision starts to get blurred. I need to go before someone comes. 

Then I heard the sound of the door clicking. 

Someone is here. 

I hurriedly pulled the IV drip and then looked ahead. 

Before I could see who's there, someone hugged me and started to rub my back while saying soothing words.

"Shhh" 

"Relax" 

 I tried to push her. I struggled to get out of her hold but she didn't leave me.

After some time, when I recognized her voice, I stopped struggling.

 She smelled like strawberries and I realized she's none other than Benny.

 My body instantly relaxed after realizing that it's her.

 Why is she here? 

What is she doing here?

 " Be...Benn.Benny?" 

I called out with so much difficulty because my mouth was dry. 

She left me instantly and moved back.

 I crawled back slowly, looked up and noticed that she was looking for something.

 She handed me a glass of water. 

I gulped the water and handed her back the glass.

 Benny: OMG, what happened to your hand? (Pointing at my hand)

 I looked towards my right hand and saw that it was slightly bleeding because I pulled an IV drip. 

Benny: Let me call Nurse. (Walking out of the door) 

(Aaria Sighs)

 How did I end up here? 

Who brought me here? 

She's didn't seem angry with me. I want to go home. 

This place makes me feel sicker. 

I tried to get out of bed but stumbled back. 

"Take it easy" 

I heard someone say, I looked towards the voice and saw a middle-aged woman with Auburn hair coming towards me smilingly with Benny. 

She was wearing a white coat. I think she's the nurse that Benny was talking about. 

Nurse: You shouldn't have pulled it, see it's not empty yet(Pointing towards the glucose bottle) 

Aaria: So...sorry. But I'm Fi... fine. (Slowly) 

Nurse: You're not, you're weak. Let me fix it and stay still. You can go after it's empty.

I looked towards Benny pleadingly.

 Benny: Don't worry, I'll keep you company. Don't be afraid. (Gently smiling) 

" What happened to her hand?" 

I looked up and saw Daxton standing in front of me staring at my hand.

 Benny: Nothing, where are others? 

What is he doing here? 

 Daxton: They're both outsides. (Looking at Benny)

 (He started to walk towards Aaria. ) 

Why is he coming towards me?

 Is he going to hurt me? 

Ohh god, not again.

 I looked towards the nurse and tried to hold her but before I could hold her she backed off and started talking to Benny.

 I looked towards Daxton and saw him smiling at me, I pulled my legs towards my chest and crawled backwards until my back hit the wall.

 He came and suddenly pulled me into a hug.

 I tried to move back but stopped after hearing him. 

Daxton: You scared me dumbo. (Sounding serious)

 First, the first time I heard him talking to me seriously. 

I have only heard him when he's angry or joking around.

 Daxton: Everyone was scared. Now don't try to run away from us. We care for you. We were worried. (Whispering in her ears while hugging) Thank god that we reached on time and  took you here or else I don't know what would have happened. (Sighing) 

Hearing him my eyes started to tear up because no one except my uncle and aunt ever had said this or cared for to me. 

For the 1st time, I think that I'll be able to live a normal school life and will have friends.

 (He broke the hug and kissed my forehead. And started to turn around. )

 I hurriedly grabbed his forearm, and he turned around and looked at me. 

Aaria: Th... Thank you. You(slowly sobbing and smiling)

 (Daxton Chuckles) 

Daxton: I don't accept it(Playfully smiling)I want something (Mischievously smiling) 

Aaria: Wh.. What? (Scrunching her eyebrows) I don...don't have anything (Worriedly)

(Daxton sitting beside her) 

Daxton: Let me think(Tapping his head with fingers) Friends? (Forwarding his hand) 

I looked at his hand and after some seconds I held his hand and shook my hands with him.

 Aaria: Friends (happily nodding and wiping her tears) 

Benny: Don't make me cry now(Wiping fake tears and laughing) Now go and inform them both. (Pushing Daxton) 

(He smiles and gets up) 

Daxton: Okay, Let me inform them, they'll be happy hearing that you woke up especially Ethan. (Winking at her).

 (Daxton leaves)

 Benny: Someone got new friends, now I don't think that I'm needed anymore(Looking at Aaria and faking tears) 

Aaria: Yeah, you are right(Playing along)

 Benny: What??  (Loudly) Don't you dare leave me alone for thee.?(angrily)

 Aaria: (Laughing) I won't leave you (smiling ) 

Benny: You scared the hell out of them(laughing ansittingngbeside hhereerrorrororr

Aaria: Benny? 

Benny: Yeah?

 Aaria; How did I end up here? (Confusedly) 

Benny: Uhm... Ethan took you here. You faint in the hallway. 

Aaria: Ohhh. 

After some time, the trio walked in and sat beside her. 

None of them talked about anything. 

Oh god, it's getting awkward. 

Suddenly Daxton and Benny started to talk about random topics. 

(Ethan was talking to Xavier)

Wait, don't they have any classes? 

Ohh no, I missed my classes too. 

Aaria: Why are you guys here instead of your classes? 

Daxton: Because we wanted to bunk and now we have a valid reason to bunk our classes too. (Happily) 

Benny: Agreed, I wanted to bunk too(Laughing) 

(Xavier Chuckles and shakes his head smiling helplessly ) 

They started to talk to themselves.

All this while Ethan was sitting silently, and only spoke when he was asked something. 

I wanted to thank him but didn't get the chance. 

Watching them smiling and happily joking, I realized that they're not bad as I heard that they are. 

From this moment I decided that I'll give myself a chance to forget my past and move on.

 I'll try to leave everything behind and try to bring a new change in my life.

 I don't know if it's wrong decision or right but it's worth a try because I don't have anything to lose now. 

After some time Nurse came and said that I'm fit to go. 

I decided to go home because I have already wasted half of my day in the medical room.

 We made our way towards the exit. 

The trio went towards their car and drove off because they had some work.

We bid farewell.

I started to walk towards my house but Benny stopped me and told me that she'd give me a lift. 

. I agreed because my legs were aching. I hopped with her and she dropped me off.

 I went to my room and changed. 

Finally, I have friends who worry about me and supported me. Thinking I slept peacefully.
